The worst bank ever
The worst bank ever! Do never open an account there. They are so bad for the loans and no one will be here to help you, either on the phone or to the branch. Employees are so rude and not helping for any matters. I had to drive 3 times in downtown to the branch because everyone is so lazy to help me.
closing my account as soon as possible!
Absolute bleach of personal information…
Absolute bleach of personal information with the personal interest of a conseiller. My landlord happened to be working HSBC in a different branch, and I just figured out that he was following my account information ( including when I spent for what) so that if I pay the rent on time or not etc …
I see absolutely a bleach of personal information protection law and I do not hesitate to bring it to the higher authority about this issue.
If I could rate it zero, I would do it without any hesitation.
It’s really sad to see how this bank says « international » with such a poor service, such a low standard that even doesn’t distinguish the abuse of authority by confusing personal interest.
I visited HSBC Bishopsgate
I visited HSBC Bishopsgate, dealt with an employee named Dior with tattoos, and deposited money and a check. Days later, no funds arrived, and when I returned, Dior denied he has ever a served me. He claimed I was wrong, but after leaving, he called, and my money appeared. Despite my frustration, HSBC's response was unhelpful. Dior's behavior was rude, and now I'm heading to London Bridge branch, avoiding Bishopsgate. Somtimes when I have bad experience, and I just can’t let go. I told the branch in London Bridge and made a telephone complaint before but I feel I need to leave a review for others too.
HSBC invests in companies that sell…
HSBC invests in companies that sell weapons and military equipment to Israel that are used to oppress Palestinians
Your money here are not yours
Your money here are not yours.
I was buying a car on 19th of October from a dealer and the bank blocked my transfer.
After 3 weeks the money are still blocked.
I have talked with the bank every days for 16 days without ever recieving an answer.
They never answer to the emails (only answer is we are working on it) and the call center does not know how to manage the situation.
I made a first small payment cash to the dealer but he cannot recieve the whole money because of hsbc. This situation is crazy.
I will close the account soon.
I lost too much time and money with them.
Avoid this bank!!!
HSBC France is slowly ruining my life.
HSBC France is slowly ruining my life.
I have lived in France for almost a year now, and am yet to receive:
Access to any form of online banking
A cheque book
The ability to process online payments
The use of my cards in Apple Pay
Meaningful communication from HSBC
I have been unable to wire money out of my account, check its balance, or do anything aside from make simple purchase in-person. I am losing money, transferring my savings from the United States to subsidize my life, despite having funds in my HSBC account to support it. I hate this bank and cannot state enough how much pain they have caused me. Remorseless, cruel people
I have been trying to open an account…
I have been trying to open an account for one month...
It it still still not open. The French subsidiary is the worst compared to other international subsidiaries.
HSBC an hour on phone to do a 10 minute call- USELESS!!
I spent just under one hour today on the phone to try and effective simple Online Banking change of signatory and also some clown asked me that I should get up security number that took another 40 minutes you couldn't make this stuff up staff seem inept and completely and utterly death as well as useless I can't put it any other way?
They did not specify the required outcome in this general response mail out???
Which is - I asked for £50:00 compensation for an hour of my time wasted by your company today.
The staff seem incredibly untrained and inept - for example if they knew at the beginning
that I was phoning on a mobile phone
And that I could only get a security number for Online Banking through a landline? Why didn't they say that?
It is the biggest load of crap I've ever heard? Are you trying to tell me (and I bet you most people that call your company and any other company are using mobile phones these days). That people dont call from mobiles? Also the idea of having to send mail to you is absurd? I like to run my life paperless now and do things online - as most reputable companies do.
I was on the phone today for 59:36 minutes. Just to try and get some information on
Online Banking and changing the signatures on our account? Then some bright spark asked me to get a security number and that took 40 minutes further on the phone and three times that it was asked to be done it didn't work? An utterly junk system!
The person I spoke to there was a Mr Ade Oluwabiyi - didn't tell me what capacity he worked and I guess he's a phone operative. He kept asking me the same questions all the time like he couldn't hear me.
The phone line was actually quite bad when I spoke to him and the first operative.
There was loads of time when they went off to try and get some information. I lots of hanging on the phone each time for at least five or more minutes on hold.
Considering MSBC is one of the big companies in the world? I'm surprised at how inept how amateurish and how ill trained your staff is.
If I can today I'm going to find the email of the managing director for the UK and I'm going to email him directly also... Please no anybody using these companies should always claim compensation for time wasted... I believe that it's the only way to get these people to wake up/ I don't think they give a damn otherwise!
Please note there is no information in this email at all about my complaint being satisfied by the compensation agreed by Mr Oluwabiyi. If your staff are trained this badly - God only knows what your executives are like?
That was one whole hour of my life wasted for an utterly simple matter. One hour I will never get back again!!
If I could give this a minus I would,
If I could give this a minus I would,
Today I tried to make a payment to Ford Motor company, I had credit balance to make this payment, it was rejected. After talking at length to one of your advisors, I followed their instructions but continued to have my card declined nine times after being advised to continue but to no avail.
I spent more than 3 Hours on call to Service Department and I made an official complaint no response, my call was put through to Customer Care they just hung up. Totally waisted and frustrating day, I asked for call back and was told they do not.
