$100 Master Card gift card was used 3 months before I opened the package. My claim was denied with no explanation 60+ days later.
I was given a $100 dollar Visa giftcard…
I was given a $100 dollar Visa giftcard 12/22. When I tried to use it it wouldn’t go through. I finally found out that the number had been stolen and used.
I called and reported this, I have sent the copies of gc, packaging, my drivers license , everything they have requested 3 times, I have called a dozen times in the past 9 months and I get the same run around.
I’ve asked them to please just tell me that this is a waste of time, that they are NOT a legitimate company and I should stop trying,
They are crooks and I’m guessing that the theft started before the card was purchased
purchased an American Express gift card…
purchased an American Express gift card at Stop and Shop in Middletown Ct.on 8/3/23 reported it lost or stolen the same day was given a case number. Today 8/28/23 after not hearing anything from American Express I called and was informed that someone had cashed the card on the same day that I reported it stolen and the case was closed. I had to refile another case and was told it could take up to 45 days to resolve. I always thought American express was a reliable company however they stand up for the thief and not the customer.
Never again!!
Purchased a $500 Vanilla Prepaid Visa at Walmart (+$7.95 fee)
Card was activated by Walmart, visible on receipt. Receipt matches card information.
Card kept declining so I called to check balance and was told by customer service that it wasn’t activated.
Sent in proof of purchase including receipt, picture of card and packaging. Was told to wait 30 business days, which is ridiculous in itself.
Called back today (35 business days from when they claim they received documentation), and was told it could take up to 90 business days for resolution. That is almost five months!!
They have been holding my funds hostage for four months now, so I contacted my lawyer.
Incomm is no better than the thieves who stole my card
I go a 100 dollar gift card as a present when i went to use it someone had already used it on amazon and the balance was zero. I called incomm and opened a investigation they denied it. I don't think they even investigate anything because they would say it wasnt my amazon account. They just make you wait 45 to 60 days to deny you and when you call them they get rude and hang up on you.
income should be short for incompetent
incomm should be short for incompetent. I bought a $300 gift card, and by the time we tried to use it less than 12 hours later, all the money was fraudulently spent in another town. We immediately filed a claim with incomm, but they continue to ask me to call back in 30 days then 30 business days then seven business days then 24 to 48 hours then another seven days all they’re doing is putting me off they don’t tell you the name of the supervisor they will not connect you to their supervisor either, all they say is they are escalating the case I think they’re the ones who probably stole the money and it is just fraud plain and simple. i hate it
This will blow your mind- THIEVES
This will blow your mind. Fraud is all i can say, they stole $500 from me. Ive now lost multiple cards because someone close to me is taking them or so I thought. Each time I have provided them the card number, receipt and have sent it within minutes of finding it was lost or stolen and never once have they replaced a card. They just tell me the card has a low balance and they can not replace it. Funny thing is i've now found two of the cards I thought were stolen and turns' out they fell in-between the car seat BOTH IN THEIR PACKAGES UNUSED. The last card had $500 on it and I called it in, sent email and froze it and still they say nope, but at the same time they cant provide me with any transaction data. So to test my theory they are lying I bought a new card, called it in stolen, provided the same information and turns out it had a low balance and can not replace it. To bad i have it in my hands and never took it out of the packaging so that's impossible. So now the card isn't active and available for use. I didn't think it through that well but i did prove to myself that they are stealing everyones money that is on any card lost or stolen.
No chance of gift card replacement without a receipt. For a *GIFT* card!
They refuse to replace a Vanilla Gift Card that had its available funds stolen through package tampering fraud without the receipt for the original purchase.
The receipt for a GIFT CARD received as a GIFT.
This company is more than happy to bank their $7 "purchase charge" and let their customers foot the bill for the rampant fraud occurring with their defective gift card products.
UPDATE 8/28/2023: If you are a victim of similar fraud and subsequent poor treatment by Vanilla/InComm, I suggest that you immediately submit a complaint to the Better Business Bureau for InComm. The company does seem responsive to such complaints; I was able to get a replacement card in a timely manner by using this method.
Scammed by Secure Spend
I received a Secure Spend gift card on July 8 and the balance was $350. Two weeks later, when I checked again the balance was .28 cents. Two suspicious transactions were on my card that wasn't mine. I called and they opened a dispute, but nothing yet. $350 is a lot of money for me. That company should be shut down and sued in court for all the people that they scammed. I think Secure Spend took my money, because when I checked the balance, their website was having a supposed technical glitch.
