I've purchased twice from Koop (~12 pieces) and have been VERY happy with my purchases - going off the brand, material, and photos - I can generally gauge if a piece will work for me and so far my clothes have been received in excellent to great condition (some brand new with tags!). It does take some time to shift through their online inventory but the selection is wide and random enough to find some gems! I've honestly scored quite a few items great for the office (inc. good quality shirt dresses), casual wear (inc. white overalls which are super trendy rn), active wear (a beautiful purple windbreaker that I now wear regularly), and even fancy wear (a plain white Reformation maxi with tags!) which all fit me perfectly well. Sometimes there are sizing & expected colour inconsistencies but Koop has a great return policy so it was easy to return a few pieces I ended up not liking. Listing photos could use some work to make the clothes look more polished/attractive/accurate but I do understand this is an online thrift store and posting items is time-consuming, especially for one-off items! They ship out orders pretty quickly, in my experience, within a week via Canada Post. Note that my review is as a buyer - I've sent a couple of Clean Out Kits and I am still patiently waiting for them to be posted for sale (it's been ~2 months since I sent the first kit).

Been a buyer and a seller for a couple of months, and very happy about the whole process! Delay for items to arrive on the website is a bit long, but when it's there the sales starts flowing. Great to have that extra cas

I’ve purchased from Koop twice, and the first time was maybe a 5/10 experience. I received a very shrunken American Eagle dress with a stain on the front that did not come out after washing. There was no mention of this in the listing at all. It was also sort of a bluish colour instead of being white/cream as if it was washed with coloured laundry by the previous owner, so the photos on Koop did not look like what I actually got. (I buy second hand all the time and don’t expect used items to be perfect by any means! But I do expect a company to be more transparent about the actual quality of clothing they are selling). Along with this first order I received a children’s dress that was tagged as a women’s medium on the website. It was very obviously a children's H&M dress and I would have known this had there was a photo included of the tag, but there wasn’t. After contacting a representative, I received a 15% discount code off my next order, which was nice, but I could’ve gotten a 20% code randomly on the site while browsing so it wasn’t the best deal in my opinion. Also they didn’t let me use the discount code on my second order, which was a mystery box.
My biggest issue with Koop so far is the lack of photos and sparse descriptions—they do not include close-ups of the garments and do not check over flaws very well. I have had a much better buying experience on reselling platforms like Vinted or Poshmark, that are more professional, than I have with this company.
My second and most recent time purchasing from Koop was the $50 mystery box with brands you can choose yourself. Out of all the brands I chose I got maybe one or two out of 10 items, and the clothing did not smell very nice. I also received three pairs of black stretchy pants that looked the same, so variation was not the best. I have my doubts with mystery boxes of any kind, but I was really disappointed because I could find better items at my local thrift store for much less money than I spent + taxes/fees from buying online.
In short, save your money and browse other reselling platforms for sellers with good reviews—check out a local thrift shop, or hold a clothing swap with friends/host one in your community if you want to refresh your wardrobe—and always be wary of mystery boxes!

Great experience!
I bought 7 pairs of different bottoms. I received a refund for one of the pairs but I received the rest in a timely manner and they were all great condition and fit perfectly.
I will definitely shop again!

Definitely not worth it to send them your clothes to sell. Not only is customer service bad but they will also only end up paying you a couple dollars an item even for high-quality brand name items new with tags. Much better option to just sell on Poshmark, your local consignment store, or just donate. Not worth the hassle and kind of scammy as I asked for items returned and they didn't return them all until I notified and pestered them about it. Never mind when the items were returned they were dusty and super wrinkled - if this is how they're treating their merchandise wouldn't want to be buying anything from them! Turns out they will lend your items to "influencers" without paying you or letting you know - so your items don't even end up posted on the site.
*To respond to their reply and provide more clarity - after sending my clothes in January in the mail they were posted on March 8th 2022, I requested my items be returned on June 5th (shortly before the full 90 day posting period) - which they replied they would process the upcoming week. The returned items arrived to me on July 3rd missing 3 items. So not sure how my items were sent out to influencers in July when they had already been requested to be returned the month prior. Just make sure you keep an inventory of what you send (and photo proof just in case - although this was not needed as it was in their system) *

They have a great streamlined process that's super easy to use. Photos posted of the items are very informative and accurate. So nice to be able to do something good for the environment when switching up your wardrobe!

So easy to ship my goods to koop (for free!) and almost every thing I sent was accepted and listed. Now, waiting on sales is lengthy, but just sold first 3 items this month and I'm waiting on my payout. Easy peasy so far.

First I shopped KOOP, then I ordered a closet clearout kit! Then I shopped again.. & WILL AGAIN!
As a shopper: My experience has been positive-30% off my first order was wonderful! KOOP is a newer company and personally I have found that their communication/customer service has been top notch. My orders were shipped out promptly & emails were responded to in a timely manner.
Closet Clean Out Kit: I recommend keeping track of your tracking number for your closet clean out kit to ensure it has arrived at KOOP. Be prepared for it to take months to be processed & you'll receive an email with all your items/what they were priced at etc. So long as you're in no rush this is a great service to ship it off and wait for the money to roll in...but it'll be a wait.
Overall-I believe Koop has all the right "stuff" and appreciate their communication via email to address any concerns. I'll be shopping again for sure.

I use the Koop site as a buyer and a seller. I am very happy with everything I've bought from them, surprise boxes and apparel. I've been impressed with the quality of my purchases. Surprise boxes have been awesome. I also ordered a clean out kit, mailed it in and am happy to say that today I received word that one of my items sold. Hooray. Kudos to ilovekoop.

Received clean out kit and sent it in. Process was very easy. 1 item sold so far. Would recommend as a seller, haven’t purchased yet, so can’t comment on the buying aspect.

I have had a very positive experience with Koop so far - both as a buyer and as a seller! I purchased a Surprise Box, which had a few great items, including two that were new with tags. I sent in a big box of items a few months ago and so far two things have sold. The customer services representatives have always been very responsive to my emails. Overall, I'm pretty happy!

Received my first payouts today, made $100 in one month, not too bad for old clothes!

They scam sellers by giving no payout and saying "client bought merchandise with big discount coupon code", and payout was ZERO. They created new fake reviews after this review was posted - many of the “reviewers” just have first name and only one review. It is possible for anyone with any email account (a just recently created one would do) to post a review. I also never received any payout but they claim I did, which confirms me as a real user. Be aware of this fraud.
