Best Wine Auction site globally. I have bought a lot over the years and only Sothebys is comparable, but they offer a much more narrow selection (but full OWC cases in contrast). If you look for single rare bottles this is the best and the safest place to buy them. My only complaint is that big buyers like me have to zero auction fee discount. In general no real loyalty reward system. What I also appreciate is that you can ask provenience questions. I would say about 5% of the bottles I have bought and drank have beed badly stores or had PREMOX. I would suggest you do your homework before bidding over 500€ - it's a risk - reward game.

Initial Delivery consisted of wine crate with wine delivered shortly thereafter

I purchased two expensive bottles of wine the 20th of August. This were shipped on September 1st with FedEx but providing a wrong tracking number. The wine still has not arrived by November 14th and the company is being difficult in issuing a refund.

Idealwine quickly resolved the issue once this was escalated. I understand shipping is beyond their control but they have done everything possible to mitigate.

I did the first delivery on may to look how they work and after less time I did many others order (shipment to Italy) because it’s a very serious company; large selection, good prices and perfect shipment (packaging and time do delivery); number 1.

I have been purchasing bottles on and off from iDealwine since 2021 and have always been satisfied with my experience.

Shipping wine to the United States can be expensive (and, to be fair, it takes a bit for orders to be dispatched); however, communication surrounding delivery timelines, associated fees (including potential tariffs), and the benefits of consolidating multiple orders has always been clear.

Most importantly, iDealwine has provided great support throughout the shipping process: not only when it comes to occasional customs delays, but the worst case scenario of FedEx losing your package.

I recently had part of an expensive order go missing at a FedEx hub, and iDealwine's U.S. account manager was responsive and attentive throughout the entire process of trying to locate the package / later reporting the loss. He made clear how seriously the company takes these mistakes by the shipper, and he ensured I got a full refund for the missing wine after a brief review.

At the end of the day, this is a website largely geared toward serious collectors and those seeking bottles they cannot find anywhere else. Thus, it takes a bit more time and money to get your wine, but I always feel completely secure and satisfied when doing so. Based on my experiences, I would recommend iDealwine without hesitation.

I have executed multiple large shipments to the US and the communication, packaging and post shipment customer service is excellent.

On my most recent shipment 1 of the 8 cases shipped was lost by FedEx. Roman, was there with me every step of the way to deal with the brutal FedEx lost package process. At the end of the day FedEx recognized they lost the package and I was fully reimbursed for the loss. Roman response time and constant communication throughout the process reassured me that IDealwine was going to make things right.

Always tremendous service and an absolutely excellent selection of very rare wines!

I bought two bottles of wine as a gift. I carefully reviewed the photos and descriptions before making my purchase. A week later, I received the shipment with the wines. Unfortunately, one of the bottles arrived without any label. I don’t understand how this could happen, especially since Idealwine.com claims to thoroughly inspect the wines before shipping. Sadly, it’s now too late to buy another Christmas gift. I strongly advise against using this site.

After writing this review, the shop staff came forward. I exchanged 8 messages with them and lost a ton of time. When I finally agreed to accept a voucher in exchange for the delivery of a defective item, they stopped hearing from me. I lost money and a lot of time.

The bidding process is rather easy. However, there are many bugs within the website that can be irritating sometimes.

What would be the best in my humble opinion in term of improvement would be the accuracy of wine name. Often, the listed wines and the names do not match. In addition, some wines were bid many times but we cannot find the bid history at all.

One more point would be the sequence of the name of each wine. Perhaps the following sequence would make more sense for bidding to glance through: 1) name of the domaine/producer 2) appellation and 3) specific name of the wine.
