Shameful return policy
I have just move to a remote area. On hungryhouse I found a takeaway that delivered to my address. Placed the order, money taken in a flash. Ten minutes later a message to say they don't deliver to my address, order cancelled.....money will be returned in 3-5 days. You should be embarrassed. Disgusting. I will never use them again.
Having just received your response I’m grateful for your apology, but at no point was I informed of any credit on my account to cover the time restraints on said refund. Thanks, Mark

AVOID HungryHouse!
This is the first and last time I will use HungryHouse. I had planned a Saturday night in with my wife. I placed an order for a takeaway with HungryHouse and received a text to say my order was received and would be with me within 40mins. 2 hours later and still no sign. When I contacted HungryHouse they informed me my order had not gone through (despite getting a text message to say it had been dispatched). They offered me a refund which would take 3 days to go through and £5 credit instead. The lesson learned is speak direct to the restaurant and don't use a 3rd party like HungryHouse or go and get the food yourself.

I'd give it less if I could! Have ordered direct from the local Indian several times but did on line for ease. What a joke! Food never arrived, 50 minutes after the due time and several phone calls to the takeaway we realised the order had not gone through so went and got a kebab! Never again!

poor experience
Ordered from burgersmith Twickenham on 15/09. Food was late and most was soggy. Burgers were good and, to be fair, had they been delivered when originally promised by hh would have been excellent. Altogether a disappointing experience...and probably won't be using hh again

Ordered from the company, to find I was blacklisted because someone made a prank order to my address, ok thats weird but they can get me unblocked, fine!. fraud team said no. I wanted to speak to manager who didnt waste a second in yelling at me, reducing me to tears. I asked if the call was recorded and he said "nope", awful awful. I just wanted a nice take away and now im in tears..horrible. called the restaurant directly and got my order sorted. though just to add, Hungryhouse took my cash first. before then insulting and yelling at me.

First time ordering from the company …
First time ordering from the company and my order was refused despite ordering 2 hours previously for despatch when they opened.. hungryhouse gave the option to pre-order. no option to leave a comment on their website about cancelled order and need to wait 3 days to receive refund through the bank. not good enough

Nice idea, but let down repeatedly.
Nice idea, rubbish execution. Every order I have placed has been delayed - sometimes immediately after ordering, and some have eventually been cancelled, leaving me high, dry and hungry. I suppose that's where they get the name from.
On the latest order, as soon as it was placed we got a text saying it would be 25 mins late. Hungry House website directs us to the takeaway with any questions; when we ask the takeaway to cancel we are told to speak to Hungry House. Who try and respond within 48 hours.
These guys suck you in and let you down. Repeatedly. Maybe I am the fool for forgetting and giving them one last chance.

Great App!
Great App!
I love using the app for this. There's a good spread of food and even my part of London is well serviced.
If there's one complaint I have, while I love the repeat order function, it'd be great if I could edit them. Once I got an amazing order but one bit (rice) wasn't great. If I could have repeated the order and removed the one item I didn't like with minimum fuss, that would have been much easier!

Extremely poor service avoid !!!
I received the wrong items on my order but because they closed at 23:00 and my food was delivered after this I couldn't solve the problem on the night.
I tried to contact HungryHouse on the night but the website says they are Available from 9am - 11pm
I have now been told the restaurant are not being helpful so they can't do anything and I should have phoned them as the lines are open 24/7.
The contact page does not show the lines are open 24/7 and says they are Available from 9am - 11pm
As the information was displayed wrong they should have then solved the problem as it's their fault I didn't do this on the night.
Extremely poor service avoid !!!

My First ever Hungry House order
My First ever Hungry House order. ordered a (really bad) meal from Twin Dragon in Folkestone (just don't - the worst Chinese). Hungry House claimed a 20 min delivery but as soon as I had paid, the delivery time IMMEDIATELY changed to 50 mins (Which is unacceptable). Be honest (Its a nice idea but i won't be ordering through them anymore)

Ridiculous attitude over voucher code - your company makes the errors, you fix it, not ask me to send photographs etc. And claiming the vouchers had date limitation on - you had them printed, you must know there was no date limitation on.

I placed an order with hungry house
I placed an order with hungry house, the order was accepted and confirmed then the place I ordered the food from rang me and said the minimum order details on the "hungryhorse" website was incorrect. A member of customer survice then told me it was there mistake and the money would be refunded to me the fallowing day by 5 am. I then had a email I wouldn't not receive the money back in my account for 5 working days. On top if that due to not having a full account I can't even spend the money that was on there as I was told. Never had such dramas ordering food in my life and will never be using them again.

Shocking and even worse customer service.
Absolutely shocking and even worse customer service. Used the site to order food on 13th Aug. Something seemed to go wrong as an order was delivered unpaid. I noticed it was wrong order from wrong takeaway. Nobody at hungryhouse can explain how if my order Didn't go through how come i got a delivery at expected time from a takeaway I've never used.
I have had from them there does seem to be an order in our system for your address, but cash order and none of the details match up (The same order delivered to me). I have since had them pushing the blame away from them with different excuses.
•Did someone else in your home do it.
• Do you live in a flat or apartment
• It seems the order did not go through and the restaurant delivered one to you anyway.
•Its more likely that a person known to you has placed a prank order.
I am a 36 year old woman not a teenager.
Instead of just accepting that they have made a mistake they send you around customer service team with each one not taking the time to read what happened.
I will never try again and never recommend, tell people to avoid at all costs.

Placed an order they take the money then say they can't fulfill the order and I have to wait 3 days for a refund. Spoke to someone who gave 3 different reasons for not fulfilling the order and then quoted data protection for not being able to tell me the exact reason. I've never had a problem ordering before. So they can take the money and not place the order! I will never use them again. Surely if they don't want to take my order they have the technology to stop me placing it in the first place.

Do they use automated robots in customer services?
Never had a problem with this app before but today i orderd a delivery about 8:30ish and i had a text comfirming the order. And the text said a reference number and a rough delivery time was. I waiting past the delivery time! So i messaged hungry house support who took forever to respond to my messages (i thought they could possibly be automated robots) asked them why my order was late was told the system didnt pick it up but they contacted the restaurant and it would be 30mins(asap) Its now 9:40 and i call the restaurant to be told hopefully it will be delivered by 10 thankfully it got here 10 mins later.
Lesson learnt I'll be calling the restaurant direct next time
