I love Imperfect Foods. First of all, I can tailor my order or skip the week altogether. Easy. The quality has been excellent. The service is amazing. We have a snowstorm outside and the delivery just arrived. Life changing. I am serious.

I would 0 stars if possible. I started a subscription with Imperfect Foods and had a few issues that would make me advise against ordering from them.
Issue 1. My order was missing items. Because I used a coupon code in addition to purchases they wouldn't refund me the entire value of the items they forgot to include. I.e. $20 coupon on $100 order. They only refunded me $0.80 for a $5 item that was forgotten to be included in my box.
Issue 2. I cancelled my subscription after the negative above experience. A couple of weeks after I cancelled I got notice that they processed another order. I immediately reached out to customer service and they refused to cancel the pending order or issue a refund for their mistake.
Overall, very negative experience and I would not recommend. Buyer beware.

If I could give them 0 stars I would.
I decided to check out the service, and the only way to even view what products you might get is to add a credit card and sign up for the service. I was curious so I did. I decided I didn't want a box for a while and I would think about it. Three days ago, I received an email stating that my deadline to change an order was almost up. I decided I did NOT want the box, and I went through apparently all of the exit questions but one. By the way, this is an extremely manipulative practice companies do, but I've never seen it to this extent: they purposefully color the options in which you don't cancel the subscription when starting the cancellation process. I know the color of the options doesn't seem that big of a deal, but it positions people to choose that option based on past experiences. Anyways, I did not answer the last exit question, so apparently, my cancellation did not go through. In what world does it make sense that I answer at least three other questions confirming I want to cancel my order but it is not canceled because I assumed the process was done when they told me I would not receive the box. Because I did not fully cancel, my card was charged yesterday. Why didn't they email me two days ago? or even today? I didn't even know they charged me for this box until I saw my bank statement. I immediately checked and sure enough, my subscription was not canceled. After saying at least THREE times I wanted to cancel this order. Are you kidding me?! Then seven minutes after I cancel the subscription I get an email confirming the order. After I canceled. I called their customer service and the best they could do was say "so sorry" and offer a 50% refund. I am a broke college student who wanted to see if this service would be a cheap and easy way to get groceries so that $50 really hurt my bank account. It is ridiculous that they would not give me a full refund. Do not even glance at their website or they'll have your money somehow. I do not recommend it. Extremely awful experience.

Read the reviews. Listen to other people's pain. Don't make it your own. I absolutely loved Imperfect Foods. Their branded items are often better than what you find in local stores. So, what's the problem, right? Well, if you like rolling the dice every week and seeing what they happen to send you, even after you carefully went through your cart and "shopped," then this service is a fit for you! Congratulations. But, if you're not a fan of randomly canceled orders or randomly missing items (happens almost every time!), stay away. It's like this company raids local food banks and sees what it can get its hands on, but only AFTER you placed your order for items listed as in stock! In terms of savings, I can get more bang for my buck (by far) at my local Trader Joe's. It's a shame, really. I wanted to like this service. I DID like them when they were mostly reliable. But this company doesn't seem to have a clue as to how to scale a business. Their growth has destroyed the value added proposition of the service. Just not a fan of companies that chase profits at the expense of the very business model they promote.

You have to put all your info to even learn about it, and then they say you don’t get charged until you recieve and It is all a Lie!!! I didn’t finish with the sign up after reading, but they already had my personal info charged me 70.00 haven’t recieved anything even though I’m cancelled and the best is I will get a future credit when I sign back up for a service I have NEVER TRIED OUT!!!!!! They have terrible customer service and have their own file already at Better Business Bureau. Stay away from this business!!!

This service was ok. I liked the variety of things I could get. However some of the fruits and vegetables are a bit pricey. Delivery was on time. I also liked the fact I could tell them what not send us. It was a shock to suddenly get an email telling me that Imperfect Foods would no longer deliver to me. I don't see what the problem is. Both FedEx and UPS deliver to me and it's not like I live in the middle of a deserted island. However the email did state that if I should ever move to another area I should feel free to contact them to see if they deliver to a new address. At my age, the only place I would be moving into is a nursing home as I am too old to buy another house. I am very sad and this leaves me with being dependent on grocery stores at this time during the pandemic.

Doing commercials in my area and do not even deliver to South Florida/
Boynton Beach. Company really needs to understand marketing and how to target your audience because what they're doing now is 100% incorrect. Entered our ZIP Code on their website to possibly try them out and said hopefully coming soon. They either need a new web developer or do not do targeted commercials in areas where they do not deliver to and get customers hopes up. Sad

I has been ordering from Imperfect Foods for over a year now. I rarely eat meat but decided to make a rib roast for myself and a guest. After cooking the roast I ate one rib and then noticed it was full of MAGGOTS. I sent an email with photos and called to report what had happened. I explained how repulsive an experience it was and was assured a manager would get back to me Instead of being contacted by anyone I was refunded the price of the roast and a $15 credit to my account. NO ONE ever returned my phone call to apologize. What kind of business are they running. MAGGOTS and HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!

I was browsing the website today and got charged for an order that I did not authorize! I IMMEDIATELY reached out to cancel and was told that nothing could be done. I can see not being able to do anything if it's the day of the delivery but this was maybe two hours after I was on the site. Cancelling should not be an issue at that stage! I'm in the process of reporting this company for credit card fraud and have also filed a complaint with the BBB. I just want my money back and DO NOT want the order.

