DISAPPOINTING WARRANTY POLICY

DISAPPOINTING WARRANTY POLICY - I recently purchased a unit that charges two phones, an Apple Watch, and apple headphones but within 2 weeks the unit started experiencing trouble and now the headphone charging doesn't work at all. I contacted customer service and after chasing them for weeks I finally got someone who said that I have to pay to return it to them and then they will assess if the unit should be replaced or not. I even took a video for them of how the headphone charging doesn't work and they still are forcing me to pay hard earned money to return their faulty product. NOT HAPPY!

If I could give them zero stars I would

If I could give them zero stars I would.

I send 3 stackable GAN wall plugs due to recall - I understood the owner didn't fess up to the recall and only responded once the government got involved.

Fast forward - 3 items were received by hyper and they closed out the issue without a store credit as promised. Then they issued a credit for 1 item only after I called and then I had to call be 2 more times to get the refund for the complete order.

So now I have the store credit - I but new 3-in-1 charger and 2-in-1 charger and love the 3-in-1 and need to return the 2-in-1. I do so starting in early March. They said it will be automatically credit back to my account 24 hours after receipt. It wasn't. I wait 2 weeks and call, they note my call, escalate issue and asked for 48 hours to respond. No response.

I call again - same drill - escalation - 48 hours - no response. I am now into this recall, return, rebuy scenario for 5 months and I am still not done.

I love their products but I cant help to think they try to run out the clock or prey upon peoples inability to follow through and hope that nuisance will cause the end user to forget about the issues.

It's sad b/c these folks have such good product taste and engineering and could go VERY far - they literally make better items, with better design than apple. But senior management can't get their business running properly or ethically. I will be registering a letter with California, the BBB and probably a letter from my lawyer (a family member). I have seen offers to run a class-action - I understand the sentiment.

Fire hazards and negligent customer service

Sent a replacement for a fire hazard power bank, but didn’t mark it as a replacement so I was hit with an expensive import fee.

Customer services denied responsibility, so now I’m left coughing up and with the admin headache of taking them to small claims.

Solid products, NOT RELIABLE business

Over the last decade, I've been buying products from Hypershop and spent well over $2K. Their products were always reliable and worked as advertised.

When I need a hub, charger, or cables, Hyper would be my first stop. Earlier this month, I contacted the customer service because I ordered three cables but only one shipped. They looked into it and concluded that shipped all cables. There is no way for me to show the items that are missing.

I will not be purchasing from Hyper again.

Warning - DO NOT purchase from Hyper

Warning - DO NOT purchase Hyper products.

They are an unethical company with lousy customer service.

2 yrs ago, one of their power supplies failed a couple of weeks out of warranty - their response, sorry. I fgured, it happens and went on with life.

Recently while trying to check what freight would be on an item, after one of their other items recalculated freight just prior to payment to be $150 for a less than 500gm product, I accidentally hit proceed, instead of cancel and it pulled obviously stored cc details from the previous order and processed the order. I immediately emailed requesting to cancel. They ignored my emails for 3 days, then responded, 'sorry, shipped.'

Almost 1 month later after multiple 'we will sort this out' then being ghosted for 2 weeks I get an email saying sorry, we have been so busy and the problems are effecting many customers, but basically screw you, we won't/can't do anything.

Good product, BAD business

Their products are good, but their customer support, after sales pretty much non-existent.

22 October 2024:
Ordered products and payed a total of $168.98 USD

23 October 2024:
Got a confirmation of the order

After that I did't get any communication. No information about tracking or any updates.

It is November 1st 2024 now and not a single word.
I have contacted them twice and I still didn't get a reply. I'm not even sure if I can get my money back

So I would suggest not to buy anything from their site. If you still want their products, rather buy them from a reseller. But this is a bad VERY bad representation of their brand. SO BEWARE.

scam

unfortunately, most of us didn't see this site until we gave them our money. It's been 3 weeks and I haven't even got a tracking number. I'm counting it as a loss, but it's going to cost them more to screw me than to send me my order. I promise.

** Watch out Rip Off/SCAM Company

Ordered a SSD Enclosure on 22 November. Didn't hear anything for a week. Submitted a Support Ticket. After ticket issued they Created a Label with FedEx this happened on the 29th of November. Contacted them via their ticket system and got an email from James Jackson in customer support giving me the tracking number and telling me the Item Shipped, I checked FedEx tracking and the item was still listed as "Label Created". Contacted Hyper via their ticket system and received zero response. Current status of order is as of Dec4 is still "Label Created" Cost me $90 to learn the lesson that this is a SCAM Company. My own fault as I didn't research the company before spending my $$. Stay Far Far away from these scammers !

