Voucher HELL!!
Really poor website to navigate, tried on 3 separate occasions to buy vouchers for a friend, had to input my friends email for recipient and at checkout it said delivery address and listed my home address! Had to ring the store to get it sorted. Nearly bought vouchers for Waitrose!

Hi Steven. Sorry to hear that you struggled ordering gift vouchers on our website. The delivery address can be confusing, but the payment terminal we use require a billing and delivery address, despite no phsyical stock being sent out - customers usually just put their own address here to bypass the terminal. Happy to hear that the shop was able to help with Cellar Door vouchers.

House of Townend offer a great range of wines from the everyday (but very drinkable) to the very fine. Their delivery is prompt and timely and the prices very competitive. Great customer experience.

Beware the delivery company this firm…
Beware the delivery company this firm uses. The first time I only had half my order delivered, and it took a week for the replacement to arrive. On another occasion my order was delivered to the wrong house some streets away. Luckily by detective work the householder managed to find me and I went round to collect it. When I told House of Townend, they were pretty casual - no recompense offered. Lucky it wasn't stolen, being left on a random person's doorstep. Then a week later I got an email saying my order was about to be delivered!

We use a third party carrier company for our national deliveries and whilst they are very reliable most of the time, it is unfortunate that things do occasionally go wrong and we are very sorry that your recent order is one of them. We hope that you experienced how reliable they can be on the 20 other orders that you have previously placed with us. We accept that our carrier company is an extenuation of our business and I can see that we have launched an internal investigation with APC to see why your wine was delivered to the wrong address. Great range, good descriptions & prompt delivery
After returning from a holiday in the Valpolicello region, the range available at The House of Townend is excellent and the delivery was excellent - packaging & within a couple of days. Will use again

Delivered on time and personal touch…
Delivered on time and confirmation phone call made by them to confirm the specific needs of my order, so a personal touch which also inspired confidence. White wines, both excellent. Chateauneuf du Pape was a gift to cellar, so I cannot comment on quality but sure it will be good in 10 years!
