I'd like to think I'm pretty internet savvy, designing a few websites, looking after hosting, etc, but this site is one of the worst I've ever used. It's like going back to the screen of death days(,... See more

Indian e-visa on Government website
I have been trying to apply for an Indian e-visa for 6 days. After encountering all the problems with the website, I finally got the form submitted, only to receive a message stating that my passport PDF was unacceptable as it either didn’t download or was of unacceptable quality (message doesn’t say which)! I re-uploaded the passport and have received further messages saying that it is unacceptable and to re-upload the passport, however I am now unable to do so as a message is generated saying that the passport has been uploaded. I really don’t know where to go with this as the application is rejected if acceptable documents aren’t uploaded within 48 hours, but I can do no more. I have sent them 3 e-mails so far, with no response! This seems to be a case of ‘computer says….’ I’m an older lady and this is causing me so much stress and frustration. Any suggestions on where to go from here?
The website kept crashing while saving…
The website kept crashing while saving the forms. Applicant has to fill up the details again and again. I have spent more than 1 hour applying visa for two person. Process is still not over. Trying again and again. It's unbelievably bad experience.
unethical service standards. 72 hours does not mean 72 hours, its when they feel like
I applied for an e-visa on 16th October 2025 and received an email confirming that my application was being processed. However, after 72 hours, I still had not received my visa. During this time, I repeatedly checked my status online and sent six to seven emails to the official query address, only to receive the same automated response each time: “Your application is in progress.”
Despite clearly marking my case as urgent—as I had a flight booked—there was no genuine support or communication from anyone. It was impossible to speak to a real person or get any meaningful update. The lack of response and transparency caused immense stress and anxiety, especially given the reason for my travel.
Due to this delay, I missed my flight and still have no visa. This trip was meant for my mother’s funeral ceremony in India, a deeply personal and emotional moment I will now miss because of this system’s failure and lack of care.
The ongoing uncertainty and inability to speak with anyone have left me no choice but to book a physical appointment, adding even more difficulty and distress to an already painful situation.
Worst visa application process
Worst visa application process and website I've ever come across. Website crashes all the time, and doesn't give option to go back a step to make changes. You have to go all the way to the end then click on "modify" but it crashes many times before you could go to the end. It's been a frustrating and exhausting experience.
Applying for a visa can put you off from going to India
Thai website is ridiculous it took a couple of days to apply because it kept crashing and not saving
You have to have a lot of patience to do this. On the plus side it was 10 times cheaper than ivisa.com.
Absolutely dreadful
Absolutely dreadful! It really doesn’t warrant a single star! The whole process was an absolute nightmare. The system is totally inadequate and full of glitches. It literally took hours and repeated attempts to access the website at varying times over several days. Very very stressful.
Complete joke
Complete joke. The government needs to invest some money and fix the website. It's enough to put you off going
Hopeless online process to apply for e Visa for India
"This company" and my review refers only to the official India government website for e visa applications. I have been through this process so many times over the last 40+ years but with this online form I have spent the whole of this week and tens of hours trying and every day it crashes on me, fails to Save and Continue and is so frustrating I am now going to be forced to use one of these agencies.
Worst website I have ever come across
Worst website I have ever come across. Pages don’t load, all pages have errors, information is lost and had to retype everything all over again. It’s actually pathetic and a sad look for India.
Indian Visa Application using official site
I have attempted to use the official Indian Visa application website on line over 20 times now with no success.
As others have done too, I tried multiple browsers on various devices, and servers. This is the site linked to the U.K Government website so I wanted to be sure I went to an official link. The site crashes frequently, and does not always save all your data input, Eventually I was at the final stage with a pdf version of my passport under 300kb and still it will not accept and upload stating that the passport must be in pdf format. WHICH IT IS. Other sites seem to charge a lot of money. I do not know where to go now.
The website is so outdated
The website is so outdated, even when tried to upload images in the right format, i.e pdf or jpeg, it always ask to upload the right format. I tried multiple browsers and devices and every time there’s something new error. It’s a terrible website and a shame to have it as a countries face website.
appalling
appalling. timed out 22 times. what a dreadful first impression of India
Lost count how many times I have tried…
Lost count how many times I have tried to get a visa online website is slow and kicks you out. I will have to travel to London to get our visa as I have given up online.
horrible
Never seen something like that...
Simply dont go there.
Frustration and web page rejection for no reason.
I put one star because I cannot put…
I put one star because I cannot put zero. They took my money and the check visa status says that the payment has not been made. They stole my money!!!!
Really bad experience
Really bad experience. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to apply for visa through this service. I paid and went through their extremely volatile application process and got the answer ”Refused” with no clear explanation.
If I could give 0 stars that would be…
If I could give 0 stars that would be better since it is a sham, a fake and cost my husband over 3500 pounds as he couldn't travel due to their fake services. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE WHATEVER YOU DO!

CHARGED TWICE FOR VISA APPLICATION FEE
This was a very horrible experience for India is a country I have always wanted to visit and my excitement went out the window. I am faithful in writing reviews for everything. I will write several for this terrible experience. I am traveling to India and I had to apply for a Visitor Visa. The application asked for certain documents of identification both in jpg and pdf. One of my submissions wasn't clear so my application was rejected. The notice gives a phone number as well as email. I'm at work so I couldn't make the call so I submitted an emaiI with the application info and i asked how can i re-upload because that option is on the website. I received a response that I had to REAPPLY AND PAY ANOTHER APPLICATION FEE! I wasn't even given the option to re-upload. So for anyone applying PLEASE submit those documents correctly. This was very unfair and certainly not a good impression.

Well that is 48 hours I will never get…
Well that is 48 hours I will never get back of my life! What a waste of time, the site is so cumbersome and slow you’re ready to cancel you trip to India and book somewhere else completely!
Reading these reviews it’s clear that everyone else having same problems- can’t upload the passport photo! Contacted customer service, said it’s the browser or use a different device! I’ve tried three devices and two browsers! None of which worked! Come on! You must lose so much money because you can’t fix this issue!!!!! Fortunately found another company who were much more helpful and had a website that didn’t look and work like it was from 1998! Lol
