Truffling around at beautiful Honeydown
I was gifted a stay at HoneyDown farm as a Christmas present topped up for my birthday. It was kept a surprise so I had no idea what to expect.
Having spent most of my childhood camping, I’m over it, and haven’t been glancing before.
The welcome was great, giving us full instructions on how to use everything, I’m only sad we didn’t need to use the fire!
The truffle itself is beautiful, cosy blankets, plenty of space, board games, log fire. We were in Dormouse which is closest to the bathroom block.
My only worry was the huge windows, gorgeous in the day, not so great for someone with sleep problems who sleeps in a completely black room at home. If this is you, bring an eye mask.
The sea is 40 minutes away at Bude, a lovely little town.
The site has started taking bookings directly through the website now so I’d encourage that.
They are looking to build a sauna and extend their pond so you can combine heat with cold water immersion.
Thanks for the great stay!
