HSL Chairs - Hendon Reviews 

Three weeks ago I visited the Hendon branch and received excellent service from Ali. Last week he visited our home with two differently sized chairs, and he was very patient as we finalised our choices of fabric and colours. I recommend HSL for their expert knowledge and personalised service. We look forward to the delivery of 2 chairs and a sofa, and feel reassured that we have chosen a great company. Thank you, Ali

Upon our arrival, my mother & I were warmly greeted by our client consultant Megan at our local branch in Hendon/London on 21st January 2026. We would like to thank Megan for her professionalism, she listened attentively to our needs, ensured we were able to sample the chairs we ticked in our catalog, we originally came in mind to buy a 2 seater recliner for my mother, however to our surprise we ended up buying a beautiful Helmsley Chair, accompanied with a Buckingham Chair, alongside a Queen Anne Footstool. My mother is so thrilled with her purchase and excited for the arrival of all 3 furniture. Thank you Megan, we really appreciate your knowledge and recommendation, and giving us the time needed as this was important for mum to get it right, and with your help we certainly did. I hope management sees our review of our experience as it well exceeded our expectations.

We popped in on the spur of the moment to look at a Stressless chair, Ali was super helpful with explaining all the options we could have and let us take our time without any hassle. He gave us all the details to take away so we could think about it.
We decided to go back a week later and see him to discuss what we would like, he took the time to sit and go through everything and made the process so easy, because of this we purchased the chair and now are awaiting delivery. Thanks Ali, you're a star.

Our onsite experience at HSL Hendon was very positive. The sales person Hamza Ahmed was very helpful, knowledgeable and polite. He wasn't at all pushy, and gave us time to consider our options.

Arrived on time and very efficient installation of my WONDERFUL new electric recliner chair. It is very comfortable for me with osteoporosis and myeloma and will make my life much more enjoyable! I highly recommend HSL for both the product and the service.

The HSL chair was delivered to us today, a couple of weeks early. We had been advised that we would be advised a precise delivery time today but the friendly delivery team just rang the bell and were very efficient and quick - very happy chappies

My fire side chair is great it is well made and is really comfortable, the guys Martin &Leon were very friendly and polite when they delivered it.

The staff member in the Hendon Branch was extremely helpful. She was able to answer all my questions about the armchair I had chosen and made me feel relaxed and unhurried in my decision making. I wanted a chair which would be exactly right for an elderly lady.

The staff person, Ali Ismael was careful, competent and pleasant, and guided our purchase in a gentle and thorough way. He gave us time to consider the size, colours and materials on offer.

We were very impressed by Sumeya and the young man assisting her with bringing the chairs into our home for my husband to try. They were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, making the experience very pleasant and relaxed. There was absolutely no pressure to buy. Brilliant representatives for your company. 10/10*

I recently visited the Hendon branch on several occasions to investigate purchasing a reclining chair to replace a HSL chair that was purchased many years ago. All the staff were friendly and helpful and I especially dealt with Ali who was excellent and walked through the various options available very thoroughly and clearly. The whole experience has been very positive.

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY. They do not follow their 48 hour cancellation policy, consumer rights or their refund policy!!! I purchased a bed that turned out to be of very poor quality — the headboard isn’t even properly attached and rocks with every movement! They rejected my claims and took 3 weeks to send a technician to check the bed before they could escalate any return or refund. They completely ignored the actual faults and instead filed a report based saying there was no issue with the bed - ignoring my customer dissatisfaction and rejecting my refund.

Worse still, they failed to provide any written refund or cancellation policy when asked, leaving me completely in the dark about my rights. It’s clear that HSL does not take genuine customer complaints seriously and instead hides behind biased, inaccurate technician reports.

What’s particularly disturbing is that HSL markets to the elderly and disabled — people who are often more vulnerable — yet they seem to exploit that trust which has been done so in our case. I’ve already raised this with the Furniture Ombudsman, my card company, and Trading Standards.

Avoid this company. They may claim to offer “comfort with integrity,” but my experience has been anything but.

The chair is comfortable and the controls are easy to use.
HSL kept me informed and delivered the chair on time. The pair of operatives were courteous and helped my wife by taking my old chair to another room,

Kim was really professional and knowledgeable and put us at ease. She gave us the space and time to try many different options and once our decision was made was most helpful in assisting us with the choice of fabric and requirements particular to our needs. Nothing was too much trouble for her - a credit to her profession!

The staff at the Hendon branch were fantastic. Adam spent about two hours with us showing us all of the chairs in the showroom. He took his time to explain why the chairs may be different sizes and took our measurements. There was no rushing we did not feel we were being pushed into buying anything and even offered to make an appointment for us to go away think about it and come back.
Our chairs were delivered today. We live on the third floor with no lift. There are over60 stairs climb Andy and Wayne were brilliant nothing was too much trouble. They were efficient and quick, they explained everything to us clearly including what to do if we have a power cut. They also made sure nothing I needed was left behind and took all the wrappings with them
The office staff kept in contact with us and were again supportive patient and very helpful answering the few questions we had.
We thoroughly recommend HSL it was probably one of the best services we have used recently. Thank you, HSL.

I was shown the chair sat in it shown how to work controls picked the material I wanted filled in relevant forms and that was it .
Very straitforward no hassle .
Now just waiting for the chair to arrive.
