Shocking failure to deliver on time and no date promised after the missed date!

I ordered removal boxes on 3.12.2025 to be delivered in 1-2 working days- ie should have arrive on -friday 5th,It did not arrive on the 5th, nor -saturday 6th.I have booked 2 identical flights to the UK to fly on Monday 8.12 and 9.12 so that if the delivery did not come on the 5th or 6th , at least it should come on the 8th .however I rang this morning and they have just informed me that they are ' encore en route et trop loin de votre adresse.'Now I have been given thi option:Souhaitez-vous donc annuler la commande ou avez vous une autre adresse, où la marchandise pourrait être livrée .
Well, actually no thanks, these are packing boxes, for a house removal!
What do i do?Miss the second flight , thus wasting money on 3 flights in total, and wait for a delivery that is not even promising any particular time or date? I will never use hornbach again, and i am going to sue them for compensation for my missed flights

I ordered a wrong item, impossible to cancel or return

I ordered a wrong item, when I noticed it (after 45 minutes) I cancelled the order from their website.
They sent the item anyways. I asked explanations and they didn't answer, now I wanted to send the item back but the process is not as easy as downloading a label, you need to send them an email first asking them if you can return it, and they won't answer you.

Sibiu shop

I was yesterday in the shop in Sibiu, and happy with the service inside the shop. But a different story with the employees outside, at the construction materials. Three employees sitting and talking at the exit, holding the barrier, which is far away from the shelves with the products.
As a woman I had to lift a sac of 25 kg of cement (ten of them), and put them in the car….as nobody was around to ask for help.
Then, I understand this have to be counted against the receipt, but didn’t make sense why they wanted to check the receipts and see the items in my car from the shop…. which of course they don’t have them there. More than that, they could see are paid and still wanted to see them. Where it’s the common sense? Why they don’t check the cars at the entrance? Or, at least somebody there to telling you what the rules are there. When I told them that we appreciate some help from them, they said it’s a self service.
Very unpleasant experience.

Great customer experience

I had great experience with support lady who helped me organize transport of 1150kg delivery on exact time I needed. She was really proactive but unfortunately I forgot her name. However she helped me so much that we sticked to buying stuff for our new home from Hornbach because of their customer service (Brno - Heršpice)

I have orderes some isolation material…

I have orderes some isolation material on the 20th of September and today on the 18th of October I still did not receive it. I am asking everyday and they do not provide any delivery time and all renovation work is delaying because of that

Terrible atmosphere, rude staff

Hornbach used to be the better place to go for advice, as staff were more knowledgeable and helpful. That's not the case anymore, and staff are openly rude/mocking if you're unsure of what you need.

They dont appreciate customer feedback

They dont appreciate customer feedback. Cheap untested outdoor lights being passed on to non- suspecting customer. These lights stop working below zero degrees. Bought 3 - all 3 malfunctioned. I requested them to test or remove, product still being sold! Luminio LED connect , Compact Twinkle in blue boxes..

Unfriendly staffs

Unfriendly staffs. Long waiting period (>3 weeks) if you want to cut a wooden plank to your shape, which takes only 10 minutes of a staff's labour.

Accuses customers for stealing

Mitt svenska är inte så bra så jag skriver på engelsk.
If I could give you 0 stars I would.!
I wrote an e-mail regarding this last wednesday and still haven’t got a response.
Last wednesday (29. Maj) I went to your shop in Arlöv with my mother-in-law. We needed to buy some mosaik for my bathroom which we desperately needed for the handymen who is installing Them the next morning.
We brought a piece of the mosaik from home and talked to an employee before entering the store, that it was ok for us to bring it so we could match the color.
We Got 4 things and go to the selfservice cashiers. A Young girl (Nelly) is on duty there and helps us scanning one of the items as it fails when we try. She is not excactly friendly and we could feel she kept an eye on us. We scan the 4 items, pay with creditcard and leave the store and go to the car.
We put the items in the back and gets in to hit the road. My mother-in-law sees then Nelly and a securityguard come running out of the store when she points at us. The guard comes very fast over to our car and tells us to get out of the car and follow him together with the stuff we just bought. As we need to go to another store for tiles, as I didn’t get a match with any of your tiles, I tell him we are in a hurry. He then lets us stay at the car and demands to see the receipt. He gets the receipt and emidiately states that we have only paid for 3 items in the store But have 4 in the car. I tell him that the tiles were from home and we were allowed to take Them into the store by one of the employees. He says, (again) that we only have paid for 3 things and points to the receipt. I now points at the receipt and tell him that one of the lines states “2 styck x 99,00” and to the other 2 lines so that makes 4! Instead of admitting his mistake he then checks the 4 items is correct - which they are!!!
When he realises this he just says ok everything is fine and have a nice day.
WHAT? We don’t get an apology for just accusing us of stealing?? Storming out of the store and to our car for everyone watching thinking that we stole?
We don’t get an apology from neither him OR Nelly who clearly is the one that told the guard.
This was my first and absolutely last time in your store!
So much for customer service👎🏼
