I had a very positive experience with the staff at HS Legal Solicitors. They were efficient and professional in their work. They listened carefully to our queries and responded promptly. They took the time to explain everything clearly in a way that we could easily understand.

We recently purchased our first home through an auction, and the solicitors provided exceptional support throughout the entire process. Initially, we were very concerned about the limited time given to complete the purchase, but they managed to finalize everything within just two weeks. Their communication was outstanding—they kept us informed at every stage, which gave us peace of mind during what could have been a stressful experience. I am extremely happy with the service they provided and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable and efficient solicitors.

They handled both the sale of my property and the purchase of a new one under extremely tight deadlines and with significant complexity, including a developer part-exchange, pending title registration, management company compliance, and a time-critical chain.

Throughout the process, Jawad and his team were professional, calm, responsive, and meticulous. They never took shortcuts, always prioritised my legal protection, and explained each step clearly even when there was commercial pressure to proceed faster. Their persistence with third parties and ability to coordinate a same-day exchange for both and following day completion was exceptional.

I have dealt with many solicitors in the past, including others involved in this transaction, and I can confidently say HS Legal are second to none. Their work ethic, communication, and attention to detail made all the difference.

I have just successfully completed on the sale of my flat. I have been extremely impressed with the service I have received from HS Legal Solicitors. Jawad was my solicitor and has been brilliant! Communication has been excellent and the price was extremely good.

They provided the cheapest quote for an auction process purchase for a flat via a limited company.
However, after a few weeks, it became apparent that the individuals in charge had no experience or clue of dealing with auction processes. They tried to justify this by claiming that the process was 'complicated', but it was not. They simply did not know what they were doing.
Amongst other things:

- Missed fundamental information in the reports, e.g., did not pick up on, nor provide commentary on the Special Conditions of Sale -something that is standard in auction processes
- Did not acknowledge their mistakes
- When such mistakes cost up money, we ended up having to 'negotiate' for them to cover some of the additional costs - which they only reluctantly agreed to, without accepting responsibility for the errors.
- Documentation that should have been forwarded on, was not forwarded in a timely manner
- Did not provide accurate completion statements that had been provided by the seller's solicitors, despite having received an updated completion statement prior to completion
- Did not care to inform us that we had overpaid the amount due at completion, albeit by a paltry £30. Whether knowingly, or unintentionally, this simply should never happen with solicitors - they should hold themselves to a higher bar of integrity.
- Had to be chased repeatedly and on multiple occasions
- Whilst acknowledged 'deficiencies' and 'errors' had been made, at no point offered a sincere apology, nor compensation.
- Final completion statement prices differed from initial quotation and this had to be pointed out to them.
- Overall, too much stress, too much time taken checking everything they were sending across.
- Complete lack of trust in them.

It was great to work with his legal they responded all the time and tried to help me out of trouble during this tough property purchase

Disappointing Experience with HS Legal Solicitors
Instructing HS Legal Solicitors was, unfortunately, a poor decision during the sale of my property.

I used an online conveyancing comparison website — conveyancingindex — and HS Legal was one of the firms included in the quotes provided. I went with them based on the Trustpilot reviews and it was a big mistake.

While the solicitor from HS Legal Solicitors ultimately completed the work, I would not choose this firm again for several reasons:
1. Although I was assigned a dedicated case handler, this proved to be ineffective as they appeared to have little involvement in the process.
2. It was difficult to contact the firm by phone and not once did I speak with the solicitor. They will not even give you a call if there’s some urgency. In case of any urgent matter, please forget any help over the phone and putting your mind to ease.
3. I often wondered if my emails were being properly read, as I had to address the buyer’s solicitor’s queries multiple times myself. The firm lacked proactivity throughout the process.
4. Responses to my queries sent in the morning would often arrive around 4:30–5:00 p.m., leaving no opportunity to reply before their office closed.
5. The solicitor forgot to include the agreed White goods amount and had to be reminded to add it.
6. An incorrect service charge figure was initially included under apportionment, which we had to identify and have it corrected ourselves.
7. When the 90% was paid, the solicitor seemed unaware that they were responsible for obtaining the remaining 10% from the estate agent and instead advised us to contact the estate agent for the remaining amount.
8. There was also a delay in receiving this amount due to lack of ownership from the firm.
9. The final invoice differed from the original quote provided by Conveyancing Index, with no prior notice or explanation for the change but after an email it was amended.
10. I am surprised that conveyancingindex and other online conveyancing comparison website are using this company to provide a quote.
Overall, it was a disappointing experience. You’d expect a solicitor to be proactive, responsive, and to act in your best interests — unfortunately, HS Legal Solicitors did not meet those expectations.

HS - Legal did my conveyancing matter for both of my sales and purchases. They did excellent job by completing my case successfully with great care. Unfortunately, I had very difficult buyer who dragged things on, luckily thanks to HS Legal all went well in the end. The communications were on time, keeping everyone informed at all times and they also were very knowledgeable and professional. I also appreciate they did everything to keep the costs down for me, which is huge bonus.
