Order from November 2021

I have purchased over £500 worth of furniture since November 2021, contacted the company and got a reply 2 days later with an apology and got told it will be delayed till April so I though ok I will wait and was told I will received 10% compensation this has not happened and not heard anything about it. So I contact this company again on Thursday 10/3/22 and was not told it has been delayed again by world events till end of July no update of this from the Company had to find out myself again and when I asked about the compensation no mention from the company at all about it. I have told them now if I do not receive my items by April when I was promised I will be requesting full refund this is absolutely disgusting service how can you not let people know about this. How hard is it to email people and say delay to your order. Disgraceful service.

Slow response and poor courier service

The furniture I received was great, but sadly response times and lack of communication lets it down.
I ordered furniture for a design project on the 9th of January. I realized I needed to change the order and tried to contact the company on the morning of the 11th. As I couldn't find a phone number I sent an email. I received a response late in the day on the 12th but as the delivery times had been moving back and I had a deadline for the project I went ahead and ordered the piece of furniture I needed. I then received a response and my order was changed so I had an extra piece on order. I then received a response 3 days later asking to confirm my order, which I did. Then a week later I was told it was too late to cancel the items I didn't need and to reject the unwanted items when they arrived. The date of delivery the courier wouldn't let me do that. I informed iloveretro and was told that day they would chase. From there it has been sometimes over a week delay for a response and I get asked what days I am available and I respond and yet over a month later these boxes are still sat clogging up my entry. A courier was due to collect them yesterday but I never received any contact from a courier. I contacted iloveretro again and received a response asking if I "had still not heard anything". I didn't receive any response as to why they didn't collect or a new collection date. After a month of trying to get this collection and refund I am frustrated and while I was hoping this would be a new company with unique pieces I could rely on sadly the unreliable service means I wouldn't use this company again. I can appreciate staff shortages and covid can delay things and cause disruption, but this lack of service is beyond reasonable for these challenges. Had there been a phone number (and if there is make it visible) I could have avoided the whole problem and they would have received a positive review.

We are pleased that the quality of your items is up to scratch, that is great to hear.
In relation to the initial order as per your request we did update your first order to include two identical items but simultaneously you also then placed another order on the site for the same item totalling three items - this seems to have caused the initial confusion over what exactly was required. Once the items have been despatched we are putting our faith in the couriers that a rejected delivery will be honoured and returned to us. In regards to your collection it is most frustrating it has taken such a long time for a courier to collect the large item from you and for that we apologise. We have been let down a couple of times including yesterday on a collection and have taken this up with our provider as a priority. We can assure you now a new collection is booked in with an alternative courier for Monday 28th Feb and we expect this to be successfully completed so we can finally put this matter to bed.

Ordered a lamp (ORDER ILR3398)

Ordered a lamp, arrived as predicted but was damaged. Immediately sent photos and got a response the next day day saying a replacement would be requested and posted out plus arrangements made for the damaged one to be returned. A week later I have heard nothing despite a chasing email. Not impressed and suggest you avoid.
UPDATE: an hour after posting this review I get a response! Apparently my replacement is being dispatched on Monday. Hopefully we will get there in the end.

Ordered 4 dining chairs which advised…

Ordered 4 dining chairs which advised next week delivery which at one point they wanted to deliver items August until I stood firm and asked for refund. Chairs arrived damaged and chipped and sadly only 3 of the holes are lined up properly.
Poor workmanship and shocking customer service! Please avoid using this so called company.
I’ve been asked to arrange chairs for full refund but sadly I haven’t got the time to post x4 chairs weighing (15kg per box ) which I got advised full refund will be settled and pick up for items! No you have gone so quite

This really isn’t a fair or accurate review. We’ve always worked towards a February delivery. The alignment of the chair legs with the chairs has been rectified with some simple instructions emailed to you and we haven’t been given an opportunity to rectify any of the in-transit damages that we have been notified about late this afternoon.
Compounding this we have had to put up with two aggressive and abusive phone calls from you in recent days which is completely unacceptable.
We will collect the items as requested and your refund will be processed once the items have successfully been checked back into our warehouse, as per our T&Cs.
Please note: we are not expecting you to return the items we will be collecting at our own expense. You have received this communication from PayPal as even though we have already agreed to the collection you disputed the payment on PayPal and this is their standard returns procedure. We will be in touch shortly with available collection dates.

Where is my order, when will you talk to me?!

I ordered a chest for £799 early November 2021. All I received was a confirmation of order. Eventually after some weeks I enquired. I received non apologetic, non committal email back, with a promise of January delivery. Another enquiry and an email with A promise of 18 February dispatch. Since then nothing!
This company really needs to consider their customers who spend lots of money with them and get no info!
Glad to read the product is good, but will it ever arrive? Very unhappy!

Goods never arrived, communication shut down... Like others I ordered a table with a…

Like other 1* reviews I ordered a table with a long delivery date. Weeks after due date I tried to contact but no phone number or email address. Used their chat line and got a polite reply saying they would check with "the stock team" and get back to me the next day. After repeated emails and a request for a refund no response.

NO MONEY IN THEIR ACCOUNT TO PAY REFUNDS

After the horrible experience trying to buy a lamp and get a refund, i have now hit a problem with a PayPal refund from these people.
I have a refund pending over a week and a half cause they have sent an e echeck to PayPal as my refund but ut wont clear because there is a chance they have NO MONEY IN THIER ACCOUNT. Im stunned. I know have to wait another 4 days and if their babk doesnt clear the check Pay Pal will force a refund to me. Im livid. Im sure someone will come on now with a crappy response or excuse but instead just put £187 in your bank to clear your checks.You can make all the excuses you like but this is what it is. YOU SEND DODGY CHECKS THAT YOUR BANK WONT CLEAR. PAYPAL JUST TOLD ME

EDIT AFTER REPLY TO CRAP RESPONSE- PHONED PAYPAL AND YOUR E CHECK STILL HASNT CLEARED. YOUR BANK DECLINED

We processed your refund earlier in February in full. Because you disputed the payment this delayed matters further putting the funds on hold temporarily. There is absolutely no problem with your refund and funds being made available. The PayPal eCheque is a perfectly normal refund method approved by PayPal. We have shared the refund confirmation with you via direct message and whilst we can understand your frustration at a delay in your refund we are tied by the speeds our payment processors work.
We have now had formal written confirmation from PayPal that the funds have been released and that these may have gone back to a card or bank you used to pay. Depending on your bank provider that may take 1-5 working days to credit. We hope it is the shorter time frame listed here.

Poor service

Ordered a console table in February 2021 and I am yet to receive in February 2022. I have cancelled the order and requested a refund. 1 year for the delivery of a product is not acceptable in my opinion -very poor service.

Great product

Great product. Yes there were issues around delivery and communications, however the team worked hard to resolve these, with the delivery issue being a 3rd party. With the planned enhancements to communications and based on individuals enthusiasm, this would have been 5 star
