First - The Book Shadowlocked was Brilliant. No Spoilers, but the juxtaposition of the characters form the beginning of the book. and your perceptive of them and their motivations, vs. the end of the book was a real journey. I like when a book does is capable of surprising me and not reverting to usual tropes and this did NOT disappoint. I was given the book as a gift (as my friend ordered a copy, did not receive it, and Mr. moody send a 2nd copy. Of course the original showed up a few days later.) and the fact that Mr. Moody signed the book was another nice touch. Thanks for the great read and the great customer service.

Great book. Quick delivery

David Moody is one of the friendliest, more approachable authors I know. So many don't have time for their fans but he's gone above and beyond in what has been an incredibly tough year and, David, I thank you for that.

I first read the Autumn series more than a decade ago and I often return to them when I'm looking for comfort. That might sound strange looking for comfort in zombie horror fiction but, hell, I'm strange too! I think The Human Condition is my favourite of the Autumn series, just because it's written from the perspective of many different people and it leaves you wanting to know what happens to them. It's not easy to write zombie fiction and remain original but Moody has a twist I don't recall ever having come across before in this genre. I'm not giving spoilers!

Then you get the Hater series; bearing similarities to Stephen King's Cell it brings a refreshing UK vantage point to the breakdown of society. And maybe that's why I love this author so much. The majority of horror fiction comes from the US. To find a great author based in the UK, and basing the stories in places I've lived and know, makes him a personal favourite.
