I received an email the my id was verified and then received another email that my id was not verified. I had previously had my id verified by the VA a couple years ago. I had to go to the post office and have a postal employee verify all my documents and enter a code in the computer. That was completed. The VA verified and accepted but the SSA spins you in circles. This was my second attempt to verify id with the SSA online and again no success.

Length of time to try to get the wallet and then it would not allow me or I would not able to get into the service with the government. That I need. I have not yet approached the help desk as I ran out of time and patience.

Be prepared to conformably trust some third party you've never heard of and the government with all of your most valuable and personal information- including your likeness! that now anyone who has access to this info, can steal your whole life and identify with! And you're not given any other choice to "op-out" of any part of it.
"No, really, it's OK, just trust them. Really. And I'm also sure that they're the one company in the whole world that can never be hacked."

When the IRS began requiring third-party identity validation, I choose ID.ME. The service has always worked well for me by giving a sure way to access my IRS account. The additional steps the IRS now requires is less convenient that before, but I understand the need to suppress identity fraud; so, I take comfort in that. ID.ME does facilitate that for the IRS and is not difficult for me to use.

After jumping through many hoops and giving out very personal info I was denied verification. I would assume that it was a one time glitch, however it has happened before. I needed info to get my poor very ill mother the care that she needs and so there ended up being a delay and I had to get the info from another company that charged $139. That money could have been spent to help my mother instead. The first time was a similar issue related to my mom's health. Again, they made her care get delayed to no fault of ours. They recommended I try again and I was verified two days later. This all had to do with getting info related to my Dad's service in two wars. We weren't trying to get welfare, we were trying to get the care my Dad worked for having been in the service his whole life and having fought in 2 wars to provide for in her time of need. She also worked her whole life. It would have been easier if I applied for welfare and wasn't entitled to it I'm sure!!!

I finally got my issues resolved after 2 years of trying to get my 2 accounts from being suspended and merged into 1 account!

It was fast and easy to get connected to my profile. A good experience.

Laborious. After success, entry into site did not solve my problem.

I could never get my picture to be uploaded without getting an error message. The entire process was frustrating. However I finally went in person and got my documents verified. ID.ME covers all bases to ensure you get your verification completed.

It allowed me the ability to know what to do next

So far nothing has work for this absolute piece of crap software if you can even call it that. I can not in any way whatsoever get this damn thing to let me log in to verify my Id. It either just keeps taking me back to the same page or if i try to reverify my license it says my camera permissions are not on, but they are. Ive tried every single thing I can think of and NOTHING works....this is B.S.

Confusing directions, words and overall experience. Still got through it. But have no idea what went on.

Never able to sign in. Do not recommend.

Worst service ever and they just reconnect to another person wich takes hours. I contacted support at 8/8:30am and been waiting for 2 hours and no support now I’m not even going to bother to waste my time anymore and Luis T doesn’t know how to do his job. Thanks again ID.me. Poor service bad user experience do not recommend them if you want your time wasted.

Unable to sign into the service.
Confusing.
No customer service to speak of.
You can go around the ID.me Roadblock (designed to make taxes more difficult and less secure) by calling the IRS Appointment 844 545-5640.
I would recommend this to every US tax payer.

Quick and easy

Hard to use. I never got access to my account so now I wait for my check. 6 weeks. Lovely. I have used it in the past but never works easily on the 1st try. Takes several attemps and a lot of patience. Today no luck what so ever!

I felt using ID.me for the first time was pretty self explanatory and easy once you got into it and set up .

The service was wonderful and everything went smoothly.
