I found out that my former 401k ended with this joke of a company. $35 annual maintanance fee, $10 paper statement fee, $25 account closure fee. I'm closing my account ASAP and will have to live with the fact that these losers STOLE (I did not consent to be charged or for my account to end up here) $60 in fees. Moving my account to Fidelity ASAP.

Please just get me to a Human Being!

I have had a self-directed IRA for decades. I started with Sunwest Trust who were a small quality company. They were bought out by Millennium Trust who were larger and not as good, but still OK. Then the company bought out several firms and became Inspira Financial. While most of the people are helpful and kind, the attempt at automation is frustrating and chat bots and automated responses do not get problems solved on a real estate transaction with looming deadlines. A brief phone conversation would often solve the problem but one person agrees with my solution and then I get the same old automated responses saying it won't work! I wrote the sale Contract exactly as the property is titled, which is what the Title Company recommended. Inspira kept insisting that the Contract had to be written with FKA (Formerly Known As) language which can leave ambiguity in the chain of title. I finally spoke to a competent human who seems to have solved the problem. Furthermore their automated phone system is handled by artificial stupidity. It asks what you want but then understands nothing and tries to prompt you to visit their website. Only by having a swear word infused tantrum do I get a human being on the line. (Does AI recognize the F word?) I'd guess they are having rapid expansion pains and hope they can improve the customer experience! The old Millennium Trust Company was quite good.

Disgusting

It’s trash . It should never be this hard to access fund we busted our backs for. From the trash website that hardly works, to not being able to clear an ACH to a well established bank. To being charged over 100 bucks to close my accounts I never wanted in the first place. Makes me sick. Disgusted really. Pathetic. If you have the option, run.

Extraordinary difficulties getting FSA…

Extraordinary difficulties getting FSA benefits processed. They instructed me to submit claims for products, like contact lenses. to my insurance company, which does not cover them to document denial of a claim before they would release MY money. However, if you buy through their new product network. that step is not required. Website is not user-friendly. Wait times for any customer service are long, at least 30 minutes.

Worst HSA/FSA Account Holders

Worst customer service ever. Being denied for CPAP supplies and various other medical services denied. They had all the appropriate documents. However they still wanted explanation of benefits. So ridiculous.

I would not choose Inspira Financial…

I would not choose Inspira Financial for investing if I had other options. Prosper Marketplace assigned them as the servicer for their Alternative IRA accounts, and my experience has been frustrating ever since Inspira rebranded from Millennium Trust Company. Their customer service has been difficult to work with, and the process to close my account has been far more complicated than it should be. Additionally, their fees appear significantly higher than those of comparable financial institutions. Overall, I cannot recommend Inspira Financial based on my experience.

Do NOT invest with Inspira Financial!

I am looking forward to finally washing my hands of this incompetent investment company (which a prior employer forced me to use). Inspira has horrible customer service (they frequently say "I'm so sorry..." and "please hold for another 3 to 5 min" -- while they are obviously asking a supervisor all of your questions). I have been trying to have them issue my 401k funds to a different investment company for the past month. Apparently, the 1st check was lost in the mail (regular mail without tracking numbers). Then they promised to overnight it (charging me that fee) within 3 to 5 business days. THAT didn't happen either! Nothing will get done unless you stay on top of the situation, frequently contact them to follow up on the status, and document all info every time you speak to them. Demand that an expedited mail system is used (the fee is worth it), and demand that they email you the tracking number. Try to obtain any and all reference numbers and case numbers for your records. Otherwise, they don't know what you are talking about. They seem very shady and do not want to release your money! Stay away from Inspira!

I'm beyond frustrated with this…

I'm beyond frustrated with this company. I've had to submit so many eobs for things that should have been covered and even had my account suspended. This is the first year I've used this company and I'm over it. This company is terrible, in my experience. I thought having a card to use for my fsa would be great, but now I'm seriously considering not having one next year. What's the point if I have to jump through hoops for obvious medical claims that should be covered. Also, when you call, you generally get a customer service representative who can barely speak English. Thank heavens it's open enrollment time, I can't wait to get rid of this company.

I’ve had an extremely frustrating experience with commuter benefits.

I’ve had an extremely frustrating experience with the commuter benefits process. The website is frequently down, which already makes things difficult. On top of that, my phone crashed and I lost access to my SmarTrip metro card, which had over $300 in commuter benefits on it. The card became inactive, so I contacted Inspira to transfer the balance to a new card.

I’ve now spoken with four different customer service representatives, each claiming to create a ticket and asking me to wait five business days. However, every time I follow up, they tell me they have no record of any ticket and simply create another one. I’m going in circles, and no one is escalating the issue.

What am I supposed to do at this point?

Inspira is AWFUL

My husband died unexpectedly 14 months ago leaving me in a financial bind, and he had an account with this company through his employer. I went to an accountant to fill out the non-user friendly paperwork, attached the requested documents, and began the designated 20-day wait period, which is stated in my paperwork.
I have contacted them multiple times, and each time is a different story with the bottom line being they have not released the funds to me, there is nothing in my “file” saying what the problem is, and it is past the 20-day “review”period.
Today’s customer service rep said she’s trying to be sure her company honors the 20 days, but technically the review period is now 30 days. 30?!?! No. Absolutely not. It is printed in my paperwork that it’s 20 days, AND THOSE 20 DAYS HAVE EXPIRED.
Run. Put your money in your mattress. Put it in a safety deposit box. Do NOT give it to Inspira.

Updated review

Updated review - Inspira said they couldn’t locate my account which wasn’t true. They were able to contact me privately for more information. I have never left a review on a company before but their customer service is horrible. It is almost impossible to get past their customer service agents who are very hard to understand and talk in circles.

Endless delays and Malfeasance

This company has refused for two months to transfer my funds out of their trust company. Their service is often very very slow, but now I am concerned my funds have been stolen and are not really there. Is that why they refuse to let me move my money?
