We received a very good greeting with a nice cup of our preferred beverage. Rachel was very knowledgeable and showed us the right products after taking the time to find out our needs. Well trained staff, that fulfilled our needs.

I am a disabled person,the door was held open for me to enter.I was then asked if I would like a hot drink.The lady was called Linda,she showed me several different items and quoted a great price.I was then given all the things that would happen after taking a deposit. Great service at Exeter Store..

Linda & the team ( Kelly & Rachel ) couldn’t have been more helpful, I tried various sofas before making my choice. All the while chatting to Linda in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, I enjoyed the friendly exchange with Linda, she was able to answer my queries and concerns over coffee & biscuits which was a nice touch.All in all I was impressed with the service and happy with my purchase.
I think other companies could take a leaf from the the HSL handbook,customers need to talk to people seeking advise over their purchase.
I would recommend HSL to get interested in buying handmade sofas & chairs.

On arrival at the Exeter store, not sure what type of chair we needed, we were made very welcome by Kelly .She listened to what we thought we required and then showed us a range of options. Clearly very knowledgeable of the chairs we gradually arrived at two options. After trying different sizes we arrived at a solution. Nothing was too much trouble and after a break to consider colours we returned next day to finalise the purchase. The advice and patience was much appreciated. Two happy customers.

Excellent service from start to finish. Kelly in the Exeter shop was lovely cheerful and helpful and made sure got what I wanted. The chair was delivered with great care today, well within timeframe quoted. The men even took my old chair out to my garage for me

We experienced excellent customer service from Linda and Kelly at the Exeter store .
They recommended a chair for my requirements and let me sit in it for a considerable length of time to ensure it was the right one for me.
They even made my husband and I a hot chocolate and gave us chocolate biscuits, we could have stayed there all day !
We decided on the chair but I liked 2 fabrics I eventually made my mind up and ordered.
I was advised to take 2 fabric swatches home to match with my sofa I was glad I did as I realised straight away I had ordered the wrong fabric.
I contacted the store straight away and my order was changed.
I would definitely recommend this store to anyone and the staff are a credit to the company.

Kelly was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and helpful . There was no pressure to buy - the only downside was that the pricing in the brochure was confusing.
We are looking forward to the delivery of our chairs .

Kelly was warmly welcoming and helpful. She told us about the Stressless chairs we were interested in, demonstrating various aspects, describing the full range of options and fully answering our questions. There was no pressure to buy - Kelly left us to discuss what suited us best. Once we had made our decision, Kelly efficiently created the order, explaining the payment process and the delivery timescale. She was at pains to stress that we should contact her again if we had any further questions.

I visited the Exeter store and was served by Kelly. She was very helpful, polite and knowledgeable. I was not rushed and had plenty of time to review HSL's products. I liked the choice of chair which I was able to tailor to my requirements.

Kelly was very helpful and understanding. We didn’t feel under pressure and could take our time. The cup of tea was a nice touch.

We were greeted at the door by Rachel and offered refreshments.At no time were we rushed or pressurised and were able to try all the chairs and sofas. The showroom was bright,warm and the bathroom was spotless. Originally went to buy a sofa and were so impressed we also purchased a chair. Rachel was very knowledgeable about the products.

Went today with my mum to find a new sofa and chairs. Linda was great from start to finish, gave my mum the respect and treatment.
Service was fantastic. Clair the area manager was there she was brilliant. Would highly recommend

Delivery spot-on time despite having to navigate legendary narrow Topsham lanes.
Carriers were courteous and efficient.

Kelly was very helpful and helped my mum find her perfect chair and sofa. Great customer service and we were very impressed by the quality of the furniture.

Greeted with a smile service was excellent Kelly had extensive knowledge of the products and explained everything in detail there was no hurry up for a sale even a coffee and a biscuit and all the help and time to make my product selection.

The sales lady was very polite, friendly and knowledgeable. There was a blip on our chair being delivered but it was sorted and we received it two days later than advised. The delivery men were, again, polite and friendly. The delivery and installation was completed quickly. I wouldn’t fault the quality. It’s very comfortable and just what we needed. I look forward to receiving my two seater sofa. Thank you

Just been to HSL in Exeter to buy a riser recliner chair and the ladies were excellent specially Linda. They made sure I got the chair that is safe and comfortable for my size. There was no rushing and gave us drinks and biscuits with no pressure to buy. I highly recommend going to one of these stores for the best experience in buying comfortable seating.

Absolutely fabulous; a huge thank you to Rachel and Michelle for making mother and I feel so welcome. We are nearly there with delivery and so looking forward to comfort. I will update soon… but this is really to beef it up for the lovely team effort, kindness and patience of bums on and off a lot of chairs!!

Sofa safely delivered and as advertised. My only fairly minor criticisms are having to pay full price well before delivery, very confusing fabric choices which affect the price and, frankly, too much choice of styles in the showroom, but not my particular choice from the catalogue (but I am old, so other customers may not get so confused). Showroom and delivery staff were polite and helpful. Special offer bought in the end - seduced by the discount!
