The company are very trustworthy

The company are very trustworthy; honest in their diagnosis of computer issues and are extremely helpful in enabling you to obtain what is needed in addition to getting your computer up and running again as I needed a new monitor with the correct cables which I purchased from Amazon arriving the next day. The company proceeded to check my computer for further issues and cleaned up a very dusty contraption. They are professional helpful polite and extremely efficient and are reasonably priced.

Laptop upgrade - Highly recommend

I recently used this company to upgrade my old laptop. The owner, Paul, answered every question I had, of which I had a lot of them, patiently and was honest about my options allowing me to make up my own mind about whether I should go ahead and, if so, to what extent. I am beyond pleased with the outcome. Highly recommend.

My iPhone fixed

Apple iPhones aren't iFixTech's speciality, but they certainly fixed mine... and very quickly. Instead of the expensive repair I was expecting I was extremely pleased to receive a very modest invoice. Well done. Excellent service.

Ebay Scammer

Bought an hp workstation on ebay. He never sent it would not reply and blocked a refund out of spite. Checked him out. He runs two shops and the ebay site but not registered for VAT. Has not filed a confirmation statement at companies house and does not display company information. He is not to be trusted. If he has ripped you off you are not alone. He is a complete A-hole.

And a liar. I am not the only one this prize A-hole has ripped off and lied to. If you want to know where he lives I know his address.

So now, 5th November 2023, he says he has tried to do a refund but ebay will not let him. But as the item is not marked as despatched and I have made a request he can do just that so is now lying to gain a pecuniary advantage and so committing an offence under the Theft Act 1968. He has made this admission via ebay so I am reporting him to the Police for it now. I will also issue a summons against him to his home address which I will publish here soon.

He clearly thinks he is clever. Let’s see how long that lasts.

Hello, my name is Paul and I am the owner of iFixTech Ltd and a part owner of iFixTech Wallisdown Ltd with who your review is regarding.

I will forward your info to the owner of the Wallisdown store and they will contact eBay to find out what's going on. As you are dealing with the Wallisdown store directly via eBay I recommend speaking to the store directly on Monday.

So that I can follow up with the store, when did you order the HP Desktop. I am not an eBay user but I am sure eBay refunds quickly and sure it will be settled promptly for you as eBay dispute system is designed to favour the buyer. I am aware of some courier issues leaving items uncollected and this is probably related.

As you are directly threatening my family home I have no incentive to help you out further here. But if you want to contact me directly, please visit the website, message via the contact page and mark your message FAO Paul Betteridge. If your message is reasonable and non-threatening I will of course help you out and get this resolved quickly for you as I speak to the store owners and managers on a daily basis and will get to the bottom of this.

Complete and utter incompetence!

One of the most incompetent companies I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I sent in a graphics card for repair back in MARCH, yes you read that right, MARCH!! It is now midway through September, they still have not sent the graphics card back to me.

iFixTech received the card on March 9th and replied with the following email:

"Hi received MSI suprim 3090ti,
You will hear back within 2 week, feel free to get in touch at any time,

Kind regards
Will"

A long chain of emails ensued in which they determined they could not fix the card and sent it off to another company. This took them until August!! The other company then fixed the card in the space of several weeks and shipped it back to iFixTech, where it has been sitting for over a week and a half. They have been paid in full, promptly, and are holding my graphics card for literally no reason other than the fact that they can't be bothered to ship it.

This entire ordeal has been going on for 7 months now, and its honestly an absolute disgrace. I cannot believe they are still in business with this level of negligence. I have been nothing but polite with iFixTech and am now entirely fed up with their non-existent service and constant excuses.

If I ever receive this graphics card I will update this review. I am convinced I will never see this graphics card again.

Very bad service

I took my iPad to have the screen replaced. First of all the man argued with how old it was. Then he spoke to someone, quoted a price. I left it. He phoned me, told me I had been right that it was only 2yrs old and it was going to cost more. I said ok. It went to Wallisdown, I heard no more 2weeks later I phoned them they were still waiting for the new screen. I ask them to return it to me without fixing. A week later it still hasn’t come back to Broadstone.
Date taken in 19/6. Estimated repair 27/6
Date now 14/7 might get it back unfixed 17/6
The device still worked.

IPad repair of usb-c port as not…

IPad repair of usb-c port as not charging. Took a long time, understood due to postal strikes and needing parts, told repaired when collected but same fault and not at all fixed. Gave no pressure, no hassle and was assured repair done. Would not recommend and would not have been bothered by wait if repair had been done as stated.

I believe if Fixtech is a trade name used by several businesses.I’ve had a very bad experience with this company based in Manchester, and a store at Freeport Talke, Stoke on Trent.
I’m told there is a store in `Dorset my complaint has nothing to do with this store.

