Facebook marketplace scam attempt

Thank you all for your previous reviews, you just saved me from a scammer asking for what most of you wrote about. I was selling a car on marketplace and the person was 'very interested', just wanted to make sure that the car was fine since they 'had a bad experience in the past'. They sent me a link to this website to buy the report. I told them that this would be something that I would expect a buyer to pay for, but they were still asking me to pay for it.

I don't know if the scammer has anything to do with this website, but they have sent the link for this website to me, hence the review.

Just be careful and again thank you all for taking the time to write reviews and help others. I hope this helps as well.

Scammer called Emma Walton

Just had someone try to scam me on Facebook market place, asking me to purchase an IV. So I googled the company and this popped up. I already have a vehicle check from another website but they said not what they wanted even though its the same info.
When I then said ill go to another web site it all went Quiet.

MASSIVE SCAM

MASSIVE SCAM

Had a car for sale on FB market place. Seemed all fine till they wanted a vehicle inspection report from this link they sent me. I wasn’t about to even touch it, said I would do my own one on a different website if they were insistent but they kept trying to get me to use this one. Then looked it up online and saw all these reviews. The “person” that contacted me was called Nancy Leach. Be careful. Have also reported the website to the national scam agency too.

Obvious scam

Obvious scam. Luckily most car sellers or anyone with experience selling can smell it from a mile away.

Same situation as everyone else. Buyer told me to get them a report using this link where it’s £25 for the ‘full report’. Most reports from trusted checks are usually £5-£10. Don’t trust anyone who sends you this link.

SCAM ALERT!!!

SCAM ALERT!!!! as soon as you see someone sending this website link via facebook marketplace, stop the converstion and don't click on the payment link. I asked the person to use trusted Experian or other HPI check websites but he was continuously insisting me to use this one, I even asked the to use it themselves and reduce the price from the total car payment but they didn't agree becasue then they cannot scam you.

Vehicle Inspection Scam

Posted a new listing on FB Marketplace and was quickly contacted by George Murphy. Wanted to come and view right away, in the dark, wanted to see a copy of VI and sent me a link to the same website noted in previous reviews.

It didn’t sit right at all, within a few minutes my thoughts were vertices. SCAM!
