No one use turbo tax debit card or account and routing system. It’s a scam. My girlfriend just had the worst experience ever. They will send you another card without approval. Your app will say you have this much money on your card, yet you can’t use it. Then when you call their customer service, they’re the most brain dead service reps I’ve ever spoken to. They don’t speak English and don’t understand anything. They will charge you $15 for another card, when you already have a card that they refuse to activate. The company is a scam. And are so terrible and are terrible people. Do not use this company to receive money on.

My experience with turbo tax customer service.
"So I had to call in again and had to wait 1.5 hours for a call back after the four hours I had already spent on this issue. During my 1.5 hour wait, I clicked through every box and finally found the field I needed to edit so I resolved the issue myself. I'm not over 6 hours into this problem of personally invested time. When I did finally receive a call back, I decided to take it even though I had resolved my own issue because I wanted to talk to the person about getting in touch with a manager about getting my $85 back. The woman told me she would send an email and that her manager was too busy to talk to me. I told her I would wait and that I was so furious already that I did not even want to revisit this nightmare of problem on another day. She refused three times in total to even try to help me get to someone would give me my $85 back. You all did absolutely nothing and tied up over 3 hours of my time on the phone. All I wanted was not pay you $85 for that privilege. I solved my own problem after three accountants with almost 50 years of experience couldn't figure out how to use the systems at their disposal to get my a software answer and/or at least get my $85 refunded."
Non-existent Customer Support
We have used Turbotax for many years but after this year we will never use it again. They have gotten increasingly less available to provide technical support for free and want you to pay to talk to a live person. There was an error in the program so a car we own was shown as sold. This prevented us from e-filing. Hours of aggravation trying to resolve it. DO NOT waste your money
I’ve used TurboTax for 9 years
I’ve used TurboTax for 9 years. For the second time in the last 3 years I’ve had either my identity or my wife’s identity stolen, or my kids’ identities stolen such that I can’t e-file. TurboTax is the likely culprit because I have not shared my kids’ information with any organization other than TurboTax. I give up.
Turbo Tax Live 2019 is REALLY BAD!
I have used Turbo Tax for well over a decade for expediency and have grown increasingly unhappy with the last minute up charges. The 2019 TurboTax Live product is the worst version I have ever experienced The IRS.Gov site has more clarity, and it all looks like I would need a tax attorney to explain it to me me. THAT'S HOW BAD. It has never taken me an entire night to do my taxes before ad I have less than zero confidence in the accuracy of my return. It omits the 1095-A HCA entries unless you perform a search and It looks like it is doubling my 1099-misc entires.
Extremely Rude Customer Service Representative
Tried to explain my situation and was repeatedly talked down to in a very demeaning way. When I asked to speak to a supervisor they ended the call...this was after waiting 1 hour for them to call me back because their system was overwhelmed with calls. LAST YEAR I WILL EVER USE THIS PRODUCT and I’ve been a customer for years. This is literally the first review I have ever felt the need to write in my entire life.

They will lure you in to their website with discounts but when you try to file all discounts disappear. They make excuses that it's not their fault but thats the business strategy it seems

I was on the phone today from Italy with Summer from Tennessee for a few hours. Unfortunately our call got disconnected and I thought she might call me back but she didn't. I just wanted to thank her for all that she did for me and to let her know that I finally was able to file our tax return :)
Turbo Tax Poor Customer Service, No Guarantee
You do not have to pay this fee though they prompt you multiple times throughout the filing process. You can use the software, print and send in your own return. They do not stand by their guarantee, software malfunctioned and cost me over $1,000 and they refused to refund my payment. Customer service representative advised me to lie to the IRS to cover up their mistake. Do not recommend this service to anyone.
Waste of time, service gets worse every year
Have been trying for months to e-file. If I was able to print, fax, or mail I would not be using an e-filing service. All because of one field that turbotax has broken and refuses to acknowledge. Go elsewhere if you are able.
July 3 Turbotax Horrible Customer Service passes the buck again.
July 3, 2020. I just talked with a Customer Service specialist who was absolutely not helpful. TTAX submitted my Federal Tax. I used a credit card via TTAX to pay for the Tax Due. However, TTAX (Intuit) uses a company to do that and it charged my Credit Card Twice for a single submission (thousands of dollars tax due x 2). The person I talked with at TTAX/Intuit said I had to talk with my bank. She couldn't do anything to help me. Thanks TTAX Customer Service. What a great job.

