Ricky shared his story, covering his upbringing on a council estate, challenges with self belief, and brushes with the law before he became a Chartered Accountant and a successful rugby player, then ultimately a world class climber. He helped to save a fellow climber, and ultimately conquered Everest. His work with social enterprise organisations and his achievements are truly inspirational and should encourage young people to aim for the stars.

Ricky inspired the Year 8, Year 7 and Year 6 to be the best they can be and that it's never too late to try and achieve your dreams! Ricky talked via Zoom to our Year 5/6 children both in school and at home during lockdown and we were all enthralled! He is a great speaker and he told of his amazing adventures in a way that had us all captivated. It was truly inspiring. We were so grateful that our children got to hear all about his experiences and how he overcame his difficulties and achieved his goals. Brilliant. Thank you so much.

Ricky's talk about the way he'd overcome challenges, and how this had led to knowledge of how to deal with things in the future was inspiring but also very interesting and entertaining. It fitted in with our Scouts at Home programme perfectly. We have had so many parents get in touch afterwards to say how much their children had got out of listening and getting to ask their questions. The Zoom call was professionally done and everything worked well - great to see this was able to continue despite the pandemic.

I have attended Rickies talks twice now and really loved his story! I also enjoyed his approach with young people when working together during a school programm. I loved the way he connects with them and helps them to challenge themselves and reach their goals.

Really enjoyed the talk! Perfectly paced for his audience and kept everyone engaged and waiting for the next part of the story. Lots of facts that were of interest to his audience. Would highly recommend!

Ricky was a real inspiration. His story is honest, heartfelt, and relatable. This is a 100% recommend. Ricky took us for an hour keynote and Q and A for our Scouts and Explorers. I really recommend taking the opportunity to have a session with him.

Ricky gave a talk to our Year 5 children (those in school and those at home) via Zoom about his experiences climbing Everest. The children were absolutely gripped from start to finish and asked lots of really sensible questions. The talk was well pitched for the age group - they particularly enjoyed to tales of frostbite! What a great presentation. My young lad wasn’t really that interested in attending another zoom call during lockdown. Until this actually started. He was captivated from the word go. Really enjoyable and really inspirational. A great example as to what you can do even if things don’t go as you expect. Inspired and driven how we all should be.
