ABSOLUTE SCAM.
Do not use HowNovel. I ordered a gift card which supposedly had a 2-3 business day delivery. After 2 weeks I tried emailing HowNovel and got nothing for over 2 more weeks till I started commenting on their social media. They claimed it was sorted and they'd send me the gift voucher and an extra gift to say sorry and guess what... almost 2 weeks later aaaaaand... NOTHING!

Into my fourth month with How Novel and I love the way of picking the books each month. I wanted to step out of my comfort zone and read different genres and How Novel have certainly helped do this. Now to finish last months books before this months arrives!

I love my books from the How Novel. It's nice to see what mystery book you recieve. And I absolutely love the pictures on the packaging
Which I may say is beautifully wrapped and presented in a amazing quality. BTW it's all hand wrapped. So I appreciate the amount of hard work the staff do in creating our packages.

Received a 'How Novel' subscription from my Son as a birthday present. Absolutely love it! The whole experience; from choosing your 'mystery' novel to receiving the little box containing hand-written notes and your wrapped and disguised book is a joy. Regular texts updating you on when to choose your next one and a great website with teasers of what lies within each offering. How Novel manages to nail 'not judging a book by its cover' and makes it fun at the same time. The selected books are brilliant - real page turners. If you're stuck for a 'novel' gift, this is most certainly the best you'll buy.

I have enjoyed a gift subscription here and wanted to buy one for a friend's 60th birthday. I placed the order on 26th July for 12mths subscription. I gave my friend's e mail address as requested. Until now she had heard nothing. I have sent various e mails and been told by Jessica that the subscription has been activated. Then I was told the activation code had been sent to my account to forward to my friend. It hasn't. I last told Jessica this 2 days ago asking her to contact my friend directly so she can start choosing her book. No response as yet. Really not good enough. What is going on please??

I've been using this mystery book subscription for about half a year now. Every month I get to choose from a selection of mystery titles, all described with 4 words. So gar, I've never been disappointed. Generally, it's books I would've probably not picked up in store ( where yes, they are cheaper most of the time ) but I love the surprise I get and the lovely little letter from my *pen pal* every month (I'm yet to reply too, my bad ) All in all, I absolutely love How Novel, down to the presentation when it arrives.

A good selection to choose from. Its nice not quite knowing what you are getting but you have a general idea. It is nice to be able to choose a genre outside of your usual reads.

It's a brilliant idea and works great. The suspense of not knowing which book will come and the excitement when receiving the package are worth it!

At under £10 this is a really affordable book box treat and for an extra £4.99 you can choose whether to add on an extra book that captivates you. It arrives beautifully packaged and is so reliable. Would make a fantastic gift.

Amazing community and lovely customer service, sadly the mystery aspect of it wasn't for me, however this is a great place for anyone who loves a surprise!
