Received outstanding customer service…

Received outstanding customer service from 'Alice'.
Nothing was too much trouble for her, and although my query took some time to rectify (mainly due to shipping circumstances) I was completely confident that Alice would take control of the situation and see it through.

Order never recieved.

I ordered a clock at the start of January and was told it had been dispatched on the 14th, the clock didn't appear and when I chased I was told to give it a few more days. It didn't turn up and the courier was blamed and a new one sent out, which also didnt turn up. When I emailed this was not explained but I was told the clock would be dispatched on 23rd March, I wanted it so I waited, surprise, surprise it didnt get dispatched and yet again no communication. When I chased again it was going to be dispatched on the 30th. Here I am a week later, no clock and no response to my emails. If you have a chance to buy elsewhere do, avoid at all costs.

Worth the wait

Absolutely love my lamp great quality and just as seen on website, it was just a little frustrating as the delivery was over 4 weeks however I couldn’t fault the communication as I always received a prompt reply to my emails

POOR SERVICE

FINALLY ARRIVED. My order eventually arrived after 2 months with no accurate indication of when it will arrive, empty promises from 'customer service email'. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND using this site. Little or no communication from them, no commitment to deadlines, clearly has a poor relationship with their fulfilment company, NO CONTACT NUMBER. I even warned their customer service 7 days prior that I would leave a poor review if I didn't get an update on my order, I was told to wait patiently until then and they STILL couldn't get it together. They have been pretty useless.

However! The drawers I purchased are actually very nice looking, the only reason why there's an additional star.

Best price and great customer service

Initial customer service was excellent with an excellent price (I ordered a dining table and they were bar far the best price for the same item). There is a bit of confusion at the moment regarding delivery dates as I was initially advised of April but an advisor is saying May so just waiting on a reply. Should all be clarified soon and I'm looking forward to receiving my table. Hopefully in time for Easter. To update, I heard back from and she apologised and even offered me a discount which was a really nice gesture.

Truly awful / zero communications

Truly awful / zero communications. Unexplained delays in delivering the furniture I ordered which never materialised 3 months later. When I asked to cancel the order and be refunded I was told that it would be processed within 5 working days and yet no refund has materialised. I will be forced to take it up with my credit card company.

Edit: since posting my review I have now been refunded in full which is a relief. However, I would not recommend this company and will not be using them in the future. Their communications were inadequate and delays were unexplained.

Problems but dealt with satisfactorily

Unfortunately the item we ordered was delayed and then became unavailable - the refund wasn't issued within the time initially stated but when I chased it it was then issued immediately. Would return to use this site.

Wouldn’t recommend

Absolutely no communication from this company regarding my order, I had to get in touch with them and was then given a delivery date but the item didn’t arrive with no explanation whatsoever, this happened twice. The third time my order finally arrived after three months, I knew on ordering there would be a wait but not this long. Wouldn’t recommend which is a shame because they have some nice items.

I ordered a really nice gold honeycomb…

I ordered a really nice gold honeycomb lamp. Unfortunately however it took 4 months to arrive! Whilst I was told to expect delays when I ordered it, there was no ongoing communication from I love retro. I thought perhaps I’d wait an extra fortnight or something. I had to send around six emails over the months asking for a likely arrival date as it seemed to have been forgotten. Every prompt reply would allude to an upcoming rough date that just didn’t materialise which was very frustrating.
Then one day it just showed up. It really is lovely and I’m glad I waited.
Added later: prompt customer service who perhaps didn’t have control over the long delay.

I love these lamps

I love these lamps, not too tricky to put together but glad there were two pairs of hand available.
Knocked a star off as was expecting the oak legs to be made of wood.... not metal as per what arrived. They do look like wood from a distance and are very sturdy but not as advertised.

Ps (not taken into review rating) the customer service for this site was non existent. I emailed at least twice requesting some details of dispatch and delivery dates and had no reply at all. They arrived several weeks later than initially stated and after spending a lot of money on them, i was disappointed with the service. Products have made up for this but i wouldn't use the company again.

Ridiculous company

Ridiculous company. Paid for something (nearly £300 may I add) it said on the website it was in stock. So I waited for the delivery, nothing. So I emailed them on 24th of Feb, they then said there was a delay and it wouldn't be on stock until the end of April and how did I wish to proceed? On the same day I requested a full refund which they said was fine and it would be back with me in 3 - 5 days.... well here we are a month later and still no refund. I emailed them again over a week ago and they assured me it would be with me at the end of that week. Disgusting.

Roper Collection bedroom furniture

Alice was particularly helpful in dealing with delays that had occurred due to events outside her control. Her prompt responses and friendly approach made it a pleasure to do business with this firm and I am delighted with the result. I would have no hesitation in recommending this firm to others.

Kept fully informed

There were some understandable delays due to Covid and Brexit however Alice kept me fully informed and couldn’t have been more helpful.
The console table I ordered arrived in perfect condition and was just as described.
I wouldn’t hesitate to buy from this company again and would happily recommend them to others.

Customer Services needs improvement

I had a delay to the delivery date of my order, and Sod's law it finally became available just as I was due to be away. Alice in customer services assured me that delivery would not take place whilst I was away, but alas, delivery was attempted the day before my return. They need to be better organised.
