This official sit is the most incompetent site I have ever encountered. I have spent hours being bumped off & re-inputting data in order complete four application forms. The process is so stressful. O... See more

indianvisaonline.org.in is an Agency…
indianvisaonline.org.in is an Agency who will process your ETourist Visa with 100% extra charge fee from normal fee.
They are a fraudulent site
They are a fraudulent site. They charge 5 times to provide expedited service but all they are doing is passing the information to government site. Customer service is pathetic. BE AWARE OF THIS FRAUDULENT SITE..
Absolutely horrendous
Absolutely horrendous. Makes you want to never set foot in India. Don't believe the 24 hour phone and e-mail support. Called 17 times over 2 weeks and phone was answered once by a woman who said 'hmph'. When I asked her if it was Indian Visa Centre she said 'hmph' and hung up on me. Called back 6 times with no answer. Website doesn't work.
Beware of Indian visa online
Beware of Indian visa online --do not go to this site for appliication eVisa India Application Online | Official India eVisa Site
They charge 4 times the fees for service without telling prior providing service -- typical rip off and ridiculous --dangerous
we did visa that cost US $80 ($40x2 people ) we were charged Aus$380 and we are not told about service charge (4 times)plus there are other options like 5 yr visa
Unforgivingly soul-draining
Absolutely terrible website and application process. Confusing, yet strict. Unintuitive and misleading wording. This actually puts me off visiting India, I've applied for visas to many countries before and this has to be, by far, the worst experience ever.
Useless website and their helpdesk tried to cheat us
We tried getting a visa using this website, for some reason it all went wrong trying to get one for my wife, we couldn't get the site to let us do anything, it just kept telling us the visa was in progress but we couldn't upload a photo or anything.
We contacted the helpdesk on the site via email as there is no way I'm going to call India from the UK when I don't know what the call charges are.
They took 4 days to get back to us and said there was no application in the database, so I went back to the visa site and took various screenshots and sent this back to them, they then told me to go to indiaonlinevisa.org, we had a look at this but it's just a SCAM - they want you to pay an extra $100 on top of the $100 visa fee.
SO THE HELPDESK FOR THE OFFICIAL INDIAN GOVERNMENTVISA WEBSITE IS RUNNING A SCAM!!
We complained to the Indian High Commission in London and they said they knew about the scam but hadn't done anythng about it yet and they directed us to yet another website.
Sorry guys, I don't trust ANYONE in theeIndian High Commission anymore, as far as I'm concerned they are ALL involved in the scam, even the receptionist who answers their phone is about as helpful as a brick wall.
There are plenty of places in the world to visit, India has just been removed from my list of places to go.
Absolutely disastrous website!
This is probably the worst website I have ever used, period. For a wonderful country that prides itself in IT industry, it's a complete disaster! By far the worst part of visiting India is creating the visas: I got used to the endless bureaucracy and red tape by now, it's got its charms, too. But I will never get used to the crazy amount of errors and bad design on this site...
Just use the original Indian visa site
Just use the original Indian visa site. Indiavissonline try to look like the original visa site so you will use them and pay them $65 Per person in fee. I compleeted the aplication and it was first when I had to pay I realised it was not the original site. I do not feel comfortable that thet have all my informations, I have afsked them to delete them, they have not answered...
Whoever designed the india visa website…just awful
Whoever designed the india visa website ought to be locked up for a very long time indeed, it is an absolute disaster and expensive. If we had not already paid we would cancel our holiday. India you should be trully ashamed
No issues so far, seems to be official
This appears to be the official site to get your Indian eVisa. I have yet to fly but if I don't update this review in a few days time to complain, assume that the eVisa I have received worked without an issue!
The application process is quite simple but the form is certainly not the easiest to get through as it can ask some odd questions (which I suppose are relevant to some groups of people but not others).
Some odd (required to be answered) questions were asked, such as:
- it asked my religion (but did not offer an an answer of "atheist")
- asked for any identifying marks on my skin (such as tattoos, of which I have none)
- for a contact in India (such as a friend staying there or the hotel you plan to be at)
It required that I had to upload a picture of myself which was 2 inches by 2 inches in size. So I created the image, then when I got to the page to actually submit the image, it had changed its mind and said that I must upload a picture of at least size 300px by 300px.
It also required that I upload a picture of my passport, in PDF format (why not a JPG?), but most importantly, it had to be under 300KB. It's quite hard to get a good quality photo sent in PDF format while also trying to juggle file sizes. In the end I sent a slightly blurry (but still readable) PDF and there were no complications.
Getting an eVisa is far faster (they only took 24 hours to process my application) and easier than going to an embassy or whatever other options there are, but I feel that the process could still be made a lot easier.
DO not use indianvisaonline.gov for Visa
Ok I am loosing my mind now.
Applied for a visa on Saturday 18th and make the payment requested but the Status of my visa still appear to be "not-paid". I even called the Call center number on the website, the operatore was pretty rude and she hung up on me. tried to call numerous time and guess what..??? line is always busy now.
If you have to request a Visa to India, please never use this website
indianvisaonline.gov