Thank you for your new 5 star review. To confirm, the firms up north are totally unrelated to iFixTech.com and have no relation with these stores what-so-ever. They just stole our name to ride along our excellent reputation. We are small local run company in Dorset and 1 star reviews really hurt small businesses like mine and I would be really grateful if your wife (Carole) and yourself can delete the 1 star reviews as they do not reflect my business. You can call me on 01202 805 750 directly to discuss if preferred. I have flagged them with Trustpilot and hopefully this can be resolved asap to avoid any loss of business for us who work really hard to ensure every customer is 100% happy down here in Dorset! Thank you, much appreciated.

Data Recovery and New PC Set-up

My 8 year old PC expired. Took it in - iFixTech investigated and found it beyond economical repair. I bought a new PC (from Currys) and took it in. iFT recovered all the data from the old hard drive and also set up the new machine for me (including migrating my email from POP3 to IMap so I can now access my email on my phone). All this done in just 3 days from first going in. Excellent service.

I paid for a Diagnostic service and did not get a diagnosis or refund

Please note, I write this review only after making every attempt to contact 'Paul' by Email, contact form and by phone. I was told by his business partner Will, that he worked from home, was aware I wanted to speak to him and despite this, I was not called.
So after fair opportunity given, and after refusal to speak to me, I have no choice but to share my experience:

I sent iFixTech Wallisdown a graphics a graphics card for diagnosis, on the website it states as follows:

Diagnose your graphics card for failure, dry joints and faults. Contact you with a fixed-price quote to proceed with the repair.

I paid for diagnosis, plus expedited fee, total paid for diagnosis was £84.98

After a few days, 'Will' contacted me to say there was nothing wrong with the card, it was obvious he had done next to nothing to it, so I pressed him to have a closer look. He then tested it further and found, oh yes, it is actually broken... a month later (IFixTech's website states: 'We normally aim to diagnose and repair within 3-10 business days') and after numerous emails which were mostly ignored or given the most brief and undescriptive responses, I was informed by 'Will' that he could not diagnose or fix my card. His response:

''I further tested the card this was found not to be the fault. Something intermittent like this cannot be a component repair as sometimes it works and others not so in this case I don't think we are able to fix the card and I will be posting it back to you. Likely GPU or memory.''

What I received was not a diagnosis, it was a guess, mixed with gibberish, hardly the professional diagnosis using a 'in house built test harness' as was advertised, as you can clearly see above but this is not my main complaint.

Looking at other reviews here, Paul appears to be a reasonable person, open to discuss issues, he was today however uncontactable and instead I was left to liase with 'Will'. Will is an angry young man (probably early 20's late teens), he states he is Paul's business partner, but unlike the more mature Paul (at least appears to be), Will has no sense of manners or customer service, he swore at me and threatened me legally, in case I left a negative review, well here it is Will : )

After slamming the phone down on me, I called Will back and Will told me that what I paid for was a 'non refundable, diagnostic service', where I am paying for the process of diagnosis and not an actual diagnosis... Make up your own minds whether you agree with Will on this.. I wanted to quote his own websites description, that it does not state this in the T&C's but he was too busy telling me he didn't 'give a s**t' and that I can F off, charming Will...

So currently I am minus a GPU, I am minus £89.99 and I am none the wiser as to what was wrong with it. I tried to talk in a a mature way to Will but all I got was a very hostile response.

I think sensible people reading my review, can make up their own minds what to do. I tried to give an analogy that if I took my car to a garage for repair, they had it for a month and then gave it back with a huge bill unrepaired, it would not be acceptable but I could not get Will to understand the parallels.

I had called them to give them an opportunity to resolve this prior to any review and/or action via moneyclaim, in their T&C's it states: 'in the unlikely event there is anything you are not completely satisfied with, please contact us as soon as you can in order that we can rectify any problems as soon as possible.'
I did as was requested and you can see here what the response was, Will was abundantly clear, I was not due and will not receive any refund, he feels his diagnostic services that did not diagnose the fault were worth the nearly £90 I paid, needless to say, I wont be using this service again as I did not get what I paid for, the expedited diagnosis took a month to perform as Will, by his own admission, was fixing other peoples GPU's, Will's communication throughout was poor, he either did not answer or was so vague or brief as to provide an unreasonable response. When approached in a reasonable manner to resolve my complaint Will responded with threats and swearing.

From their website:

'GPOU repair service will help get your GPU working again.'

Really.......they couldn't even spell it right

Replaced iPhone battery at Freeport.

Replaced iPhone battery for me but the phone battery is much worse and switches off at 17 percent charged. I am charging 2 x daily now. On settings it is still showing 85 per cent maximum battery capacity from the replaced battery. No reply from Freeport Store to emails or messages on website??? Disappointed.

Hi Angela, I think you have the wrong business. We are the original iFixTech store located in Poole, Dorset, and are in no way associated with the Freeport business. We've been around for some years and have a lot of businesses use similar and misleading names. The company you want is called iFixTek or similar. As a small local business in Dorset would appreciate you removing your review or adjusting it to 5 stars ;) as negative reviews can hurts our hard working business.

Thank you

Paul (owner of iFixTech.com)

P.s. I always reply to every customer email! :)