Bought a $100 Amazon gift card at a…
Bought a $100 Amazon gift card at a Walgreen's in Michigan on 7/19/23, and the code is invalid despite it being activated in store. Amazon says that it is up to the store to remedy the situation, the store says to call the number on the card, but there is no number on the card, and the name Incomm is printed so small, it is comical. The card itself gives no information about customer service.. When purchasing gift cards Walgreens and most other retailers have a no refund, no exchange policy, so buyer beware, they can print cards that will never be valid, and pocket the cash.. Sounds like fraud to me..
I'll give 0 if I could
I'll give 0 if I could, they are just scammer.
Bought 2 cards and only 1 is activated and opened a case but nothing happend after 2 months.
Not this one!!!
I purchased a card in April 2023 for $130 and did not even get a chance to use the card because it was used to make purchases online at Bestbuy for 2 giftcards to Shell for $50 each and Target online for 2 purchases for $8 and $25 which all was done in Quincy MA and I live in NC. I submitted a dispute only to be told that the gift card is like cash and you can not lodge a billing dispute on purchases made with the card. I think this company is a rip off and they have not heard the last from me!
sounds like a similar story
I purchased a $50 card from Target in Federal Way, WA on 05/11/23. The card was obscured and missing a number on the front 16 digits, completely scratched out the 3 digits on the back, and the magnetic strip was altered. I called in and tried to get help, they asked for my birthday, name, phone number, address. They created a ticket number for me and asked that I email over the receipt, the card front and back, and a photo of my ID??????????? With all the information I am sending over, that does not sound safe to me as every person I spoke with was from overseas.
Vanilla gift cards are (in my opinion) FRAUD
Vanilla gift cards are (in my opinion), the highest level of scammers! The FBI would probably recover millions of dollars if they went after this company. Customers buy a gift card and immediately notice that it’s defective (missing the required 16 digits), store won’t provide refund and speaking to vanilla gift card customer service is nearly impossible. When you finally figure out how to get connected to a person, you’re kept on hold forever, calls get “disconnected”, repeat , only to be told they can’t/won’t help you, but will give you a case number that you can follow up on in 30 days!! I will never buy another Vanilla gift card again in my life!
Or work with InComm affiliated company!
incomm email address ?
I read that a lot of you emailed the documents that Incomm requested. What email address did you use?????
because the email address they gave me is not valid......
We were ordering these cards for lower…
We were ordering these cards for lower income participants in our programs. One of the times, before Thanksgiving they forgot to process our cards even though we had paid in full and paid for rush treatment. The second incident the cards were misdelivered. It took them 5 1/2 months to refund the payment. The cards were never activated but we will not do business with them again.
They deserve leas than 0
They deserve leas than 0.
On March 28th I purchased a prepaid 500 dollar card and it was frauded when I purchased it. There was no way for me to know. I've been running after them to give me my 500$ back and nothing has been resolved on June 3rd. Scammers and thieves. All their customer service is in India and they keep telling me call back in 48 hours
I was given gift Vanlilla Gift card
I was given gift Vanlilla Gift card . When I opened envelope Card was already damaged. When I called consumer service , they said card money has been used at another location .they gave dispute number and asked me to mail info. This company is fraud. class action law suit should be filed. This company's rating should be less than zero.
If I could rate them a 0 star I would
If I could rate them a 0 star I would, total scam company with a revenue of over $390,000 PER EMPLOYEE Their CEO is a crook and this company needs to be shut down but obviously are paying off the right people in order to be in business still gross gross gross I have been in dispute since March 3rd 2023 only to be given the circle call back 24-48 business hours I am I have put your case in escalation with our back office for the 4th time after being told the 2nd time there was resolution
Purchased a $100 mastercard gift card…
Purchased a $100 mastercard gift card from Target in Cali on 03/10/23. On 03/22/23 the entire $100 gift card was used at a Target in South Carolina. Contacted Incomm, was hung up on, language barrier, asked to email my DL, receipt, and copy of both sides of card. DL??? Spoke to Target and when asked were does it notify the consumer that these cards are purchased at your own risk there response was the insert in the mastercard packaging your card comes in and in the fine print on their website. What a joke. Both companies need to be held responsible for this scam. Already reported to BBB. A class action must be completed again Target and Incomm.
