I was having trouble logging in using the two factor authentication and one very quick call to the help center provided exactly what I needed. Stef was patient and kind in his handling of my lack of understanding and got me on the way very quickly!

BEWARE: Hostek Does Not Care
I deleted my bad reviews of other hosts because, compared to Hostek, those other companies were top shelf. I'd been with Hostek over 10 years. They used to be the standard of excellence for web hosts. Now, I can't think of a worse company with whom I've ever done business, in any industry. Some highlights:
* Corruption including malware on all my sites
* Frequent site outages
* Consistently waiting days for any response to support requests
* Receiving surveys to rate support techs before they've given any support
* No explanations given, nor responsibility taken for any downtime or other issues
* Auto-renewal processed weeks ahead of expiration date without warning
* Products held hostage to force me into 3rd-party user agreements
All the recent positive reviews I've seen sound like laypeople unwittingly praising them for finally configuring their servers properly. Negative reviews are mostly from long-time customers like me who got hung out to dry & rather than take any responsibility whatsoever, Hostek staff sarcastically dismisses them in their replies. My advice: Go ANYWHERE else! You really couldn't do much worse.

Do not trust this company for reliability
What a horrible company in terms of reliability and service. Can't fix a simple issue of disconnect between a webserver and database server for 5 days and still not fixed. No communication with customers for many many days when they crate support tickets Do not waster your money with this company. They are not reliable at all.
I have been customer for them for 12-15 years and still get this treatment. You decide what they will do to a new customer.

Do not trust this company
Do not trust this company - if your server is hacked they will not do anything. They ignore messages and tickets, Even if the hack is server side - they offer no help. They don't pick up the phone. Terrible service overall.

If you are on a shared server, and we confirm the server is not hacked, cleaning of the site in any situation does fall onto the user.
