We were greeted at the door by Rachel and offered refreshments.At no time were we rushed or pressurised and were able to try all the chairs and sofas. The showroom was bright,warm and the bathroom was spotless. Originally went to buy a sofa and were so impressed we also purchased a chair. Rachel was very knowledgeable about the products.

Went today with my mum to find a new sofa and chairs. Linda was great from start to finish, gave my mum the respect and treatment.
Service was fantastic. Clair the area manager was there she was brilliant. Would highly recommend

Excellent instore service at HSL Exeter.
Delivery spot-on time despite having to navigate legendary narrow Topsham lanes.
Carriers were courteous and efficient.

Kelly was very helpful and helped my mum find her perfect chair and sofa. Great customer service and we were very impressed by the quality of the furniture.

Greeted with a smile service was excellent Kelly had extensive knowledge of the products and explained everything in detail there was no hurry up for a sale even a coffee and a biscuit and all the help and time to make my product selection.

The sales lady was very polite, friendly and knowledgeable. There was a blip on our chair being delivered but it was sorted and we received it two days later than advised. The delivery men were, again, polite and friendly. The delivery and installation was completed quickly. I wouldn’t fault the quality. It’s very comfortable and just what we needed. I look forward to receiving my two seater sofa. Thank you

Just been to HSL in Exeter to buy a riser recliner chair and the ladies were excellent specially Linda. They made sure I got the chair that is safe and comfortable for my size. There was no rushing and gave us drinks and biscuits with no pressure to buy. I highly recommend going to one of these stores for the best experience in buying comfortable seating.

Absolutely fabulous; a huge thank you to Rachel and Michelle for making mother and I feel so welcome. We are nearly there with delivery and so looking forward to comfort. I will update soon… but this is really to beef it up for the lovely team effort, kindness and patience of bums on and off a lot of chairs!!

Sofa safely delivered and as advertised. My only fairly minor criticisms are having to pay full price well before delivery, very confusing fabric choices which affect the price and, frankly, too much choice of styles in the showroom, but not my particular choice from the catalogue (but I am old, so other customers may not get so confused). Showroom and delivery staff were polite and helpful. Special offer bought in the end - seduced by the discount!

Went in to your Exeter Branch yesterday with my elderly mother where we were greeted with a lovely lady called Rachel at the door. What a fantastic experience we had Rachel explained everything in full details and made sure my Mum understood what she was saying 😊. Rachel to us is a great asset to your Company. A big thank you once again Rachel for all your help. Mum is excited to receive a new chair after being very comfortable sat in the show room chair

Kelly was extremely helpful and had good knowledge of the stressless range of recliner chairs. We ended up purchasing the classic range as on a discounted price as it met our requirements and was sufficient for our needs and appropriate measurements for our lounge space. As this was a Stock item it was delivered within a week of our order. Great communication from head office once I chased them. Sam the delivery driver communication was good and he delivered our chair and foot stool with care. Great to have a delivery slot first thing to. Yes I would recommend this store. It has such a variety of furniture, sofas, chairs and beds etc to suit all ages.

Really pleased with the whole process . Very smart showroom in Exeter , with helpful , friendly staff . No pressure but useful suggestions and advice .
Order ready when they said it would be , within eight weeks , no problem when we had to delay to allow the carpet to go down , and then the delivery team , Jason and Ashley , were excellent . Plenty of notice of arrival times , and they were clean , capable and courteous .
And the furniture looks superb .
Would certainly recommend them .

The sales room staff were helpful, kind and efficient. Our delivery date was changed several times all times to accommodate hospital appointments that I had to take my husband to. Delivery arrived early, efficiently and with politeness. Excellent driving down our narrow lane. Andy and Wayne were superb, they carried the chairs down our slope, through difficult doors etc and never faltered in their fantastic service. Kind, friendly, professional and the best technicians I have ever experienced. Thank you so much both of you and all the very best. I can recommend HSL and all their staff to anyone.

I visited HSL showroom in Exeter and was welcomed by Rachel who listened well and made me feel at ease. We talked together about what I was looking for and she explained all the options and gave me lots of time to explore different sofas and different fabrics. I came away with several quotes and then followed it up with another visit. Rachel was really patient and very easy to talk to and nothing was too much trouble. As a result I'm very confident of the choice I made which I hope will last me a lifetime.

We had excellent service in the shop but decided in the 48 hour period allowed for cancellation that we would not proceed with the purchase and we went to the shop and cancelled the order and requested our deposit back. It took 4 weeks to get the money back, and we had to keep ringing and ringing before eventually the money was refunded into a different account to the one we had used as they said there had been a problem with a bank failure to do a transfer. We rang our bank who were unaware of any problem. We thought this was a very long time to wait for the return of a fairly large sum of money.

Excellent service earlier this week from Kelly on the Exeter branch. Really welcoming, friendly and helpful and took time to explain all of the options available to ensure we made the right choices. A little delay because of a system problem with ordering was overcome by making many phone calls to resolve it and with a nice cup of tea. Well done Kelly and HSL. Great service.

We visited the Exeter showrooms twice (our local) looking at all the different options, after visiting other showrooms to rule their products out. The staff in Exeter were exceedingly patient with us, helping us go through the possibilities and come to a final conclusion. Can't tell you how many fabric samples we tried out on the showroom furniture!! The staff are not on commission and so there is no hard sell: they are genuinely proud of their product. They were very knowledgeable about their furniture and what would be best for us: not only what would fit our lounge space, but also about what was most comfortable and best for our age and body shape. Decision made, delivery was smooth and the guys were excellent. They arrived exactly when they said they would and quickly put everything together, explaining and checking the riser/recliners that we have. Slight blip in the admin side inYorkshire because of the confusion caused by our old Devon phone number (only five digits) and call guard and the information about us being away on holiday wasn't passed on: but this is a minor matter. The important thing is that Kelly and her team in Exeter have helped us choose a suite that is right for us and we're very grateful for the time and trouble they all took.

Friendly. Very relaxed discussion. Very informative. No rushing for a decision. Good listener. Very clear answers. Enjoyable visit.

The very knowledgeable and helpful staff meant we were able to buy the correct sofas for our needs. We will be returning to purchase new chairs.
