I would give a 0 rating if I could

I would give a 0 rating if I could - Purchased a Laptop (£600) from Curry's in May and been trying to sort it out since 2nd July - but because its been over 30 days they wont replace or refund and said it needs to be sent in for repair which is likely to take anywhere up to 4 weeks, I am using it for work so cannot be without it long than a weekend and Huawei wont just send me the speakers so i can replace them (I work in IT) and all they are offering is the same 4 weeks repair. VERY DISAPPOINTING - AVOID!!!!!

Update after original post on 1st July

Purchased a GT2e smart watch, less than 24hrs old all good so far, easy to set up and use, limited instructions so user compatibility is trial and error but definitely VfM, also received free headphones and £20 off RRP. Fully charged today, lets see if it lasts the 14 days suggested!? Overall presentation of boxes for both watch and headphones is on par with a premium product. Can't complain for £139.00 as looks like £300-400 watch. Durability of the strap will be a test of time. Update:9th July now at 20:05pm, doesnt look like the remaining 15% battery life will last the next 5 days, the claim is 14 days. I've now worn mine for 9 days without charge and normal use, i.e. no music downloads just, heart rate, track and trace etc.

Do Not Recommend

My husband purchased a Huawei Honor 10 for me back in November 2018. I have been pleased with the phone itself as its easy to use. But have found that the paint under the glass! has started to delaminate on the back. It looks very unsightly and like I've got a really old phone. It has been kept at all times in the gel cover provided and has a screen protector on the front. I feel embarrassed of the phone. I have contacted John Lewis who we purchased it from and Huawei themselves and they said it is down to wear and tear. It is not down to wear and tear it is a fault. I was told they could send it off for repair but I might have to pay. Why should I when it is a fault. I will not purchase another phone in the future from them should this one break. I have been extremely disappointed in the customer service help as I expect big companies who make billons to be able to provide better after care. Do not recommend as after care not up to standard.

Customer service - Worst experience ever!!

I ordered on 25/05/2020 the Huawei Matebook 13 AMD (which includes some gifts) because it went to be delivered on 2/06/2020.

I have been calling to the customer service number 08000886700 since 03/06/2020 receiving totally different answers for the stuffs such as your laptop has already been delivered, your laptop will be delivered ASAP, I don't have so much information because I am working form home or we wad an issue with your laptop in the warehouse and we have contacted with the head office, so we cannot tell you anything yet, we will contact to you ASAP.

Last week, on 11/06/2020 I put a complaint asking for the laptop and a compensation and I received a phone call telling me that everything has been sorted out. This week, as I haven't received any confirmation, I have called again and the answer I have received is, we will contact to you soon but if you want we can refund you the money (I have to wait for 14 days). Of course, I don't want the money after more than 20 days waiting.

I am quite desperate because I have neither the laptop nor the money and I don't know when I will get the laptop.

I don't understand how this can happen in a company such as Huawei. Since it's very big, it doesn't care about the customers.

Faulty phone and shocking Customer Service.

My experience of Huawei has been an unmitigated disaster. I originally had a Huawei Mate 9 and on the whole the phone was fine. I decided to stay with the company despite it's recent issues with Google Apps etc. I purchased a Mate 20 instead of the Mate 20 Pro because it seemed to offer better value and a larger display.

That was certainly the worst decision I have ever made. The phone was beset by problems from the beginning. The display and touch screen freeze/crash constantly and the phone has to be re-booted several times a day. The sound quality is atrocious. Listening to media/music or even trying to listen to a call is awful. The Network and Wi-Fi signals drop non-stop and at times there is no service available at all. Trying to draft a Text message is an ordeal on its own. The phone creates new words by itself. It also duplicates blocks of text and despite altering and adapting the settings nothing seems to work.

I contacted the fabled and much lamented Customer Service and found to my horror they have certainly earned their reputation. Initially they requested I reset the phone and when that did not work they asked for a full restore etc. None of these worked obviously. Then they requested I return the phone to their Repair Centre. Now, I was supposed to do this at my own cost and without guarantee of any form of compensation if the phone was lost in transit.

I sent an email to their Management Team and received a rather terse response from the UK Customer Service Manager. The gentleman was quite rude and claimed to handle their legal matters. He tried to intimidate me into not pursuing the case through the Courts by telling me as I did not send the phone to their Repair centre the Court would find in their favour. When challenged and informed they wanted a phone returned at my own expense and with no guarantee of any form of protection the great Huawei legal mind has failed to respond. I actually requested if he felt so confident to contest the claim we could meet in Court but with no great surprise he has failed to respond again.

