HpPrinters are awful
I bought this hp deskjet printer in 2024, it was difficult to set up, the ink is expensive but I managed just about to print with it. However since the WiFi anddress ihas changed it has become the most frustrating piece of kit I have ever had the misfortune to pay for. It is impossible just to add it to my WiFi it just refuse to accept the ip addrsss let alone print with it.
A Scam For Our Age
HP’s ENVY Series of printers will make you envy those who didn’t buy one. Ignore the upfront cost of the printer itself, for it is the ink that will cost you, and it will cost you dear. It must be the most expensive liquid substance on earth. A scam for our age.
Cartridge Subscription Scam
I bought a hp Deskjet 2801e back in June this year from Currys. The printer came with a three month free cartridge Subscription, payable monthly thereafter on usage.I've hardly used the printer,so have subscription cartridges not used.Suddenly the printer malfunctions with an e0 error & the flashing light flickers on the colour cartridge.I replace it with a new subscription cartridge unused, doesn't solve the problem.I but a genuine standard hp tri-colour 305 ink cartridge, still doesn't solve the problem.Over two days, last Thursday & Friday I contacted hp via watts app, spent 7 hours going over repeated questions, just stone walling me.I gave up.Today I've switched on the printer & removed the subscription black cartridge and hey presto, the colour cartridge now works. So now I've got to buy a hp 305 black cartridge.HP informed me that if I use compatible ink cartridges, the printer will stop working.Never again will I buy anything from hp.
Waste of time
Hp have successfully turned a standard simple home device into to something you need a degree in IT to use. Multiple account log ins, subscriptions. Even when you buy their extortionate ink you can’t get it to print. I want to throw it of the Empire State building
Dreadful
Dreadful! so complicated to get WPS number. Still can't connect. Wasting so much paper printing. Why do HP make it so difficult to get this number. Worst printers EVER!" do not buy.
Terrible printer software and worse…
Terrible printer software and worse connectivity. customer service is horrific.
HP printers are absolute rubbish
HP printers are absolute rubbish. Bought printer in April 2025, it worked then and now I cannot get it to print at all. There is always an issue, HP cannot print word doc, HP is in error state, HP print jobs in queue. I spent hours over the past 2 days trying to fix this with no resolve at all. At least HP print doctor would fix this but now that is not recommended to use.
I truly want my money back because it feels like a scam to sell such a problematic product in 2025.
Wish I could put 0 stars
Wish I could put 0 stars, literally a legal scam any way you look at it.
I hate my HP PRINTER AND THE COMPANY AS…
I hate my HP PRINTER AND THE COMPANY AS A WHOLE! I dont understand, I bought this printer and was forced to sign up for their ink program. I'd rather be giving the opportunity to purchase ink when its low and not pay a monthly subscription. But here's the kicker... Now its telling me that i cant print any more pages for the month! My printer is paid for and I should be able to print any time I want to Print!
They have a scam with the ink/cartridge…
They have a scam with the ink/cartridge subscription. Do Not Sign Up for it! The company has designed this scam to charge users for ink that they dont use.
I had paid into the subscription for many years (yes, my bad to forget I am getting charged every month). My internet use is very low. So I had paid them x10s of times more to them for the ink I was using.
I finally cancelled my subscription and the printer immediately stopped working because the cartridge in it , which is still full of ink, is the ones they had sent me a while back as part of the subscription!
I bought a hp printer about a year ago…
I bought a hp printer about a year ago and had nothing but trouble constantly. Disconnecting, all the time . Now it’s printing so slow it’s unusable. It’s in the bin and gone over to epson. Avoid hp at all costs
DONT BUY
Terrible printer. Constant connection problems.
I’ve had the HP Colour Laser 150nw for a year, and it has been a nonstop battle from day one. It never stays connected — whether it’s my phone, my computer, or Wi-Fi. Every time I need to print a single page, it turns into an all-day nightmare.
I even bought a cable to connect it directly to my computer, hoping I’d never see the “disconnected” message again… and unbelievably, it STILL doesn’t work.
