We needed to migrate a web application off a VPS to a shared plan and Vlad was quick to help and answer questions. He quickly moved our site for testing and explained what all was needed to complete our migration. We originally moved some sites to Hostek about 15 years ago but, over the past several years, noticed a significant decrease in quality of service. I am happy to say that our recent experience makes me believe that Hostek is really trying to improve and regain the reputation that they used to have in respect to customer service.

Having been with this company since 2005, I've watched all sorts of changes, but unfortunately they've just got worse and worse. Random unannounced price increases, non-existent support. Avoid.
I noticed that our hosting invoices had increased by 50% this month. I thought this must be a mistake so I brought it to their attention and got this reply:
"Hello Paul,
As per our terms of service, yes, we can raise prices at any time and without notice if necessary. This was not intended to go this way, but unfortunately due to an issue with the website code, we were forced to run an audible here. Unfortunately, the price increase will stand. If a dispute is filed, service will be immediately suspended, and we will show the terms of service as proof, this is something we unfortunately have experience with, and usually do win those. "
There was no issue with the website code, we are web developers, and we have noticed the service levels at Hostek plummet in recent years. Their support is now almost non-existent.
We will be moving all business away. Avoid at all costs.

As I can't reply I'll respond here - they made a half arsed attempt at making a smaller but still massive increase in prices of 25%.
As a senior web developer who now manages a team of web developers, I was never told about any code issues, and the code hadn't changed in years, they just suddenly increased our automatic payment without mentioning it and probably hoped we wouldn't notice.
Pure profiteering. Avoid this company.

We had an issue with our emails not working. The reason being we had purchased our domain and emails from Hostek but our website was designed with another vendor. Once the domain was pointed to the other vendor the website worked. this caused the emails to stop working. Vlad was very helpful in letting us know what to do to get them working. Thank you Vlad

Avoid at All Costs — Shocking Support and Serious Security Failings
I’ve been with Hostek for several years without major incident, but when a serious security breach compromised my domain, their response was nothing short of disgraceful.
My site was hacked — thousands of spam pages were injected into my domain — and despite repeated requests, Hostek failed to acknowledge the severity or take full responsibility. Not only did they deflect blame, but they routed all communication through a single gatekeeper, effectively cutting me off from the rest of their support team. Emails and live chats are intercepted and no escalation pathway is honoured. Even their UK phone number is now defunct.
They assisted with DNS and cPanel access during a CMS integration — changes they made — but now refuse to investigate how the breach occurred or take accountability. Worse, I’ve been locked out of my own cPanel and they’ve gone completely silent.
I'm clearly not alone in this. Since it happened, I’ve discovered many other long-term customers reporting the same treatment — locked accounts, ignored tickets and a total collapse of support and communication.
If you value your time, your business, or your sanity — avoid Hostek. What used to be a decent company has become chaotic, unaccountable and downright hostile in a crisis.

Unfortunately, your response is exactly why this situation is so appalling. You continue to dodge all responsibility and hide behind technicalities, while I — your customer — have been left to clean up the disaster caused by your actions.
Let’s be crystal clear: this issue did not begin with my site being hacked due to negligence on my part. It began when Hostek handled a DNS redirection to Systeme io. This action left the domain exposed and vulnerable — ultimately leading to a catastrophic hijacking that should have been anticipated and prevented.
When the DNS change resulted in a flood of malicious, explicit, and hijacked content being served under my domain, you didn’t just fail to alert me — you outright denied it was even happening, despite the overwhelming evidence.
You keep repeating: “there was no hack to Hostek’s infrastructure” — as if that absolves you. It doesn’t. It simply reveals how unwilling you are to own your part in this.
This wasn’t a typical hosting issue. This was a complete failure in how you handled my DNS and domain services — something you had access to and changed. And when I came to you asking for help, your response wasn’t concern or accountability — it was to block communication, then throw a refund at me and walk away, as if that nullifies your responsibility. Spoiler: it doesn’t.
Your conduct throughout this ordeal has been completely unacceptable:
* You redirected my DNS records without any warnings about the vulnerabilities it introduced.
* When I raised the alarm about hijacked and explicit content appearing on my domain, you flatly denied it instead of investigating.
* You offered no technical support or concrete solutions to help me secure or clean up the damage.
* You refunded me not out of good will, but to distance yourself from further liability.
And now, when I’m still fighting to get explicit hacked content removed from Google, you respond with this smug, dismissive statement — pretending as though none of this was your doing.
I have never experienced such appalling disregard from a service provider.
If this is how you treat customers after your actions directly contribute to a brand-damaging security nightmare, then others deserve to know exactly what they’re signing up for. A refund doesn’t erase what happened, nor does it cover the hours/days I’ve spent trying to claw my business back from the mess you helped cause.
You’ve made it abundantly clear you have no intention of taking responsibility — but that won’t erase the damage, nor the record of how wilfully you turned your back on it.

Hostek support is Top Notch!
The great support team at Hostek is always there when there is a issue, regardless of time of day or night. A recent SSL issue we had was resolved in the middle of the night by Vlad and sites were back working by morning. Thank you Vlad!

We have been with this company for many years and rarely have any issues. Last night we had some issues with renewing SSL certificate and we opened a support ticket and within minutes recieved a response from tech who had to bump it up to be looked at by advanced suppport staff.
Within two hours I got a message from Vladimir who fixed the issue. All along I was kept informed and Vlad answered my follow up questions.
Support team at Hostek is top notch and as we know that sometimes problem seems easy fix but its not always like that. We need to have patience while they are working on resolving the issue.
