I bought a 'laptop' rucksack from Henry in, I think, 2003 - something to carry a laptop in that didn't scream, "I've got a laptop - rob me!" And it's been great.

I sent it back for a refurb in ~2010 which Henry did for free.

By 2017 it started to look a bit tatty - one of the seams bust, and my better half bought me a replacement for Xmas. I was gutted.

Luckily, in 2019 the replacement broke irrevocably, which gave me the excuse to repair my old faithful.

I contacted Henry telling him I wanted to try repairing it myself. He said better send back to him cos he could fix in 2 mins for free. But I insisted and he coached me through it, including purchase of supplies from his wholesaler and guidance on "saddle stitching".

I retired this year, but my rucksack marches on - minus the laptop.

Henry is one of the best.

Simply delighted with my satchel "for life" which I received for my 40th birthday. Henry spent an hour of his time on the phone explaining in detail the different options and leathers, so the buying experience was the polar opposite of going into a brand store and paying twice the price to a shopping assistant who has no knowledge of leather whatsoever. The satchel itself is exactly as I had wanted, and other teachers at my school have remarked how beautiful it is. I'm very glad I did some internet research and managed to find Henry.

I brought a Full Monty briefcase for our son to take to University with him.

Right from the very beginning the communication was great, I knew what I was buying and followed it's journey right till it's arrival at home. The briefcase itself just oozes quality and our son is proud to be taking it with on his next stage in his life.

I was looking for a traditional style briefcase and could not find it except for offerings by”big name” designers for 200%-300% higher prices. I somehow stumbled upon Henry and I’m so glad I did. Henry blew away my already high expectations. Communicating with him was extremely straightforward and he immediately got to work. His craftsmanship is second to none and prices are without comparison.

Very quick responses to emails. Production and delivery of the bag was also fast and smooth. The bag is of very high quality, looks and feels amazing.

Firstly, I should explain that Henry made my briefcase around seven years ago. The design is similar to the Full Monty but the straps go all around the case (Henry did this and a few other bits as a one off) Seven years of full time use, taking a laptop in and out several times a day and carrying all of the other "stuff" of a working life. I'm in construction so my surroundings can be anything from a West End office to the middle of a muddy field. In the seven years the case has aged beautifully with the only hint of age being a small polished 2" circle where the case dangles against my hip when carried with the shoulder strap. So would I recommend Henry: YES. Do I still consider his prices to be too low: YES. So if you are looking for a case you can rely on or you are looking for that gift for someone special Henry is the gentleman and Artisan to speak too. You will not be disappointed. Best materials, best craftsman, equals best bags and cases! Proper quality that lasts and lasts.

Henry managed to produce a satchel for me as a special present from my husband at short notice for my birthday.I was helped by Henry's expertise to come up with a satchel to suit my needs.I am really pleased with the quality and design of my satchel.I would have no hesitation in recommending Henry for his workmanship.He is a true craftsman and gentleman.