If I could select zero stars I would. They did not send in the insurance form so I had to physically resend it. I filed the first day I could, I was accepted January 31st. Now it’s June 30th and I still don’t have the return, it’s not even processed. When I called back when the irs asked me for more info in February, I got a lady who was very very nice but couldn’t help me so I asked for a manager. The manager had an very bad attitude and said it was the irs’s fault that they didn’t sent the form. Ridiculous. I am royally f-ed financially because of Covid. Had they sent it in the first time I probably would have had my return before Covid messed everything up and I wouldn’t have to be putting everything on credit cards. I will never use this service again.
Beware of the free version. TurboTax has gone downhill! Where's the communication?
I've been using TurboTax for 15 or so years. I've always been happy until now, which I just experienced multiple failures. Firstly, I had a complicated income year and had no idea where my adjusted gross income would land. They have the most stingy of all free plans, but because I've been loyal, I went with them. I got 80% through my taxes and found out I won't qualify for the free plan. I still wanted to use TurboTax, since I'm familiar with the program and I have my tax history in one place. I tried to use the paid plan and it wouldn't let me! I erased everything, removed cookies from my browser, you name it. I searched the community and found out that once you try using the free plan, you cannot go to the paid version with your account! Your only options are to be redirected to the IRS free file website or clear your cookies and open another account with TurboTax. So now I have 2 accounts and one tax return separate from all others. I wasted hours and hours having to do my taxes twice! Why the hell haven't they communicated this would happen before you enter into the free version? TONS of people have had to do their taxes twice because of their lack of communication.
There were issues with the program I haven't seen in the past. Then, how convenient, when it was time to leave a review, it wouldn't let me! I took 30 minutes to leave a detailed review, but it wouldn't let me submit it! It kept saying the text window where I wrote the review was blank! No it wasn't, it was full of text! I had no choice but to close the window. How convenient, now there's no way for me to leave a review on their website. Most of their reviews are 5 stars on the website, but multiple other websites have folks posting very poor reviews. I'm rather suspicious that they wouldn't let me leave a review because mine was a negative one (was 2 stars there, but they lost one for disallowing me to leave a review). I used them this year because I'm under the gun, but I will be using this year to research other options. I don't know what happened, but everything I loved about TurboTax is gone. I suspect they have shady, unethical, greedy management. That's okay, they've lost my business, and I'll be sure to let others know about my experience.

Reason 1-Turbo Tax did not generated my 8962 even though I applied my 1095-A, it seems like it happened to a lot of your customers for 2019 returns.
Reason 2-Turbo Tax miscalculated my return $**** but it is actually $****. I would not find out about this if IRS wouldn't request me to fill out the 8962. I need to be able to trust and rely on my tax advisor, and I don't feel confident anymore about your product. I was gonna receive $1800 less ?
Reason 3- Because of the mistake on the Turbo Tax Online after 18 weeks I am still waiting for my refund, when most of my family members, friends and neighbors already received their refunds.
Reason 4- Even though I did not receive my refund I was already charged for the product, even I choose the option to deduct from my tax return, it was also extra $40 but Turbo Tax didn't wanted wait any longer and charged debited the money from my personal bank account without my permission

The most incompetent, disorganized bunch of rank fools I have ever had the displeasure of working with.
None of the Turbo-tax "experts" are familiar with their own software. All of them seem to be on the phone trying to painstakingly navigate their way through their own software at the same time the customer is while on the phone.
Turbo-tax is not for free but when you are led to pay-up, you find that their representatives have absolutely no idea what they are doing and leave the customer aghast with frustration for their inability to solve basic problems you paid them for. I give them a zero customer rating.

I have always liked using turbo tax
I have always liked using turbo tax. I have used it for many years and never had a problem. This year, they f**ked up! I will not be using them ever again. Nothing about my filing situation has changed. If I wanted to get charged $200+, for the same services that cost me $0 last year, I would go to a CPA. It is BS, I can file for “FREE” on the IRS website.
Every other bad review is right
Every other bad review is right. I'm not a high maintenance customer and seriously never leave bad reviews, but I got really screwed over by Turbotax this year. I've used them before with no problem, but this year they tried to tell me I have to upgrade to their deluxe version or else I can't file my taxes. To be clear, I triple checked and there's genuinely no valid reason for this! I'm only trying to file two W-2's! It's a $60 charge plus $50 for state taxes- I'm a college student trying to pay rent and I simply can't afford a charge like that right now. So I did what anyone else would do and called customer service to try and figure it out, and found out I have to pay $30 to even speak to a real person. I can't fathom how they stay in business with customer service like this. Do yourself a favor and stay away. They've been fine in years prior to this one, but I'm not using them again.
