If I could have given 0 I would have. I've used Turbotax to file my taxes for the last ten years and (to be honest) have never had a problem until this year. I e-filed my taxes 1/30, tax return accepted 1/30. It's now 5/4 and my tax return has yet to be processed by the IRS because Turbotax did not make form 8962 available to customers who have health insurance through the marketplace. Each time that I call my problem is treated with indifference or I'm lied to. At this point I am done, never again. To make matters even worse, I began receiving collection calls for the service fee even though I had not received my refund because of their mistake, so instead of waiting for my refund to deduct the fee because that's the pymt option I chose, Turbotax went ahead and took the money from my bank account. Nothing left to say!

F YOU TURBOTAX!!

NO TURBO TAX!!!

Oh, so since I was a STUDENT and have a student loan, you are forcing me to upgrade my tax package and pay you $60 dollars so that I can deduct my student loan interest? That is some serious bull.

I've been using Turbo tax for the last four years, but never again. I'm literally sitting at my computer crying over how a company could be so freaking callous and evil. I already owe over $20,000 in student loans, and I MIGHT get a $1000 deductible based on my interest paid on those loans last year, but you want to scoop $60 dollars off the top? Seriously? F YOU.

This is the worst service ever …

This is the worst service ever please dont ignore this review Turbo tax will not get on the phones there emails happen to be down and they are keeping my money in there account meanwhile each month they steal some claiming fees just let me take my fuc'n money. They never sent my card out and i'm not the only one I have a relative going threw the same thing. When I call the automated system claim my information doesn't match so they wont let me speak to a live person. Me and my children haven't eaten in two days while my income taxes and covid relief money sits in turbo tax account and nobody will help. Two fuc'n days we haven't eaten and im fuc'n sueing.

Needed to file my 2019 tax refund so i could get the stimulus money and i purchased turbo tax self employed because I had to in order to file. Ended up finding my 2018 tax return which i needed to proceed to get my stimulus money. Called to get my money back from turbo tax and they stole my money. Will not give it back. Dont use them

For the record I have used Turbo Tax…

For the record I have used Turbo Tax for at least 15 years and up till this year I have been very happy with the product. I have always used the Deluxe version of the software where I would get my Federal and State taxes submitted for $0 dollars.
And if I needed another State Tax return (for a Child) I would have to pay for the State but not the Federal. This Year I had to pay for both for myself - Not a way to keep your Customers Happy - I am sensing a little Greed on Turbo Taxes Part since we are in a Lock Down.

Its a shame but I am going to have to look into other options for next year -

Thanks Turbo Tax for forgetting why we use you - convenience and value (since you forgot)

I would not even give them 1 star but I have to mark something. Tried them for the first time this year. Terrible service, please do not use them at any cost. They do not have any CPA's that check your work to make sure that it is right like they claim. You cannot get anyone on the phone that can give you any answers and they cannot check anything with the IRS for you. My return ended up in the IRS error department and I have heard nothing since. No letter, nothing at all. You can not get any answers over the phone from the IRS either. Turbo Tax got their money but try calling them to ask questions or have them check on your return for you. Not going to happen. A customer service representative will answer and cannot help you. Now I have to make an appointment with the IRS when COVID-19 is over to find out what happened to my tax return. Never, ever again. You can believe that any positive reviews are paid for by TurboTax. Companies can buy positive reviews and post them in case you did not know that. Read the thousands and thousands of bad reviews from real people that used their service!

TurboTax and Greendot stole my 2017…

TurboTax and Greendot stole my 2017 refund. TurboTax took their payment out but I never received the balance for my refund. Both companies keep giving me the runaround blaming the other company. It’s like a amateur version of good cop bad cop. It’s now 2020 and despite TurboTax getting their portion of my refund for payment I have not received one dime! The TurboTax supervisor says she is aware of the problems with Greendot yet Turbotzx continues to partner with them. It’s clear TurboTax/Intuit are complicit.

WORST TAX SERVICE EVER

WORST TAX SERVICE EVER! This is unbelievable. I filed on February 8th and was estimated to get my return on February 29th. It is now April 17th, and I have received nothing. I tried to use customer support online and over the phone, and they never even let me speak to a representative. The robot hung up on me four times when I was trying to get help saying I was not being specific enough. I tried to find a place to leave a review on their website, and they even make THAT impossible. DO NOT use Turbotax!!

John G is the rudest agent I have ever spoken with!!

I have been using Turbo Tax the last three years with no issues, so normally I would be giving them a higher rating.

This one star review is specific to the beyond horrible customer service agent I spoke with this morning by the name of John G!

I called this morning to confirm that Turbo Tax had the correct direct deposit information, since IRS states they do not have my bank information. He was beyond rude stating that I need to call IRS or Intuit card services. When I asked the simple question of why I would need to contact card services. Since I pay turbo tax and provide them with my direct deposit information when filing my tax return. He then in the rudest tone I have ever heard from a customer service agent stated “if you don’t want to call customer service then don’t.” This still did not answer my question and for what I pay to file taxes with turbo tax getting basic information shouldn’t be a problem. He had no interest in my issue or anything I had to say, which is very sad since he earns his paycheck by taking customer calls. I understand times are tough and stressful right now for everyone. However it’s shocking that he is not great full for the job security of customers calling in. A lot of people are out of work, and would jump at the chance to be at work earning wages.

His disrespectful tone and comments were a very bad representation of Turbo Tax. As a customer service agent you are paid to take care of customers. Not verbally abuse them and ignore their basic questions.

Note to turbo tax: This is the one bad apple that could destroy the whole bunch. With John G’s tone and demeanor he is going to end up costing you money and customers. Guaranteed their are lots of qualified individuals who would do the job a lot better and take pride in their work.

