I bought an Aarhus ebike and I'm really enjoying riding it. It's quite powerful and sails up hills. The bike is exactly as expected and superb value for money. Hygge staff were really helpful at every stage.

A couple of minor gripes; it's slightly heavier than I expected and I needed to replace the tyres with more puncture resistant ones. But at this price bracket that's to be expected.

I thoroughly recommend Hygge Bikes.

I love the design and quality of the Hygge e-bikes. Everything feels wheel thought off, well chosen and well made. The bikes came as good as completely mounted so even if you're not that handy it's super easy. The bikes are a joy to ride and the customer service is very helpful. I have the impression that there as just a small team, but enthusiast only behind. Would definitely recommend and buy again.

I’ve been using the Hygge Virum for a few weeks now and it’s been a great experience overall.

I’m a big tall lady and I was a bit worried about sizing at first, but the Hygge Virum fits me perfectly! It feels sturdy and comfortable to ride, even on longer commutes. Battery life is excellent—I've been commuting regularly and it holds charge really well. The ride is smooth and it handles town travel with no problem. The electric motor is fantastic, it makes hills easy peasy, even on tired legs! But I do think it could benefit from a wider range of gears.

One of my favourite features is the folding mechanism—it folds in three, which makes it really easy to store under the stairs at home. Super convenient for small spaces. It is a little awkward to move around when folded, but that’s a small trade-off for the storage benefits.

Also, the communication from Hygge during delivery was spot on fast updates, everything arrived on time and well packaged. Overall, I’m really happy with the bike and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a practical and stylish e-bike for commuting or everyday use.

I’ve had the Vester for 2 months now and found it will go anywhere even on shingle roads. It’s stable, well balanced, planted and gives complete confidence. It tackles hills far better than my other e-bikes and most important it’s a joy to ride. Admitted it’s heavy but that’s the nature of “fat bikes” but this is not as heavy as others in this class,
The flexibility of the controls is very good. I’ve selected 0 to 9 PAS points and developed my own power profile to give a docile bottom end whilst still having a powerful top end.
The build quality is very good and all the components used are high quality.
The customer service is A1, if they haven’t got the answer to an inquiry they will get somebody who has the answer to contact you.
I’ve had/got several e-bikes and if I had to choose only one it would certainly be the Vester

Absolutely brilliant customer service! Ordering online was very easy, and the Team was in touch very quickly after planning the order. I asked for delayed delivery as we were going away and that was all sorted for us. Andrea was proactive in suggesting substitutes when some items were out of stock, and my suggestions were taken into consideration, too. The bike itself (Virum Step) is fantastic, very good quality - it's lightweight and mostly very intuitive. When I can afford another ebike, I'll definitely go back to Hygge.

I bought a Heron White Vester Step on the cycle to work scheme, and really enjoy arriving at work without a sweat on! The bike is really eye-catching and fun to ride. Hills are no issue for the motor and it is even more fun off-road! The chunky tires cope well with the same ground I used to ride my hybrid bike on. The battery is neat and easy to charge on and off the bike. The LED display is really well designed. All in all, a fun, well designed bike to ride.

I am impressed with the level of assistance provided by the motor and the general finish of the bike. There are a few improvements which I believe would make the bike even better. These comments are after having ridden the bike 44 miles in my week of ownership
1. Keep the power output away from the chain (and road) by the connection being at the top of the seat post not the bottom.
2. Make some higher gears available if possible. I have only found it necessary to use the top 4.
3. Use a torque sensor rather than a cadence sensor so as to provide assistance immediately once pressure applied to pedals.
4. A better way to hold together when folded rather than a strap.

Excellent service throughout. I ordered the Virum in sangria red, wow what a stunning bike! Andrea was so helpful and efficient in helping me place my order and arranging delivery. The bike itself is quality with decent components used throughout. It arrived well packaged and pretty much fully assembled, I just needed to fit the pedals on. 5 stars all round.

The bike (vester step 2025) is more than I hoped for high quality build, comfortable and powerful, I live in the Cotswolds and it tackles the hills with ease.

apart from some minor teething problems around delivery, which were dealt with very professional by Andrea. Great communication throughout no BS or false promises. Bike is a real joy, build quality superb, handling is great. Slightly on the heavy side compared to my non electric Dahon so if you need to use regularly on public transport might be an issue. Overall extremely happy with my Virum

My new Hygge Vester 2025 is terrific! Works straight out of the box, with just minimal setup required. It reaches 25 km/h so easily, I couldn't quite believe it at first. The bike feels really solidly built and sturdy and is an absolute joy to ride. I will definitely be on the lookout for what Hygge Bikes comes up with in the coming years. Keep up the great work, Hygge and thank you for the awesome bike!

Fantastic experience all round, recieved my bike super quickly - on notification of a missing item the support was amazing.

Josh and the team at Hygge pulled out all the stops to repair an issue on the Vester, with Josh personally repairing the bike at the home address. Josh is a credit to the company and I can’t thank him enough. Hygge is as much about customer service and satisfaction as sales, a few other companies should follow their ethos!

Just taken delivery of the Aarhus e bike. Only had a two mile ride so far but extremely impressed. Smooth, powerful. Comfortable. Had an issue with delivery (not Hygge fault), but Hygge sorted out in no time. So back appears impressive.

Josh Hobbis I reached out to this guy and to my suprise he responded not only did he respond he help me out without any issues multiple times and sent me a new part for my bike as I didn't know what Todo this guy is a legend and his company should acknowledge his efforts to help the customers) owner very much appreciated

Got my step model from Aarhus series, and I’m blown away. The motor response is smooth, the transition into assist feels seamless, and the overall comfort of the ride is just spot on. You can really feel the quality in every detail. What I also love is how you can manage your own fitness level by playing with the assistance level and road conditions, push harder when you want a workout, or just enjoy the support when you need more relaxed ride. That said, even with no assistance at all, the ride is pure joy with this beauty. Hats off to the engineers, an amazing product!

I have just bought a Virium. Attractive bike but the power assistance is far less than a Lime bike making it hard work even on the flat. Seating position not comfortable, I have to stand in the saddle to pedal

The Vester is a high quality e bike for the price.
I purchased the step through version which is ideal for me being a pensioner.
The bike is powerful and I have been able to ride up and down steep hills without any problem by using the 5 levels of assistance combined with the 7 speed Shimano gears.
The ride is good due to the front suspension and comfortable saddle.
The bike at 27kg was quite heavy for me initially but I soon got used to this.
This company provide an excellent customer service from initial order through to after sales.
I had a query about a slight specification change and the communication from the logistics department was excellent explaining everything and the reason for the change.
I would recommend this company for its great service and the quality of the bike .
