I had a great experience with this Housitmatch site. I found three sits and successfully completed all of them. After I had applied for the particular sits the owners of pets contacted me and there were no problems. I have met such nice people and spent great time taking care of their pets and exploring the area. I felt safe after I had read the reviews of the owners of the pets It was good knowing that in case of trouble I would contact Lamia. The site was very transparent and I could read the reviews and see the stars. People could also see my all 5 stars 3 reviews. I think this builds mutual trust. This site seems more reliable than others.

Been with HouseSit Match for some years. A family run business with a personal touch. Lamia is very approachable and works with pet owners and sitters to see what works for them.

So pleased to have found a house sit site with the human touch. Bots, as employed by some companies, are quick to respond, but they cannot answer any unexpected, non standard questions or give advice, so pretty hopeless when it comes to helping you with your most precious things - your animals and your home.
I wanted to highlight the fact we were interested in doing a longer house sit in the Wirral - the bot on the other site did not understand, and just gave a stock answer , asking for a one- word summary of my question!
Lamia, on the other hand is lovely, human and really cares about finding a good match for sitters and home/ pet owners. Im confudent she will help us with our search. The safety features are also very reassuring. Overall, we are very happy.

I can highly recommend Housesitmatch.com as a very trustworthy house sitter sight , I have had some lovely people come and stay at my house and look after my cats from as far away as Canada, they are always police checked. I also have been away and done some pet sitting, it’s great fun 🤩 and Lamia is always on hand to help (even at weekends)

Firstly, this is a genuine house sit matching service. I have done one house sit via House Sit Match, so can confirm that this is real, if anyone is doubting (as I was). Secondly, it is much cheaper than the competitors. Other people like the personal touch as a real person (Lamia) does indeed respond to emails swiftly and professionally. The only thing for me, having been using a competitor service for several years, is the different way profiles are written, sits are confirmed, scores are calculated, and the rules around the sits, etc. I find the differences constantly surprising. Also, being a smaller platform than the competitor, there are fewer sits available, so it works out fine to be on both sites, if you are a keen and regular pet sitter!

I have found Housesit match easy to use and a well thought out service. The owner Lamia has always been super quick to respond and incredibly kind, I have done some really good housesits on this website that have helped me trial living in different areas and save on money for accommodation, I think it's a great idea for a service done really well, I highly recommend.

I think this might be a scam. I had signed up to them a few months ago and was receiving regular emails, then that stopped. When I tried to log into the site I was told my email address or password didn't match their records. When I tried to change my password it wouldn't let me. I have tried emailing them and contacting them via Instagram with no response. Money taken with nothing to show for it.

We joined HouseSitMatch last year and were able to go away for all of August knowing that our house and garden were taken care of. We will certainly be rejoining this year.

Hello, just writing to say that HouseSitMatch over the last couple of years has saved me thousands in between rentals while I finished my Masters. Feel lucky to have enjoyed several fantastic housesits in and around London, meeting wonderful people and pets in the process. Would recommend. In the meantime, is there any way your web developer could please just fix those broken links? It would help to be able to view people's profiles at least, even if everything is not perfect. Should be pretty straightforward to do that - I could do that!! :)

Hi! I have just signed up to the site, paid for my membership, and so far I have to say that the site is not user friendly. I click to look at someone's profile, and I am taken right back to my own profile. I click to search for other sitters to see what I'm competing with - it takes me back to the sign up page, even though I've already signed up and am logged in at the time!!! I'm generously giving 3/5 because I want to give it a chance and it's too early to judge everything else. But based just on the website itself I would only give 1/5. It's really poor, and someone commented on this in another review all the way back in 2019!!! Reply from HouseSitMatch says you're on it and improving the site. 6 years later!!!!???? Please! It is time to deliver that promise! I can't make head nor tail (excuse pun) of anything on this site and I can barely navigate it!
ALSO.... on your info pages it says about wonderful opportunities in Beijing, China and other places, where are they?? I've run a search and there's literally nothing in China or most other countries.
Question - am I on a trial with cooling off period and can I get a refund if I don't get enough of the opportunities I want on this site please ?

This Housesit was a pleasure…a warm,comfortable home, bikes to borrow in garage, peaceful locality set in quiet lanes ,10 min walk to coastal walkway , 30 min walk to town …a short car drive to New Forest.
My patrons were thoughtful, kind and welcoming , responding quickly to queries whilst they were away. Little dog Millie well trained and a joy to care for ..

I joined HousesitMatch earlier this year having become very disillusioned with another much larger house/pet sitting company. From the very outset, I have been impressed by the help, advice and personal contact that HSM have offered. Any questions I had were answered very promptly and I have felt that their intention is to offer the very best service possible.They have certainly done so!
It is reassuring to know that all sitters are checked as our pets are most precious and this gives great peace of mind. The person who came to look after my 2 lovely Irish rescue ex racing greyhounds was wonderful and I was able to go on holiday reassured that they were in good hands.

We have been using HouseSit Match for a few years now as we have a dog and a cat, so the alternatives are somewhat complicated. It is great to know that your house and pets are in good hands and HouseSit Match gives you that assurance.

I was recently quoted £85 a night for someone to come and house sit for us privately and was shocked at the potential cost ..... at £595 a week that is quite a significant additional cost to your holiday and makes the annual membership of HouseSit Match (£89 a year) look like a total bargain!

The house-sitters are all vetted and reviewed and you get to choose who you think would be best suited for your house-sit. We will be using them again for our next trip.

Housesitmatch has always worked well for us. We have just had a very successful housesitter in our home for a week. She looked after our pets well and left the house in perfect condition. We always feel safe to trust our home to the people who are checked by the Housesitmatch team

We did our first housesit in Cornwall, and it was absolutely amazing. The process to arrange the housesit was very easy and we did not have any problems. We had a lovely time taking care of the vegetable garden and the dog of the house.