This is an awful Company selling products from my experience which are not fit for purpose and their Customer Service and indeed their UK Manager lacks professionalism and empathy.

From my perspective I would not encourage anybody to purchase a Huawei Device as the quality has deteriorated dramatically. Initially the products may have been cheaper and represented value but now, they are expensive junk. As soon as something goes wrong your on your own. The Tech Support have little or no training and seem to disillusioned and who can blame them. If the attitude of the company towards their personnel is the same as towards their customers then this is only going to end one way. Huawei will go the same way as previous operators who enjoyed success for a brief period and then disappeared completely. Only with Huawei the Good Will that was associated with those companies will be sadly lacking with their demise.

Received my pro band 4 yesterday. Installed the app from the App Store through Apple. Installed the latest update. No SPo2 monitoring showing in app or on watch with rest of the features. This is one of the main reasons I bought the watch and it’s plastered all over their website advertising it in big bold writing and pictures along with the other features.
Rang customer services (30min call) basically told- In our fine print we actually state not all features available in different countries!!!!!!!!!!’ Talk about false advertising!!! What the actual???? Hiding behind fine print. Basically if near the SPO2 feature they made it clear might not be available in all countries then I would have checked!
Customer service advisor then made me check apps (she didn’t really have a clue bless her) because apparently even though I used my apple App Store and the app was there and I downloaded I should have apparently got the app off their website?? Yeah that’s clear and reassuring (why’s it on the Apple store then?)
After the customer service advisor clearly did not grasp how to explain to me that o didn’t need to install the same app as from Apple but off their website (confusing I know) I actually was needing to install their App Store before getting the app!! Clear as mud. Asked to be emailed the link as she just told me to google search it and when I clicked what I thought was right it didn’t work. Email never came through (I know) waited ages before asking her to physically spell out the web address. Clicked onto it - error message when I went to install App Store ‘not found’. Gets better (as you can imagine I’m flabbergasted by this point). I asked can I speak to customer service manager too early and to be fair it is. Asked to be called back later said could t say it was today as the customer service manger was working through a list when they get in (reassuring lol). Girl Dom said her manager might Call me back asked her to clarify if I would actually get called back? She said if not she would to let me know her manager wouldn’t speak to me haha. Ok so I asked what was their official timescale for call backs for complaints and got told they didn’t have one (ok you just work down the list no official policy/customer guidance) - lovely. Not really what you want to hear (no standards). Lost my second job recently bought the fitness tracker to help with my mental health during covid - added to my stress!!! Honestly never heard anything like this before blatant false advertising ‘buy this product it has all these features’ latest pro,,, erm but actually In our small print you won’t get what we advertised to you??? - did you not read our small print??? As you can imagine save you money and avoid avoid avoid!! - look forward to my call back and to resolve these issues. So is the feature ‘missing’ or are you saying the wrong app is installed?? Read online loads of other people had this problem it’s not the app it’s missing feature and false advertising according to others wish I had read this earlier!!! I don’t want a product that doesn’t do what’s advertised. Imagine buying an oven that has a pizza cooking feature advertised oven comes and it’s missing? You be like eh?? Bought it for that feature then supplier goes ok your in the wrong country??? What??

Excellent service and quality

Excellent service and quality. My P10 over 3 years still working very well. My wife's P20 Pro recently sent to RMA got repaired within 1 week. It's only adhesive failed but they replaced a new screen with new screen protector free. Definitely is a worry free product with reasonable price. I have bought P40 Pro to replace my P10, and will keep buying Huawei products as long as they keep the premium service and good quality.

Terrible experience with Huawei

Beware!!!!!!!!
Do not buy any item from this Co. Its not trustworthy. I bought Huawei mate xs for £2300.in the beginning it was showing case free with it but when I was ordering it was nt showing then I had chat with one of their colleague and he said it will be included with your order but I did not receive then I phoned them and they are messing me from last two weeks, I had a call today, they are saying if you buy case we will give you discount on it.
Huawei mate xs is so sensitive I got to know when I opened the box there is list where Co. Saying you ve to save this device from almost everything and they are not providing a case with it.
Huawei mate xs is one of the most expensive device with no support from Co. Plus without Google play store and you tube.
My experience with the Co. Is terrible I strongly recommend not to buy Huawei mate xs and avoid buy any other item from this Co.
This £2300 device is just for showcase without any support from their own.
Terrible experience of mine with this Co. 😭

I would not recommend the phones & watches

Brought one on contract p30, finger print not working, okay camera but returned it anyways

Then thought ill buy a cheaper version p20 lite and oh its rubbish.

