I have recommended Wilderness Aware…
I have recommended Wilderness Aware Company for white water rafting for over 20 years to any of my family and friends who have wanted to enjoy Park or Chaffee county outdoor activities. When they ask why this company, I simply list, with no reservation: Safest company, best trained river staffs on the water, staffs are selected for their communication skills, positive outlook, abilities to quickly adjust to all kinds of situations both on and off the water, fast and efficient check-in, competitive pricing, and finally, all employees in this company, I believe, view themselves as key components to this company who are committed to the safety and success of each customer. When customer needs and wants are met, companies are successful by default. I have rafted with two other Colorado rafting companies over the years, Wilderness Aware provided a more satisfying experience every time.
Best rafting trip I have ever taken.

We did a multiday trip and the guides were awesome. They took great care of us, feed us really well and were fun to hang out with.

The trip on the river was awesome our assigned guide was fantastic. My 3-star review is because while being trained, transported etc. the other employees were very demeaning of folks from the midwest and other states not deeemed cool enough to live in. I would estimate most of ur guests are on holiday from those such places so training your employees to know their audience and appreciate all kinds would be my suggestion.

Safe and Fun Times on the River
Wilderness Aware Rafting provides a safe, fun and exciting river rafting experience. I took my 12 year old daughter who tried it for the first time and for a beginner she felt very at ease with the boat and the guide.
We were on the Browns Canyon river trip. This summer the water level was lower so it was a more technical trip (more rowing and manual turning). Ben our guide was great at teaching us the river paddling and river skills. We felt very at ease with his command of the river and his sense of humor. We were giggling most of the trip. No one fell out of the boat while descending some of the more trickier rapids.
Wilderness Aware Rafting company is very well organized and their facilities are great. Large clean changing rooms and they have extra clothing and equipment for rent like river shoes and long sleeve waterproof jackets. I though their prices were very reasonable.

I took my young daughter on a 1/2 day Browns River trip. She had never been rafting and I hadn't gone for years. We were quickly suited-up with safety gear and helmets and on our way to the river. Once we were in the raft our guide was quick and conscientious in talking to us about safety and about how to paddle and follow his lead. It was a great trip. We had a lot of fun and some real adventure and we felt safe and confident the entire time.
Too bad I can't give 6 stars
Too bad I can't give 6 stars. It was an excellent trip. The guides could not have made the experience any better. My highlight of the trip was actually using the technique described in the safety lecture about how to get out from under the raft when it flips. We all enjoyed becoming the swim team! I just went down the chattahoochee and ochee. Next trip, salt river with wilderness aware!
The water level may have been down
The water level may have been down, but not the fun factor. To a one, the guides were both professional and entertaining. Will definitely raft with Wilderness Aware again.

excellent and had an amazing adventure rafting the Arkansas River.
I had my second trip in early August…
I had my second trip in early August with Wilderness Aware Rafting. Both trips were outstanding in all regards - from helpfulness with reservations, with accommodating our group with a late day change, with the terrific headquarters building, with pre-trip orientation and equipment, and especially the fantastic guides. They made both trips exciting, fun, and personal. I would recommend Wilderness Aware to anyone looking for a terrific Rafting experience!
We have been to Wilderness Aware twice…
We have been to Wilderness Aware twice and were very happy with our trip each time. The trip this year was tough due to low water but that was surely not their fault. Everything they do in their performance of their jobs is very professional. We will be back.
Best experience ever
Best experience ever. Our guide was great! Definitely would do it again.
Rafting fun
Organized, nice clean facilities, and the trip was so much fun. Our guide Lucas was awesone
