Imperfect foods is awesome. I love the fact that this company gives a damn about the environment. Each customer saves on average, up to 400 pounds of food from being tossed in the landfill. Overall, they save millions of food each year from being trash. In a country where we waste 1/3 of the food we produce, a staggering figure, this is incredibly important to me. I love the variety of options that imperfect foods offers, they have unique products like pistachio milk and banana beans. We absolutely love perusing their options and selecting the wonderful organic fresh produce. Occasionally they even send extra, I assume when they have a surplus, because they will offer a great deal in those cases as well. One time, we got so many apples that we made apple pies and an entire large crockpot of apple butter. Our friends loved it. I love that imperfect foods encourages us to be more creative in the kitchen and pushes us to be evermore earth friendly in our practices. I can’t wait to go plastic free! I assume this company will eventually too. Wasteful packaging is a huge pet peeve of mine, and I love that imperfect foods uses only reusable and recyclable. The ice packs are also compostable. They will pick up your freezer bags and ice packs each week. My only constructive criticism is that occasionally an item is incorrect or missing. However, I do not agree with the poor reviews. When was the last time any of us went to the grocery store and didn’t forget something? And also didn’t end up leaving with a lot of snacks I didn’t plan to buy, but that’s another story. Occasionally we get some really weird shipping and packing issues, but as that is something that’s downstream from the top of the company, I would assume it’s something that they are already working on and aware of. Once we got a single bell pepper in a large box, and the other box we got was full. It seemed like maybe Yoko Ono snuck in and made an art project to me :) These things happen with any retailer, don’t believe the bad rap! The quality and the value of what you will get is so wonderful. You are saving the planet while saving yourself a trip to the store. What more could you want?

Over all the process is great. Being able to add/edit your weekly box, skipping a week without having to give a reason, and customer support responds pretty fast. If I have bad produce they easily refund it and its never a hassle.
I do wish more of the produce was priced per pound. The varying size in produce is fine, but I don't like paying the same amount for smaller items as I would for a regular size.
Ive also been able to try many different foods through Imperfect that I would have never found at the store.

I've been ordering from Imperfect Foods for about 2 years now and have had such a great experience! They have so many options for quality meats, produce, beverages, and staple items we keep at home. Highly recommend!

I love Imperfect Foods! I get to order such a wide variety of groceries, and lately have been able to add fresh flowers to each order which is so fun. I've been ordering with Imperfect for about 2 years, and everything has been incredible. In the few situations where something wasn't exactly right, like a missing item, their amazing customer care team was able to take care of me right away. Huge fan!

Imperfect has helped me to try lots of new foods and amazing recipes, and the customer service is personable and helpful! I appreciate the way the deliveries save me time, and a reminder on my phone makes sure I never miss my shopping window, whether I need and order or need to skip one.

I love Imperfect Foods! I have been a customer since 2017 and now buy everything from ugly produce to all of my staples from them. They've had some rough patches (especially during the pandemic), but their customer service is top notch, they are extremely responsive, and I love doing my shopping with people who care about our planet and our people.

I was a subscriber to Misfits Market for nearly 2 years. After countless missing or broken boxes, I switched to Imperfect Foods. Nearly a year later, I have no regrets! My deliveries arrive on time, in great shape, and I love have my packaging returned and reused.

I've been a customer for a few months now and once I got used to customizing during the shopping window, it's been really convenient. Snacks and produce arrive right to my door!

I've been a customer for over a year and I love it! Easy to use once you read the FAQ and their customer service is easy to access and super helpful. It's a subscription and a grape one

I'm obsessed with Imperfect Foods! I love that I get to customize my orders, their huge variety of options to choose from (including yummy branded items I can only get and find through them), and I LOVE that I'm fighting food waste with every order.
Occasionally I might get a piece of produce that is a bit too ripe, but their customer care team is always quick and kind to make it up to me. And following them on social media is fun because they give so many great food waste saving tips and tricks!
Honestly, Imperfect Foods has changed my life for the better, and I'm never going back!

Totally inconsistent in how much food you get for the money. One week you might get a decent size zucchini, next you get a tiny one for the same price! It a rip-off! Same with green beans, beets, etc. Basically, the only safe things to order are jars and cans. Otherwise you will be way overpaying and getting an almost non-existent quantity of product. Very disappointed.

I have ordered from them for several years. They have great cheese and fish. I have had good experiences with them and food is fresh. I can skip orders easily whenever I want. They are a good value. If I have occasionally been missing an item, I emailed and have always been reimbursed.

I can't speak for the actual food or the service, but from what I gathered by just creating an account I can tell they're really shady. Never placed an order but got charged because according to them they are a subscription service. Lol...Great, wish they would have told me that when I created the account! Terrible terrible terrible company with shady practices completely stay away.
And the main reason I never created an order was because the food you offer is way overpriced. Way overpriced! I can buy regular food for cheaper than what you guys offer. And if you're trying to make a cut on it being a delivery service, well you guys have a lot of problems ahead of you lol. Many are doing it way better than you, way more efficient, and way cheaper.
You are thieves, wolves in sheep's clothing. Demons and Satan's spawn.
Edit update- sorry for your pathetic response, but I have more ammo against you. You claim that you're saving food from waste, but the restaurant industry uses the same food you do. You have just found a ploy and a way to attempt to profit from people that don't know what's really going on out there. You really are the evil of this world, and you will burn in hell for it. Charging extra just to get people food? You are part of the problem and not the solution. You guys really suck bad.
As a matter of fact, I am about to come into some money, and I think I will start a movement against you. Shut you down. This is how much you suck. This is how much you are evil! I'm coming for you, good luck.

I tried to contact them just a few hours after the shopping window is closed to cancel my order but got no response. They only replied to me on the delivery day saying there is nothing they can do. What makes them think they can just randomly pick something for someone and make the person pay for it? All things came in their box are really not worth the price I paid for, even though I wasn't meant to order them in the first place. Lesson learnt and I will never use their service again.

IF I could do this with a minus, I would. I thought I would sign up for Imperfect Foods because I like the concept and had been moderately happy with Misfits Market. HOWEVER, on my first and only attempt at an order I discovered that Imp. Fds had "helpfully" added $50 worth of items to my cart that required that I remove one at a time. It did not set well with me so I cancelled the entire order. That was last week and since then I have been inundated with email "spammers" and advertisers of which I have zero interest. So BEWARE of Imperfect Foods both at the check out and afterward. I don't think it is worth the trouble.

I’ve only gotten one box so far and am disappointed. I had high hopes for this service as prices & shipping seemed reasonable and I loved the concept of not letting food go to waste. However, I was notified the day before my box was delivered that 3 items were no longer available and I wouldn’t be getting them. When I got my box, there was one item missing that I paid for. The nectarines were somehow rotting and rock hard at the same time, the blood oranges tasted disgusting, half the eggs were broken, and there was a PIECE OF RUBBER BAND in one of the bagged salads I was eating. Pretty hard to plan meals or make recipes when everything is so unreliable. Customer service did refund me for the missing item and broken eggs but it’s a hassle to even have to go through all that. I was curious if the issues I had were common so I looked up reviews… & wow this company seems hopeless. I’m unsure if I want to give this another go or not go through the trouble.

I NEVER authorized this purchase. I had to put in a card just to look at their page. Never "checked out" or anything. After seeing the crap they offer and their prices, I decided not to purchase. Today I come home to a box with 3 oranges, a bunch of wilted green onions and 2 lemons. Checked the bank acct and was charged $30+ for this! What the?!?! I will be reporting them to the BBB and disputing the charge in my account. This is ridiculous!