Camera quality APPAULING
Touch screen, half the time unresponsive
Steps/pedomater is inaccurate, the watch tells me something different same company btw
Battery is rubbish. Only 3 months of the phone needs charging 3 times!!

The customer service is a joke, they ask me whats that on the top of the screenshot, well you should know!! You work for huawei. I was on the call thats what the green bar is!

Wasted £250, so did my partner on his so called honor phone the speaker phone is rubbish. Now ive had to spend more money getting an alternative phone. Worst mistake. I think a second hand htc wouldve been better

Very easy site to use.

Gave me all the information needed when I had a query about a product I had purchased, I would 100% use the site again. I was directed towards the support app on my phone going forwards though.

HUAWEI CUSTOMER SUPPORT APP!

HUAWEI CUSTOMER SUPPORT APP!

I'd like to share my superb experience using the Huawei support app (Previously known as HiCare)

I was having issues with my handset being unable to load certain Apps so I contacted a customer service agent via the HiCare App. They took some basic, easy information regarding my handset and instantly got to work!

They ran some remote diagnostics on my handset and resolved the issue without me having to do a single thing. My handset has worked perfectly fine since.

If anybody else has any problems with their Huawei phone, I recommend using this tool that is preinstalled on your device as they are extremely efficient, professional and helpful.

4g router and phones are fab

I have purchased a Huawei 4g router and this has been fab. Got faster / better connection compared to tp link in my experience as it is used in a remote location.
Also got the p20 and p30 lite phones for me and my son. Both are really slick and the cameras are great. Never had to use the customer support and hope I never will so cannot add any feedback for this but for the products I think they are fab and cheaper than competitors

The worst customer service in history…

The worst customer service in history Huawei, I upgraded my iPhone in January 2019 to a Huawei Mate 20 Lite. It all started well until my phone screen cracked, I decided to fix this via the UK Huawei team as I thought this would be a great, professional service.
I reluctantly sent off my phone and kept my sim card after multiple missed information from Huawei on how I would get my handset to them. I told then that in 14days I would be going on holiday and they confirmed my handset would be returned in time, also fixed!
This was the not case, I missed my phone and it was also sent back in the same condition after continued missed communication with Huawei.
I made a formal complaint after multiple multiple multiple times trying to plea and discuss the issues with uk huawei customer service guys where I just wasn't being taken seriously.
Weeks after my complaint I got a call from Huawei asking me to and my phone back to them so they could repair the screen, but it was too late I had this fixed myself. They then offered for a Mate 20 pro as an apology, I thought this was great and thought what a great way to correct the awful service I received. After this began in July, finally in October 2019 I thought this was resolved. I was later informed I couldn't have a pro but they would send me a 20, I was disappointed but still satisfied with the service. I even went out of my way to praise the team at executing this and closing this case.
Fast forward just one month it was apparent that the phone they sent was faulty, although I worked with EE in insuring that it wasn't my sim card, network setting etc. They even sent me a new sim to try and waived the line rental fee for one month (something I did not even request). Huawei were at fault, where I can only use my phone in wifi, the phone doesn't let me receive call, send texts or go on the internet outside of strong wifi. I emailed Huawei about ten times in November and December, I received just one poor reply and then heard nothing again. Mid January 2020 I customer service agent contacted me, she came across nice and professional and I thought besides everything we were finally getting somewhere.
.i gave her two options either a straight swap for my handset, whether by mate 20 lite was returned or just a replacement 20 I didn't care I just need a working phone for work, family emergencies etc. Or to take the handset and give me the money for what it is worth so I can but an iPhone or Samsung.
This lady confirmed she would come back to me, but I have endlessly had to chase and annoy her colleagues in getting her to call me. I have now been told this handset needs to be sent off (likely for up to two weeks)/for them to inspect the phone as they do not trust me that the phone is actually broke. Even though EE have confirmed multiple times that this fault lies with Huawei, I even began to evidence my day of trying to make calls, send texts, join wifi, enabling wifi calling. What an earth is wrong with this company and their customer values. I strongly recommend that anyone working with Huawei / thinking about taking a Huawei phone out highly considers this. I still have a broken phone with awful customer service that is ongoing and likely not to be resolved.
I am not one to complain but this is ridiculous, the timeframe they should be going out of their way to sort my awful situation out. I have since been told that my mate 20 is likely to have been a handset built for another country.

The issue since Nov/Dec I have had to deal with messages from someone in head office called Malaya, I pleased with the customer service and complaints department to simply get him to call me. He refused, obviously thinks his role is above dealing with the customer directly.

SO bad, POOR. RUDE!

SO bad, no reply to my emails, letter, telephone calls, facebook. Not even an acknowledgement of my letter of complaint!

