Super comfortable shoes. Mainly used for hiking & dog walking on trails. Wife had a long time nagging knee problem that immediately went away when she started to wear these shoes. Upper black plastic bands around shoelace area came loose almost immediately but did not affect performance. Size seems to vary - she ordered a second pair but could feel the difference significantly enough to gift the shoes to her daughter, and bought another pair a half size bigger. Overall, excellent comfort, though.

Just started using these on trail runs which are a mix of land-rover tracks and muddy paths. I have very narrow feet and the precision option fits well. These trainers are comfortable and grippy except on wet rocks in streams.

Sadly they were uncomfortable because where the base of the tongue attached, it was too tight across my foot and made my toes go numb. So returned them.
Really comfy and strong but still can feel the ground nicely. Great anti slip on mud, perfect fit for my feet.

The grip in mud is incredible, but they're also super comfy when you hit a section of road or hard packed trail. My new favourite shoes!

High expectations but painful to wear - so tight & rigid across forefoot. Tried lacing differently but only wore them twice. The first outing was a muddy trail run & the lugs were great but suffered during & afterwards.

I bought these to do my local parkrun which is basically cross country mud in the winter and these shoes are excellent for it. I can run through deep mud and puddles without fear of slipping. I bought my normal trainer shoe size which was perfect for me. They are comfortable to wear and I had no rubbing or anything. I bought the wide fit which was right for me. My husband has also bought a pair and he is really pleased with his. I would highly recommended for the muddiest of mud routes and feeling confident that you will not slip over.

I have worn the shoes to race a muddy cross country. They were comfortable, my feet were dry and I didn't slip. Compared to trainers they were lighter and compared to spikes they were warmer but slightly heavier. Perfect for training on trails and cross country if you prefer the extra stability and comfort.

I think this is the first time I’m extremely unhappy with a X-Talon purchase. I have been wearing X-Talon for years and since it is discontinued I thought I buy this shoe as it a) has cushioning and b) was on sale. However the issue is that on undulating ground the heel feels too high and digs into the ankles which makes the running experience extremely painful. On flat ground the cushioning is nice. On top of it the toe box does a squeaking sound with every step, but I could live with it. However since I run in the mountains and everything is undulating this shoe is sadly a big no for me. I would not recommend to purchase this shoe.

If you do prefer a lower, close to the ground feel then you might find that the Mudtalon Speed could work better for you.

Got them for a great price in a flash sale, and they arrived quickly. The shoes are comfortable and great in mud. Feel really secure running through the swamp of mud that is the Sussex weald in the winter. I got the wide fit but think I could probably have got away with the precision. I followed the fit guide on the website for shoe size and they are perfect on that front (the same as my usual shoe size, which makes a change from most running shoes).

Really quick delivery like next day! Brilliant soft terrain trainers, feel really confident running through mud. Nice amount of cushioning whilst maintaining ground feel.

Love the fit and feel of these. Already had the mudTalon speed version so knew that they would be comfortable. I prefer the lesser drop of the speed version but thats because i tend to go for zero drop runners where possible. Brilliant lightweight but tough muddy ground shoe.
