The Villa Edira made a superb base for our Quiet Side of the Italian Riviera holiday. The staff were warm and welcoming, our room was spotlessly clean and comfortable, the breakfasts were delicious... See more

This was our second trip with Inntravel, and it lived up to expectations. Hotels and cycling routes are well-chosen, cycling directions are thorough, and it's nice to ahve some background information about the places you are passing.

I did the high Bernese oberland walking holiday in Switzerland last week. All the hotels were very nice, the walks were incredible, the instructions were clear and almost unnecessary as the footpaths were clearly signposted and I didn’t need the maps provided. I was impressed with the staff following the late cancellation of my outbound Eurostar booking as they quickly resolved the issue by arranging a flight instead for which I was very grateful. I would have no hesitation in recommending Inntravel and will definitely travel with them again 🙂

We enjoyed an excellent tour round Slovenia organised by Inntravel. The three hotels were excellent, tremendous service and great locations. Travelling by train and bus was a pleasant change and did not detract from our enjoyment of a wonderful country. The taxi transfers were seamless and without issue. Would use Inntravel again.

We had an excellent holiday in Spain travelling to Segovia, Salamanca, Madrid and Toledo. We arranged flights snd Inntravel booked hotels and trains and Inntravel provided a folder of excellent guided walking tours of each city. The hotels were all very good and the hotel in Salamanca was particularly outstanding.
This was our third holiday with Inntravel with Spain and France being visited. We think Inntravel tours are a good compromise between organising a touring holiday yourselves and booking a fully guided holiday.

We had a lovely holiday in Scotland arranged by InnTravel - first, 6 days walking in the Highland Perthshire area and then 2 days in Edinburgh. The area where we walked is not the steep highlands of the Western part of Scotland - it is more rolling hills, and lots of sheep, wildflowers, and birdsong. It was not a remote feeling as we were often walking near towns and sometimes on roads. The walking notes were very clear and helpful and all of our accommodations were comfortable. The Nira Caledonia hotel in Edinburgh is lovely and in a good location to explore the city (and away from the very touristy part of town). We enjoyed the River of Leith walkway that goes through much of the city. We would definitely recommend InnTravel!

A fantastic walking holiday in the Dordogne. The walking routes were varied, taking in delightful landscapes, beautiful woodlands and rivers and so many wildflowers and butterflies. The places we stayed were well-chosen: hotels were great and we ate some splendid food in beautiful surroundings. Thoroughly recommended.

We have used Inntravel over a number of years for self-guided walking holidays. This year we chose Swiss Alps Stroll & Lake Lucerne – the two centres provided varied experiences – boat trips, lake views and the delights of Lucerne, followed by snow-covered mountains, alpine meadows and the spectacular Trümmelbach Falls. Lovely views from both hotels, good food and service. The walking was enjoyable and not too strenuous.

We had an excellent holiday with Inntravel exploring the cities of Copenhagen, Stockholm and Helsinki. Our hotels were centrally placed and of different characters. The notes provided were informative and we followed up various suggested museums and places to eat. The travel by train and ship also added to our enjoyment.
We are already planning our next holiday with Inntravel!

Completed a six day self-guided walk through the Brecon Beacons in Wales, and very happy with the itinerary, the booking and logistics assistance from Inntravel, and the overall experience. Walking notes and map very helpful, with sufficient detail to keep us on track. Highly recommend the walk, and the professional and helpful approach of Inntravel

We did the walk in Slovenia through the Julian Alps to Bohinj and Lake Bled through Inntravel which we have used a number of times. . The booking process was smooth, bwe received the walking notes in good time and all the taxi transfers were easy and punctual. The taxi driver even returned something we had left at a hotel en route. The walking was spectacular, the hotels were good, particularly the final one and the people were incredibly friendly. We would strongly recommend the company and the walking holiday in particular.

Another excellent Inntravel holiday In the Douro Hills including Porto . Booked a year in advance to obtain selected hotels. Self led walking with the backup of GPS provided by Inntravel . Two port / wine visits were include in the package. We met no other walkers and the walks were more varied than expected. Hoteliers were delightful and the food in Portugal was impressive and cheaper to other parts of Europe.

I am sorry to be writing this poor review, as our experience of Inntravel is that it gets so many things right. Our recent trip to Germany was our third holiday with the company and we were unaware of any possible problems with our arrival time of 10pm before we travelled. These times were fully recorded by Inntravel as we had paid for them to arrange for a taxi to pick us up from the rail station (which did not arrive). However we found a taxi and were left at the hotel only to find it in darkness and the doors appeared to be locked. A rather frightening experience of arriving in the dark, later at night, in an unfamiliar place, and, as we discovered later, a note and our room keys left for us in a milk churn. Another guest at the hotel fortunately helped us to gain access and eventually find our rooms.
The following morning, we went down to Reception and spoke to the Hotel Manager as we were upset about the management of our arrival – it seemed a bizarre set up. The Manager told us that they had informed Inntravel at least two weeks prior to our holiday of the fact that they closed the reception at 9pm and therefore no one would be available to welcome us and check us in. We felt very let down that Inntravel hadn’t let us know, as we could easily have arranged to arrive earlier in the evening.
But perhaps the worst part of this experience is the total lack of response by Inntravel to our complaints. I have sent two emails in the past couple of weeks and have heard nothing, other than an automated reply. So as a last resort I am posting on this website as I know (I hope) that I will get a response. A sad indictment of this company.

This Inntravel tour was ever better that the others we have been on for one reason, the gps routing. We downloaded the routes to a bicycling app and followed the blue dot. It made the trip mentally effortless. We were able to enjoy the views without have to study the directional notes. We used non-electric trekking bicycles, and at times we worked, even walked the bikes up a couple steeper hills. It was all worth it. As usual, it was the people of the country you are in that makes the trip. Two highlights were the steam cog railway on day one and the town of Hallstatt on the last day. We were two women near age 70.

Inntravel organised a very smooth transfer to an excellent hotel in a nice location. They provided lots of information about local activities and walks which was helpful and accurate.

Beautiful part of the world with a lovely family run hotel. We would have appreciated more walks around the immediate area not requiring a train journey but overall a very enjoyable holiday.
The hotel in Barcelona was excellent too - well positioned for exploring.
