I bought an Eckman hedge trimmer from them a few weeks ago and tried to use it for the first time today, but it failed completely to operate. The only way they will handle returns is by phone. I rang customer service and was asked to send a video of the item not working! I have never been asked to do this by any of the many momline companies that I have used, but they insisted. I took a video of myself operating the controls and the blades not moving, but the file was too large for my email to handle. I spoke to the same customer service person again who did not seem to understand that the video had failed to send. She passed me me on to her supervisor who said that it had failed because I tried to send it from my phone and that I should download it on to my PC and send it from there. Predictably, this did not work either. I rang back and spoke to a different person who eventually passed me on to a different supervisor who then told me that I should email a photo of the appliance to them and they would consider my request. This ridiculous sequence of events took up most of my afternoon and I still do not know what the outcome will be.

[ I know they are correct] as I order stuff from other suppliers with out any problems. I then decided to call Home shopping by phone but! in the opening information provided I was advised that my call would cost 10p per minute so I stopped my call and I will go else where.

Honesty of service
To place an order - the line was answered promptly. Placed an order. Received wrong items, not the ones I ordered. When it came to customer services - tried for two days to get a return code - no answer: no one picks up the phone: not before afternoon, not in the afternoon. Is the company a scam? Who knows. My disappointing customer experience suggests it may be.

Dreadful Customer Service
The item I ordered did not arrive, so I rang the customer service number I waited 20 minutes and got no reply, so I rang the next day, and got through to be told the item was out of stock, I was not advised of that fact, & I was given a future delivery date.
When the item finally arrived I was very disappointed, as the stand has to be taken off to fold, so the rack & stand have to be folded seperately, which is not made clear.
Getting return instructions & a return address was an absolute nightmare. I will never use the company again.

I wish I had read these reviews before ordering!
My order arrived 5 days later than estimated. It was poorly packaged, resulting in a 'free' bottle of oven cleaner leaking everywhere. All the items were covered in grime (maybe the leaky bottle was an attempt to disguise this?!), one item was dysfunctional, and the main thing I had ordered as a Christmas gift was extremely poor quality. I returned the items but 4 weeks later had to chase the refund (and waited 20 minutes to move one place in the queue). I am now out of pocket thanks to postage, and have wasted a great deal of time with this company whilst recieving a substandard resolution.

Home Shopping Selections, great value, good product.
I ordered some plastic dining chair protective covers from Home Shopping Selections, which were very reasonably priced. I thought that as they are value covers, if they were no good, I would not be too disappointed. The parcel arrived as notified on the agreed date, the order was tracked and I was pleasantly surprised that the quality was exactly as described, they also fit the chairs perfectly. Exactly as advertised!! I would take another chance ordering from this company as the marketing of the product was genuine and accurate.

I would give no stars if I could
I would give no stars if I could! Placed an order and paid £7.99 for 1-2 days delivery. Item was delivered 7days later so past the time frame as it was a gift. I then paid £4 to return the item and explained the only reason was it arrived so late and therefore expected both the item and postage to be refunded. After several emails I have been told only the item will be refunded. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE - GO ELSEWHERE!!

Just bought a pair of battery heated gloves . Instructions unhelpful . battery's also cause a big 4inch bulge at the end of your wrist and when you switch them off they fall out . Brilliant . I won't be buying anything from them again.