13th December 2019

Dear Sirs,

All too often customers only bother to write when they have a complaint. This unfortunately is no exception.

I have been a Hauwei Mobile phone user for good few years (and more recently purchased 3 tablets) In February 2019 I purchased on a contract a P Smart 2019. While the days of the week have a ‘Y’ in them I will not purchase an i-phone!

Despite my phone having a protective cover and toughened glass screen cover I managed to drop this phone. It must be said it fell from quite a distance and landed on its back. When I looked at the phone, I had rather hoped the damage to the screen was just the additional glass cover and not the actual screen. This was not the case. When these things happen, you have to just pay up and look big. I purchased a brand-new sim free replacement from John Lewis. I ordered a new cover and glass, waited till these arrived and fitted to the new phone.

In all my years of mobile phone use I have never had a screen even as much as crack, let alone smash. With in a few days the new protected P Smart 2019 came out my pocket while I got up from a chair and dropped less than 30 cm to the floor and again, landed flat on its back. Not on its side, or edge, or corner. Again, the screen had cracked significantly. Obviously miffed by this I emailed you. The email was not to ask for a new phone or even to repair it. Simply, to inform you that I felt the quality was not there and is t right these phones are so weak. Extra protection had been added and still so much damage. I emailed you twice, and no reply.

As I had no reply in what I considered a reasonable time I contacted you by phone (not from my broken one) and explained the situation that this I felt was not acceptable and having dropped various mobile phones in the past 20 odd years never broken a single one. I explained that I have purchased two, now three Hauwei tablets instead of the usual Samsung and what this the correct decision following the weakness of the phones. Not once did I ever suggest something for nothing. The operative on the phone was very helpful and apologised for the non-response from my emails, and assured me he would look into this and get back to me.

The following day I received and email. It is the worst presented, the worst grammar, the worst attitude I have ever come across. I can only assume you have got some one from the local comprehensive school to compose and send it while they are doing work experience with you. I have copied and pasted this exactly as I received it.

“Good afternoon Mr. Gary Garton. I have read through you complaint today and definately feel for you in regards to a smashed screen. I appreciate that some phones are stronger than others becuase of their design. Unfortunately our policy states that any self inflicted damage is void of warranty. I have fed this back up the correct channels as feedback which Huawei takes very seriously. I understand that this is probably not the outcome you wanted. But its set in stone that a smahsed screen must be paid for. Kind regards,”

I am far from impressed by that!

It is unacceptable you allow someone to send this reply to anybody, let alone someone who is in need of some love from a company who he has purchased 2 mobile phones, 3 tablets and 2 recommendations to friends to have a Hauwei product over and able an i-phone.

This reply in my mind is offensive beyond the pale. I have not only been insulted by the poor spelling and the whole email. Anyone who reads that would assume I was demanding a new phone; HOW VERY DARE YOU ALLOW THAT TO HAPPEN.

Your response above is clearly not acceptable, there was no offer to inspect the phone to confirm the very low impact damage was due to manufacturing defect, stress fractures or any sort. There was no care or warmth towards my loyalty towards the company. Instead, I was branded a scrounge!

In light of this reply from a ‘Customer Care Employee’ I do want a resolve to my initial complaint and feel that I am now not being unreasonable in a replacement phone. Perhaps who ever wrote that email should be the one to pay for it and have some lessons in how to deal with paying customers.

I am sorry to land this on your doorstep however; I am sure you and understand my anger at the company response. Had this been sent to one of your close family members I am doubtless sure you would feel the same.

Once you have investigated this complaint I look forward to your reply.

I was given Huawei Watch GT2 in July…

I was given Huawei Watch GT2 in July of this year. In November it stopped working correctly. The watch was purchased through Amazon. Amazon advised me that it would be better to contact Huewei direct, Which I did. I phoned Huawie on 25 of November. I was told they would send me a "jiffy" bag with 3 days to return the watch. I was also told that they would send me a replacement on receipt of the faulty one. After a week no bag arrived, I phoned again and was told the bag was sent on 26 of November and that it would arrive in a few days but it would take some weeks to fix/replace as their subcontractor was having problems. I contacted Amazon and they gave a refund for the watch as I did not want a replacement. I am not happy at all with the lack of service provided. Should Huawei see this review and wish to check their services the reference number is HW251120193978

I would not buy anything from this…

I would not buy anything from this Company. I was sold a Huawei phone by Carphone Warehouse who said Huawei would give me a £50 cash back on the sale and provided me with the sales pack. I applied for the cash back and was told the receipt was not applicable and then told me the offer had timed out even though it had only just that day opened up. My view is it is a total scam. Try Apple much better Company.