I honestly hate this printer. It’s unreliable, frustrating, and absolutely not worth the stress. DON’T BUY.
HP Envy 6000E nightmare
HP Envy 6000E. This printer is a piece of garbage, absolute junk. Im a light user. Other half wanted a simple sign printed, came to me with a completed badly printed document, clearly machine running out of ink. So I had a set of Instant Ink cartidges and I replaced the cartridges. With some well founded trepidation. Would the machine then work? Course not, error message, notifications cartridges not compatible.. theyre HP cartridges , message door open when lid closed, paper jams, no paper message when tray full, carriage not bringing cartridges to centre, I had the cartidges out when I could by, resetting the printer and I got to print a test page, false hopes....and then it refused agsin to play ball. I've had a direct debit taking money from my account every month. I've only ever had one set of cartidges from HP in 2 years. I've lost countless hours trying to sort this printing issue to print just one page. The thing has never been reliable. I dont know what its issue is. It's a piece of junk. I had an old Epsom stylus years ago, a simple machine, I wore it out. This one is a nightmare. The customer service is terrible and they employ people in call centres with thick accents you cant understand. These printers are truly awful and HP will milk you dry. If you you don't enter into their instant Ink contracts they will charge you a fortune for retail Ink cartidges that don't work, you have paper jams and all sorts of issues, so youre stuffed every way. Stay away from HP..unless it's the sauce!!!
Junk
Im about to take my fairly new HP printer and throw it in the trash. I bought comparable, but not HP ink, and it doesn’t work.
It will be cheaper to buy a new printer than spend even more money on this POS.
I’ve always had HP, but I am done!
i am blown away but how incredibly…
i am blown away but how incredibly useless HP home printers are, every single time it's a titanic battle to print a document... i have an HP 2720 printer, might as well use it as ballast in a hot air balloon
Would actually give it a zero.
Would actually give it a zero.
I wish I read this before buying
How on earth they are getting away with selling this pile of junk is honestly beyond me!
Constant wireless issues
Not scanning and printing
Ink issues every time you need to change the cartridge (which lasts about 15 pages max) colour issues
Poor printing.
Im not even giving it away on a local free site its that bad !!!
DO NOT GET AN INK SERVICE!
I bought an HP printer and decided to use their ink service and it’s rubbish. I keep my printer off most of the time and have it on only when I use it. This system to work wants you to keep the printer on all the time which is very stupid and unnecessary. Plus they decide you have received the ink when it’s not true. Plus once I changed the ink and the printer kept saying low ink even with a new cartridge. It’s a nightmare and I want out of this incredibly useless system. I’ll go back to buying cartridges and I want to keep my printer OFF if not used for printing. Don’t buy. Not worth it.
scammer printers advertised as opportunity
garbage! all marketing util they take your money and waste your time, then just take the printers and drop in the garbage because this guy control everything on remote... how much they want you to spend on inc etc.
After 1 year doesn't want to validate…
After 1 year doesn't want to validate the ink. I have to spend hours chatting with hp support, uninstall and install a few times and maybe after all this time will work. I am giving up and get something without WiFi.
HP printers are very expensive to run
I used to think my printer was affordable to run up until HP introduced new firmware up-dates. Now my HP Office jet pro 7720 printer is very expensive to run. The firmware rejects all non-HP ink cartridges because they don't contain a HP chip. You have no option but to buy official HP inks/toners. A four pack of inks generally cost from £90 upwards. A rip off considering you can pick up a brand new epson laser jet printer from just £50 and Epson printer inks/toners are so much cheaper to buy. HP firmware causes massive problems that often involve updates that cause printers to stop working and constatly display errors. For the price of HP the print quality is poor. I have wasted lots of paper and ink to align the printer heads too often. The wifi connection with this printer is also a nightmare. I lose count everytime I switch it on as to how many time I try to connect. It is extreamly frustrating! In my opinion DO NOT BUY A HP PRINTER AND THROW THE ONE YOU HAVE AWAY!!!