My card no ends 1987 if they can be bothered to call
Worst customer service ever.
Worst app I have come across.
Worst app I have come across.
Upgraded phone. Tried to log-in to app. Activation code is never sent, so can't do it that way. Tried to generate a QR code but can't without the app. Tried to log-in online, but need to generate a security code in the app. Are they serious! Can't log-in without the app, can't get the app without the app.
Can't call them, the online chat is always busy, but I can contact them through the app!
Pointless, and frustrating.
Actual living hell of a process
Actual living hell of a process. May 2022 I attempted to open a bank account and was guaranteed it would be a quick process. I emailed my agent for months on end for the code to open my bank account but never received it. Eventually my agent completely stopped responding to me, the last email being sent in March 2023 to close my account as they were charging me 4 euros a month for an account I couldn't even access. When I asked to close my account, my agent finally responded and diverted to me a random other agent who he claimed was mine from the beginning. Then, she proceeded to direct me to a general hotline. Do NOT open an account with these people, they will waste your time and money. Wish I could give 0 stars.
Best customer service ever!
Congratulations on having such responsible and service oriented employees. Fabiola was determined to help us find our replaced credit cards. We had been dealing with the problem for three weeks. A few days later with the help of Fabiola and Anise( who was on sick leave) solved our problem. We had cards and codes in hand quickly. Thank you.
RecenWorst Bank Ever HSBC…
Recently moved to france and HSBC Montpellier branch have the very worst customer service I have ever seen. As a Premier client which means absolutely nothing we are supposed to have a fee free account! They are still charging 28 euros per annum
I emailed my assigned ' relationship manager ' to stop a car insurance direct debit mandate and she has still not replied or acknowledged the email. I phoned her today and was informed she will return my call this afternoon. NO RETURN CALL. Her name is Elisabeth Liance-Barihle and my advice is to stay well clear of this person. She is co director of the Montpellier branch of HSBC. She sold us a JUNK ASSURANCE VIE POLICY for half a million euro that is so bad all we do is lose money. Morningstar rate HSBC as " high risk ' and ' below average returns '. As mentioned all we see is profound losses. She refuses or fails to respond to my emails which leaves me no choice but to report her and HSBC to the banking Adidicator in Paris. Huge Fees No Service Bank.
Stay Away.
Really pathetic service from HSBC…
Really pathetic service from HSBC France.
I ordered a new bank card and they tell me it will take 3 weeks to arrive.
Does it take 3 weeks to get a bank card when I have had an account with them for over a year already!?
Never make Insurance !
I had the worst experience with their assurance services.
First, my bikes are stolen from my appartment, then i applied to HSBC assurances but it wasnt possible to reach anyone by phone or mail.
Then i received a letter from them saying they will not renew my contract for the next year.
And thats not all, i moved to another appartment and did the assurance from another company. I sent mail to HSBC to cancel my contract. After several months i saw they are still getting money from my account. This is basically stealing
They are the worst banking institution…
They are the worst banking institution ever. Lost €5000 in a transaction and blamed Barclays and myself. They could not care less. The Toulouse agency is the worst. They have taken more than 2 months to replace my bank card. They are rubbish and do not care, accept no responsibility and blame the customer. NEVER USE THIS BANK.
I wish i could rate it below one star
I wish i could rate it below one star. I am a Swedish citizen living in France and applied for a bank account. After having a appointment, wasting a day with all the needed bureaucratic papers they told me to apply online. I did it and they refused without offering me a simple explanation. They lost 2 customers. My gf as well was thinking to change her french bank but not any more after this charade.
I am so so so disappointed with this…
I am so so so disappointed with this bank.
I'm french and opened my account while living in Ireland.
Then I moved back to France in 2019, came across a decent advisor, signed a lot of papers and offers, realised after a couple of year that they were sucking money out of me from different services and options I didn't need at all.
I have a substantial income and never really bother looking in the details since I live a simple average life including expenses.
When I did realise how I was being screwed, I opened an account with another bank and HSBC is making it a living hell for me to move away,
I have all my children accounts and savings with them too (5 kids all together)
I do not recommend at all.
Disgusting!
They put limit on how much money you can spend monthly and won't let you use YOUR OWN MONEY. If you have to purchase something that will use the limit(like electronics, home improvements etc.), well good luck paying the bills and eating for the rest of the month until the limit resets. The customer service is terrible. Trying to remove the limit won't work as they don't answer. Talking from my own experience. Having an account with HSBC France is like living from pay check to pay check but with lots of money in your account. Disgusting!
The worst bank I had to deal with
The worst bank I had to deal with. Aside from terrible and outdated service policies, They can terminate your account anytime without revealing the reason. They just terminated the account Risky!!..awful services, nor safe not secure!!!. I know most banks have a reputation for fraud but I can affirm this one is the best one of a kind.
HSBC has a global network; If they terminate the customer s account in one country then another Hsbc country can also terminate the account without any reason suddenly..Hsbc France doesnt serve well.Their services are really bad..In France, there are so many better banks that French fellows and others can opt to use..Stay away from this bank!!..Risky services and awful customer polices!!!!
They give so much troubles to the customers with their service manner and policies..It is inconvenient and inefficient bank!!!Dont co-operate!!!! STAY AWAY