At the end of the call I asked for his first name, this is so I could have a record of who I spoke with in case I had to call back. He went silent and then hung up on me. Usually when someone is confident in the information they are providing, they having no issue providing their first name.

The biggest shock to me is when I called back to get my original question answered. I was advised that John G had notated my account that the call had dropped. That is a 100% falsification of company records. I have never in my life had a call drop as soon as I ask a employee for their name. In most call centers this is a serious offense that leads to termination. If I had to speak with John G again I would no longer use turbo tax due to the horrible treatment. It’s already bad enough they add extra fees and constantly trying to sell additional service during the entire process of filing a tax return.

My return is simple enough

My return is simple enough, though itemized....I entered something incorrectly, which was stopping me from efiling., which I've been doing forever. Long story short...after trying for hours to figure out what is wrong...called in and the tax expert figured it out...helped me out in a matter of minutes. Efile transmitted as it had in the past. Thank you Intuit/Turbo Tax Rep!

Been filing and paying money to use…

Been filing and paying money to use Turbo tax software over 5 years. Just to discover that It's has no info on my stimulus mind you that I filed and received my State and Federal returns on the turbo card. Will be changing who I file with next year. Sincerely an Angry customer 😡🤬😠 😡🤬

If I could give no stars I would

If I could give no stars I would. I used to use turbo tax year after year. I stopped then, decided to use them for 2019. Never had this much trouble. I live in Florida and they for one tried to submit state taxes for me and charges me for it, took me 3 months to finally get my money back for state taxes that I didn’t need filed. Still can’t download a copy of my tax return from turbo no update and I received my taxes in February. They charged me to do taxes period when I qualified for free taxes. Not even attempting to get that money back. You try to call? They hire off the wall people who don’t know what their doing!! When I called the guy I heard before he spoke to me said “damnnnn”. Poor poor professionals. I will never use these people again. You get the same response when you have any issues no real answer. Done with these people DONE. When their site won’t give me my copy of my return I’m told “just get a transcript”. Thanks for the help turbo. Oh and my account still states my return is accepted I had to find out on my own when I received my taxes and that they were officially done. No record of my return on my account anywhere.

This time last year I would of given a…

This time last year I would of given a 5 star review. I'll never use turbo tax again after the way I've been treated and have seen and read the way others have been treated and lied to. People that are damn near starving to death and you are telling them they are getting the money on there card but if you go to sbtg it clearly states if your money went through them you will not get the money on the card. It will be a paper check. Anyways I hope effects turbo tax the way it has all of us.

Tge turbo tax stimulus registration…is mot what it claims

Tge turbo tax stimulus registration isnt for everyone that needs to provide direct deposit info to the irs. Its a set up, the only'way you can register your info is to let them do your tax return. Ajso if you have to pay in, you cant provide direct deposit info either. So this is a false advertisement, all this? Is, is a way for turbo tax to do your tax return by force. With what is takibg place in the world, this company should be ashamed of themselbes. They'will never get my business. Shame on you turbo tax trying to take advantage of a grim situation.

For tax year 2019 TurboTax blew it.

For tax year 2019 TurboTax blew it.
1. It allowed me to submit my taxes without my 8962 healthcare form. It asked me if I had healthcare. I said "yes" .
It asked me if I received a 1095 form. I said "no". These forms are required by the IRS (so I found out)
1 month later I got a letter from the IRS asking for those forms.
Turbotax should not allow submitting if a person does not have the proper forms filled out and attached.
2. I have itemized deductions every year. But somehow turbotax sent my taxes in using the standard deduction. I picked "itemized" but it did not allow that. Later when I found this issue the turbotax rep found a box on the federal info page that was checked and it said "use standard deduction even if itemized is more".
I never checked this box. I was never asked about this during the tax software.
3. Had to have a turbotax rep call me to figure all this out. They said they needed to get help from more qualified techs. They promised to call me at 12 noon the next day. They never called back. Had to go elsewhere for help.
They have lost my business.

They charged me money when they were…

They charged me money when they were not supposed to; they filed my return incorrectly and neglected to include health care credit information - which now leaves me ineligible for health care credits; they are not reachable for customer service (if you call, they try to extort MORE MONEY; if you don't pay, you get disconnected); they have a money back guarantee (100% satisfaction guaranteed) which they refuse to actually give. They should be barred from doing business; they should be removed from the IRS website as a "free" provider (at the end of the very long process of preparing your return on line, the only option is to pay .. at that point, mostly people just pay because they do not want to start all over). THIS IS THIEVERY AND SCAMMING AND FRAUD. THE CEO SHOULD GO TO PRISON.

Horrible

Horrible. Paid $170 for self employment filing on line and they first said I had to use my tax return to pay which would cost me another $40!(didn’t give me an option) and when all was said and done they didn’t even pay my taxes!! Not to mention I had to send in the documents myself!! Waste of time and money. Next time I’m using any of the other options out there!

Now I tried calling and they said I need to speak with a specialist so it forwarded me to a promo that asked me if I want to upgrade said no then it asked me again and I ignored it and it hung up on me!! I called back only to wait for 25 minutes !!! Trying to get a specialist to do a job that a monkey could do!!!

NOW THEY HUNG UP ON ME!!

Crooks

Crooks! I will NEVER use this again! I have never been able to file for free using TurboTax. It's supposed to be affordable- it isn't. By the time they charge all their ungodly fees they cost more than going to a CPA would have and I would feel more secure in taking my taxes to a CPA than I do TurboTax. I found a coupon that is advertised on the TurboTax official website and it won't even work. Terrible customer service when you call in, as well. When I called in to ask about it they acted like I had made the coupon up and offered no help. HATE TurboTax!
