Excellent service from Angela. We were greeted at the door with a warm, friendly reception.
The store was well laid out, clean and with an excellent selection of chairs & sofas.
Angela was exceptionally knowledgeable & nothing was too much trouble.

Lynn and her colleagues made us very welcome - service was amazing. The furniture was very impressive and my Mum found exactly the chair that she wanted with so many extras. We thoroughly recommend the furniture and particularly the service that we received at the Rotherham branch.

Visited Rotherham branch and had good sales service from the staff who explained everything very well. No pushy sales assistants and given plenty of time to make our choice. Advice given on fit of chairs and which would suit our needs. Took 6 weeks and three days to make and delivered by Craig and Jed professionally. Pleased with our purchase so far .

Excellent service from Lynne at Rotherham to delivery by Chris and Terry. Could not recommend highly enough for friendly, knowledgeable attention to detail with no pressure to buy.

We visited the Rotherham branch to order another riser recliner chair. 27/12/25. The staff were busy but had time to explain the features and give advice. There was no pressure to place an order that day although I did! The chair has been delivered today [I was unable to accept an earlier delivery] by Chris and Terry. They placed the chair where I wanted it and showed me how it worked. They were quick, efficient and friendly. I cannot recommend HSL to highly for its efficiency and helpful staff

Ian and Paul yesterday 19th Jan delivered our chair. A call 25 mins before gave us an accurate time They
would be arriving They were very professional and pleasant to deal with .

When at your store we were greeted by your assistant Lynn who opened the door and greeted us in.
She was very helpful and understanding as she brought the chairs to us as my wife was having difficulty walking the whole experience was very helpful and relaxed situation.we would certainly recommend Hal.

Carl & Lee came fitted the bed arrived as expected , due to phone half an hour before hand .
Given a hand over re controls and bed warranty . Can’t really fault the service from showroom to home .

Very helpful staff in store and given plenty of time to check out possible recliners and sofas in the store in Rotherham. Unfortunately the wrong material was ordered and there was a delay in getting the order completed; (hence 4 stars instead of 5).It was then hurried through as quickly as possible and the 2 delivery men (Craig and Damo) were excellent .

My father is currently suffering from Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s and struggles to stand up without assistance. My mother is his primary caregiver. We attended our local HSL Bramley store on Thursday 13/11/25 to discuss options available for a riser recliner chair. We were welcomed by Christine in store who was extremely helpful and attentive. Christine took time to answer all my mums questions and provided excellent help in discussing options available for the chairs. My mum walked into the store apprehensive about the pressure to make a decision but Christine quickly managed to put her at ease. She provided excellent customer service. Christine explained the importance of bringing my dad to the store before making any decisions regarding purchase of a chair. Getting the right size/fit chair for dad being a key factor for his comfort and safety. On Sunday 16/11/2025 we took my dad down to the store, unfortunately Christine was not working but we were greeted by Mark. Mark welcomed us with a beaming smile and provided the same level of excellent customer service, he was extremely helpful. Mark spent time with dad making him feel comfortable and helped us by identifying the best chair for his needs. He also helped us regarding the express delivery options so we could look to get the chair before Xmas. I think it really needs to be highlighted how great these two staff members were. They turned a daunting process for my mum and dad into a stress and hassle free process. There was no pressure at all from the staff just genuine support.

Went to to Rotherham branch twice. Saw Mark first then Louise. Not pressed either time - tried every chair while husband and daughter chatted and drank tea! Finally decided on two chairs and sofa. Uncertain about which fabric then Louise showed me a different chair made up in that pattern so I could see how it looked. Both Mark and Louise showed real interest in us and it was a pleasant experience

Mark was so helpful, patient and caring when I visited with my elderly mother
He spent ages making sure she chose the right chair.
I highly appreciate him to help anyone who is interested in superior comfort and expert advice

Had lovley chat and service from Mark. From holding the door open to getting exactly what we wanted. There was no rush. No pressure. He made a lovley cup of hot chocolate and that came with lush biceps. We didn't realise we had been over 2 hours in the shop and that was down to what most shops lack these days, Excellent Customer Service. We went in as customers and left like we had made a new friend. We had purchased from you before a few years ago and the same kind of service was given then. That's why we returned. So roll on till I get my new recliner. Thank you

From the time my mum walked into the shop to the delivery of her furniture she has received great service.

Mum was not rushed or pressured when she was deciding what furniture to buy. All her questions were answered clearly and the staff were very knowledgeable about the products, listening to my mum and providing great advice.

Delivery was on time. They were respectful of my mum’s home. They assembled the settee and chair and explained how the chair worked. They answered my mums questions and didn’t mind when they had to repeat themselves until my mum was satisfied she understood how to work the chair.

Thank you everyone for a great experience.

Delivery team of Ian and Paul arrived promptly and were very helpful

My mum needed a rise and recline chair and saw an advert for HSL so we visited our nearest showroom in Rotherham.
It was a fantastic experience from start to finish.
Our comfort specialist was Lynn and she was lovely, so knowledgeable, patient and caring and got my mum exactly what she needed.
Not only that we were served tea & biscuits which was a lovely surprise.
The chair has now arrived and is perfect and a big thankyou to Ian & Paul who delivered it.They were very kind & courteous to mum.

My mum and I went to the HSL showroom in Rotherham to look for a riser recliner chair.

All the staff we met were very friendly, approachable and thoughtful, but a special thanks goes to Christine who dealt with us.

There was no hard sell or pressure and we weren’t rushed at all. Instead, Chrstine spent a lot of time with us, helping my mum find the right chair. Even then, she provided us with a quote and we returned a couple days later to order. Again, on our second visit we were treated with every kindness.

In addition to the great service, my mum benefited by visiting the showroom as it allowed her to try several different chairs. This proved to be exceptionally important as the slightest change in size and shape made a huge difference in her comfort levels. She ended up ordering a different chair to the one we’d seen online.

We’ve only just ordered the chair, so this review relates only to our experience at the Rotherham showroom, but on those terms I would highly recommend trying HSL.
