6 Weeks and NO Reply

About 6 weeks ago, I ordered a couple RC cars from Losi.com. I didn't want to order them from Horizon, because they have such a bad reputation. But to my surprise, the order went through Horizon anyway. Losi will not reply to my emails. And Horizon doesn't recognize the Losi order number. I will never order anything from either place again. If I do buy any Losi products in the future, it will be through HobbyTown, or AMain.

My 9 year old son worked and saved...

My 9 year old son worked and saved his money so he could buy the Jeep Wrangler rc. When a kid saves that much money for something, you know they want it. The rc ended up not being what he expected, it was slow and doesn't turn to the right. Tried to do a return but since it was opened, they will not accept it.

RC BOAT SANK IMMEDIATELY

We purchased the Recoil 2 18' Self-righting Brushless Deep-V RTR RC boat. We read all the directions together, watched YouTube videos, and as soon as we placed in the water - it flipped over and SUNK. We live in Florida so there is no way we are going in the lake to retrieve with alligators that we know live in there. I have spent upwards of 7 hours with customer service on chat, on hold, on phone, in email - and currently still on hold - AGAIN ... Their Customer Service team is absolutely awful and their products are awful for the prices you pay. The products are worth MAYBE 1/4 of what you are paying - so beware.. just go somewhere else. They suck. I will change this IF i am sent a new boat, an apology, and an additional credit for waiting so long on customer service. Otherwise, this stays to forewarn others to not go with Hobby Horizon.

Recently I purchased a new Viper 90mm…

Recently I purchased a new Viper 90mm edf Arf by mistake, since I had an extra motor and ESC I decided to keep it. The parts worked well, but the wiring in the plane was not right and caused problems. Horizon Hobby sent me a label for shipping and took the plane back to work on it. They were very busy, but did the work with new parts for the wiring etc. and checked it out. When they finished it was better than new and worked perfectly. This is not the first time Horizon Hobby has gone above and beyond to help me. This is a great company with great products and help when possible.

A big shout out for Jason in Product Support he is brilliant and his response times are excellent
OK I'm a newbie to RC flying and my questions may be pretty basic but he has helped me a lot.

6 weeks and waiting

About six weeks ago from when I’ve posted this, I ordered a propeller for one of my planes (it snapped) and I needed the propeller in about a week after ordering, I thought it was fine because the website says it will take two days to ship to my country, but the website kept saying “awaiting shipment” after the week was up, they hadn’t even sent the propeller from the warehouse! Every day for the past six weeks I’ve opened the website to see the same thing “AWAITING SHIPMENT”.

P.S Ive tried contacting customer service but they’re saying “there is is technical issue”

Two tech service calls…

Two tech service calls were very beneficial in solving my airplane issue. However the wait for a tech was more than a hour each time. Fortunately I had tasks to work on while waiting .
One call with a question was solved by the Chat Bot.
Good answers but long wait !

Got charged twice on an item I purchased. Called up customer service and they were very rude and unhelpful, I just better get my money back. Won’t be ordering from Horizon Hobby again.

I bought an rc from a local retailer…

I bought an rc from a local retailer and it had a defect in one of the gear boxes. I contacted horizon hobby through email and they sent me a new truck with no hassle, just a short video of problem. Very happy

Horizon Hobby support came through again

I contacted Horizon Hobby support for an issue with an old AR6250 RC receiver. The support team contacted me quickly and were very helpful to determine the issue and provide resolution. It took several back-and-forth communications to correctly identify the issue. My receiver was VERY old, and therefore, I could not connect it via the Spektrum programming tool. The support team was very responsive on this issue, and any other time I contacted them for help.

Have changed over years. Don’t care about customers.

For years I have enjoyed buying gear at horizon hobby. From the latest planes and helicopters to parts for my existing fleet. Their customer service had previously took good care of me. I only ask any company be reasonable and honor their promises. Recently I ordered a PNP Corsair from them for 263$ on 9/6/2024. I still have not received my item despite the listing saying 5 business days. The tracking says it’s still on the way but lost. I have asked for a refund and they said no. They continued to ignore my requests over the last week to escalate to a manager or refund my money. I then asked to cancel my other orders and they also refused. They have essentially stolen my money. I purchased a lot of items over the years and disappointed int the rudeness and disrespect from their customer service. Specifically Aleic G said this is common for e-commerce and they will continue to investigate but regardless would not return my money. I am pursuing all options, including legal action for the theft and also wanted to ensure the public is aware. I typically focus on positive reviews as you can see from my past reviews but theft is unacceptable. They refuse to cancel my orders and still do not have the products I purchased. BEWARE as they are no longer concerned with their customers. Buy drom another company or local as most hobby shops honor their sales.

Ordered the wrong batteries three lipo…

I did leave a one star review and was completely beside myself about customer service. Dexter from customer support reached back out to me and made everything right, going well above and beyond what I think anybody would do. So five stars all the way, this is a great company, you just have to stay respectful. Thanks Dexter!!!

I've read some other reviews and my…Keeping it Positive

I've read some other reviews and my experience has been nothing but positive with Horizon Hobby product service people. I communicated by email and both times they responded within 24 hours, and both times with quick remedies to my issues. Its a tough job dealing with customers, especially in service/product issues. Good work folks and thank you for your excellent service.

Great customer support via email

Horizon Hobby may not be easily reachable by phone but they do sincerely respond to email warranty requests. After I emailed them a video of my defective product, they mailed me replacement items immediately.

Customer service is nonexistent

Customer service is nonexistent. If you get a person they transfer you somewhere else to be on hold forever. I bought a product from them that broke when I tried to assemble for my son. Tried to return the product or get any support and there is nobody. Would not recommend buying from this company. Prices are reasonable but will pay in spades if there is an issue with the product. They do not stand behind what they sell.

Horrible packaging, and even worse customer service

I have placed 2 orders with horizon hobby, and both times had issues. My first order showed up loose in a large box. The factory box my rc should have been in was gone. The car was just bouncing around in a big FedEx box. The Losi box was never received. My most recent order was broken into multiple shipments, and my card was double charged. I tried calling customer service, and the phone number they provide does not work. After an hour trying to connect with someone on there live chat I spent 10 minutes getting told the same thing over and over. They did correct the charges on my card, but made it as difficult as possible to get it done. I should have never placed a second order with this company after my first experience. Hopefully my recent order at least shows up in the right box.