Don't order from this company, do your research before hand. You will be disappointed. They have HORRIBLE customer support.
These boxes are 10$ worth of veggies and your going to pay 80$ plus for them. You are better off going to a food bank, these vegetables won't last more than 3 days in the fridge before they wilt.
2.99 for a snack size bag of candy that is .99 at target.
Communication with them is absolutely horrid. No phone number to call (because they want to make it AS HARD AS POSSIBLE to get any assistance on canceling your order) or they are just to greedy to offer their customers actual assistance.
Website design is poor, to cancel they beg you for 3 screens to not cancel. If you misclick the wrong thing they will continue to charge you week after week when you already attempted multiple times to cancel.

I want to love this service, but out of my first 5 orders, only 2 of them were delivered as expected. My third order was completely canceled. I received less than half of my fourth order, and my fifth order had only 3 out of 25 items arrive. There's no communication about this until you see your receipt on delivery day, so there's nothing you can do about it. There's no communication on why this is happening or whether I can expect it to resolve. If every order is a lottery, it's not all that useful to me. I need a service I can rely on.

We LOVE Imperfect Foods!!! This service saves me SO MUCH TIME and our delivery crew is awesome! Product is always fresh and on time...this has been a game changer in our house!

Have gotten a few boxes from them, none of them really worth the subscription cost. Today, a box that we paid more than $20 for came with a standard 1 lb size bag of carrots and a tortilla pack with 6 "organic flour tortilla". And that's it. Just paper and air to fill the box. Stay away.

We've been with IF for a few months now and, having read the most recent reviews to date, I can attest that our experience is nearly identical. Their customer service is polite, and I have gotten refunds pretty painlessly when I've complained but all the rest: the unreliable deliveries; the substitutions; the quality of the food and the abrupt changes in services and delivery times with no warnings has become the norm for this company. I don't know who is running this outfit, but I suggest taking a pause, regrouping, and perhaps renaming before you try again. Great concept. Extremely poor delivery, no pun intended.

Sent $10 of fufu food for $80. Nasty customer service. Of course it's located in feces infested San Francisco.

Snooty attitude, very rude and belittling to their customers. Shocked.

I have been an imperfect foods subscriber for over a year, and today was the last straw. I ordered 21 items and received 4. No a box is not missing from my order, they only sent one tracking number for this week's delivery. So that means they somehow just didn't send the other 17 items that I ordered. Pretty crazy. I have ordered food from imperfect 63 times, and 29 times I had either missing or damaged items. They have no idea how to pack the boxes - cans are thrown on top of bread, packages split open, cold things aren't in the cold packs. In the summer they used less ice packs than in the winter. Doesn't make any sense. I really wanted to support this company, but I just can't do it anymore.

Used them for several months, the first order I received was someone else’s order. Not a single thing I ordered was in the box. I checked my receipt and not a single item matched what I ordered. I sent them a picture of what I received and my receipt, and I was refunded for the box.
I just thought they mixed up my box with someone else’s, no big deal.
The next few orders had a few things missing here and there but also not a big deal. Sometimes I’d receive a moldy item but I’d be refunded when I sent them a picture.
However, the reason I quit using them was the last order I received from them was foul, rotting, and covered in bugs. I received a ball of moldy, smelly, rotting berries that leaked all over the other food.
The odor was unbearable. You could see the leak from the outside of the box. The outside of the box was covered in flies because of the leak.
Nothing in the box could be saved.
I sent them multiple pictures of the moldy ball of mush in the Raspberry container and the damage it caused the other food it was packed with.
Instead of coming to any kind of reasonable solution or refund, they sent me “credit for just the berries” that was “good toward the next box.” I assure you, there was never going to be a ‘next box.’
I’ve been using a competitor for over a year now and have never had a single issue, so I know it’s not the mail or climate. It just feels like Imperfect Foods does not care about quality or their customers. Not worth the price.

They were great for a long while, but I feel like things have really changed over the last few months. First, they stopped picking up my boxes for re-use and when I asked about it they said it would never happen again. The next week when it wasn't picked up, they said they had discontinued that service...which was one of the reasons I had stayed with them. No notification--just dropped the program and didn't tell me. Today, 7 HOURS after my box usually arrives, I received a text saying it would be delivered 2 days late. Surely they knew this before that. We plan our meals around the food we order. I was informed of the 2-day delay AFTER dinner (the box usually arrives before noon). They have definite communication problems in their customer service. If the box was not packed and sent out, THAT'S when i should have been informed...not after the time I expected to eat the food. I do not want a response to this review, an apology, or an excuse. I want the service I pay for and timely communication when there is a change or problem. I am very understanding if I am informed of what's going on and treated with respect. Apologies are worthless and insultingly late.

When they decide what you eat, they send the most expensive worst quality stuff they want to get rid of. Then if you pick yourself, there isn't much if you have a specific wish list, but if you just want to try new stuff and hope for the best, take the risk. Some of the produce rotted within a day or two and I was shocked at how much packaging, bags, boxes, ice packs, and cooler material was wasted for a single box - not exactly in line with the idea of paying a little extra to save food waste while you fill a dumpster full of plastic for each delivery.