A Month of Silence and Still Waiting

I'm regretting my decision to place an order (SH140586) with Hyper. More than a month has gone by, and my order is still incomplete. No cable, no invoice, and worst of all, no communication despite my multiple attempts through their ticket system (#299349).

This isn't just poor customer service; it feels like a complete rip-off. The utter lack of communication and resolution is absurd and unacceptable in today's digital age. I'm left with operational and financial delays, and no way to rectify the situation.

If you're considering Hyper for your tech needs, think again. What looked like a straightforward purchase has turned into a cautionary tale of how quickly a company can cross the line into scam territory.

It's sad how their products feel so high quality while the company itself has such low standard for everything else.

These guys ripped me off

These guys ripped me off, ordered a battery pack that turned out to be faulty on a recall.
Instead of replacing it, they issused me a credit gift card, turns out the the the price of the battery pack has a massive increase, and also shipping cost of $90 is as much as the battery pack. Fought with their support team for months and got no where.

Be sure to do a chargeback on them

Cop-Out Excuses

They haven't been great with helping me with problems, I always have to search for things myself. Worst of all they give cop-out excuses in September of 2023 that it "will take longer than usual, and up to a week for them to respond DUE TO COVID" .. At this point in the game, its obvious when companies use cop-out excuses. Do better hyperdrive!

Terrible firm

Very bad service.
Bought a battery pack which they recalled because of fire hazard. Received a $150 voucher to use on the website. Replacing battery pack costs $249 + $ 30 transport + $ 60 VAT and importtaxes.
Don't ever buy a thing here.

Mishandled a product safety recall

HYPER previously sold a battery pack on Kickstarter that it recently recalled due to being a fire hazard. Despite being a safety recall, they only offered store credit for the product rather than a full refund, which is infuriating on its own, but in addition to that, they don't have any equivalent battery packs available to buy at the same price, meaning a customer would need to spend even more money to get a similar product. They also didn't even provide a store credit for the full value, as they only sent me $149, but their own documents show I paid $159.

They claimed that the lack of communication throughout the recall process was due to their hiring a third party to handle it, but this doesn't absolve them of their responsibilities, and for several months, I received minimal or no communication about my returned item or my expected refund.

In general, this company is extremely untrustworthy, and given their current safety track record, I wouldn't buy from them again and risk another (botched) recall.

Had to pay almost full price to replace their faulty product

I ordered two USB-C 100w Battery chargers from their kickstarter many years ago. When they (eventually) arrived they were ‘fine’ although not as sleek or classy looking as the kickstarter promised.

This year I received emails from hyper shop telling me to stop using these items immediately as they are a FIRE HAZARD and should be disposed off immediately. They did not explain how to do this or that it would cost me money.

Their only compensation was to offer a voucher to the value i paid for their kickstarters which could only be used on their website. Not sure if its legal to not bother refunding someone with an offer of real money but whatever, I decided to order a replacement.

They no longer offer the exact model I ordered (no surprise if they EXPLODE I guess) but the current model is well over $250 USD with $30USD shipping, and I only have a $200 USD voucher.

So I paid the difference and shipping to a total of £60 GBP to get a replacement from them and then they UNBELIEVABLY state the value of the order on the shipping at $250USD (paid less than $50usd remember) AND use FEDEX who ‘always’ enforce tax and ask for another £58 GBP($75USD) due on the full amount!!!!

So I just paid well over half the price of my original product to replace my original product from the company that sold me that product and then told me to stop using it because it is a fire hazard. What a joke. Hyper juice, if you sell faulty products, you should refund in cash or replace like-for-like, anything else is dishonourable, disingenuous, and reprehensible - and quite possibly illegal in the UK. Will be looking into that.

This shop is terrible

I ordered two items from Japan. Purchasing from this shop was never pleasant. Here's why.

- It took me about 2 months to finally receive the order confirmation email after placing the order.
- Poor customer communication. They took 2 weeks to finally email me back.
- Each item has been shipped separately.
- Each item had mixed up tracking number.
- I only received one, and the other never reached me. No idea if it's carrier's fault or theirs, but either way I couldn't trust them.
- The item is tiny but packed in way too large box. Maybe it was 100 times bigger.

I'm still dealing with them to get what I paid for, but they seem not want to be held accountable.
Unless you have no choice, waste no time for this shop.
