I have been using them for over a year today the shopper needed me to sign for a high price item, NO PROBLEM but I missed him by a minute, saw him pulling out of my driveway just ignored and left... See more

should be minus star
should be minus star, all I want to do is cancel Peacock from my Instacart. been on phone for over 3 hours, 6 incompetent CSR's, they tell me to go to Peacock, Peacock states go to third party i.e. Instacart. on hold now for 30 min, hung up. I have other things to do then this!!!Maybe I'll just cancel instacart!!! I have used since 2021
INSTACART STEALS FROM ITS CUSTOMERS
I placed Freshco order on June 10th. My shopper Andruw charged me $17.99 FOR 1 CLIF BAR INSTEAD OF THE CASE. Supervisor Keith and manager Niema(sp?) REFUSED TO REFUND ME THE DIFFERENCE!!!! I was willing to pay for the individual bar, even though I choose the option of refund instead of replacement!
They say it's because of too many refunds on my account. The order(no issues) on June 4th, is the 1st order I placed in 4 months!!!!! Before then, I only contacted Instacart in extreme cases of damaged or missing items.
THERE NEEDS TO BE ACCOUTABLITY.
WHAT HAPPENED TO CUSTOMER RIGHTS?!?!
I DON'T RECOMMEND INSTACART!!!!!!!

I am extremely frustrated with my recent experience with Instacart. On May 25th, I placed an order which included multiple items, but I had several issues upon delivery:
The Caesar salad (priced at $5.49) was missing.
The deli meat (priced at $6.29) was also missing, even though it was listed on the receipt.
The bread (priced at $3.99) was crushed under the weight of other items and was completely damaged.
I contacted Instacart customer service, and they instructed me to submit an appeal form. After doing so, I was told that no refund, credit, or redelivery would be issued. The customer service team was unhelpful, and I was unable to escalate the issue further.
This entire experience has been incredibly frustrating, and it is unacceptable for a company like Instacart to mishandle an order in this way. I am left without the items I needed, and no proper resolution has been offered.
I strongly urge Instacart to improve their customer service and accountability. Until then, I will not be using their services again and cannot recommend them.
Price gouging company. Thieves!!!!
If I had a zero star for this American company they would get minus 10,000 STARS for price gouging us Canadians. Do not sign up for this company. They mark up the products $2 to $4 extra and some of them I found were $7.99 higher than the products that I could order through the store directly. Do not support this American company. They already gouged us on prices at the grocery stores on top of charging $100 for a yearly membership and then on top of that they add to the price of groceries where they're supposed to already charge us the 99 plus tax a year as a membership, but yet they still gouge us on raising the prices. I've done the same exact groceries with my local grocery and then the same products with instacart and I was paying an extra $75 more for the exact same products. DO NOT SUPPORT THESE THIEVES. GO CANADA GO! ELBOWS UP to push out these price gouging hillbillies . It is much cheaper to pay the $8.99 delivery fee from your local grocer. This is insane!! Instacart must be banned from Canada. I have notified the better business bureau! I'll spread the word to NOT BUY FROM INSTACART. even uber is cheaper but they're American too.
Good experience, reasonably priced, support was good.
Overall was a good experience for my first $100 grocery delivery using Instacart.ca. The delivery was free, Instacart.ca charged a $5.99 service fee, and not all of the items were available at the grocery store that the Instacart.ca website claimed. Instacart.ca did provide reasonable alternatives for items that were not available at the store.
I received a $50 credit from Instacart.ca for making an order of at least $100 during a promo that expires at midnight. I noticed I got the credit after the order was completed and the $50 was credited to my account. The credit has an expiration date of 1 month after it was applied.
Instacart.ca also has a referral bonus of $10 per referral for both the referrer and the party using the referral.
I contacted Instacart.ca customer service by phone and spoke to a wonderful and professional human customer service representative and she helped me with all of my concerns. Instacart.ca deserves respect for their very good customer service.
I am happy that reasonably priced delivery service for groceries is available, thank you Instacart!
They charged me twice for the same…
They charged me twice for the same order on different dates. They are denying they charged me twice and when I reached out to customer service I was told no you where charged twice or we don't see a second charge even when I showed 2 screenshots of the same charge on my bank account. Then they said it is PayPal's fault. I finally contacted my bank and even they said it was a double charge. They refuse to give me a refund or even admit they made a mistake. Thank goodness for a bank that knows the truth and I will be making a fraud charge against Instacart with my bank. I will never deal with those people again and will be telling everyone not to deal with them. They rip you off and you are on the hook for the extra charge.
Absolutely horrible!
Absolutely horrible!! Charged me twice same day it’s been 19 days and I haven’t received a refund. They keep promising but never happened.
DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE
Shoppers can be very nice and accurate but I had more then a few times where they added in items for themselves. don't use they just like to steal it seems.
I wish there was a negative stars…
I wish there was a negative stars option. Here is why instacart is terrible:
1. I have only once had them deliver inside of the time window that I selected.
Most often it is between 2-6 hours late, at which time I have no option but to cancel.
2. Twice I have had the experience of the app indicating that my order is arriving, and it never does. Does the driver take the items that I paid for? Who knows.
3. Customer service is ABYSSMAL...I mean really bad. If you ask a question like, "What is the recourse if my order does not arrive within 2 hours of the delivery window" and they don't like the question, they just hang up.
4. If you call with a problem with your order, they indicate that they can cancel the order, but they are not able to promise that your item will arrive on time...or even within hours of the time. "You can call us back"....
I am repeatedly reminded of why I never, ever, ever want to use them again.
Don't order from Instacart Uber Eats
I order for the first time from Instacart uber eats. Not only did not for never arrive but they would not take responsibility. I paid almost $30 for my food and was left without a lunch, and the driver received a tip. Needless to say, I was hungry and pissed. DO NOT USE UBER EATS ON INSTACART YOU WILL GET BURNED. I will now be leaving Instacart because I feel like I can no longer trust them. Passing the buck is not the best way to keep loyal customers. At the very least, (if you are going to do business with a company that burn your customers) have options for us to be compensated.
Never rely on their schedule—I’ve had…
Never rely on their schedule—I’ve had terrible experiences with Instacart.
1. You might place an order today, expecting it to arrive on time, only for the schedule to change without any explanation, delaying your delivery until the next day.
2. Sometimes, I’ve received completely different products than what I ordered, and shoppers insisted it was correct, even when the system showed otherwise.
3. Flyers are not always up to date.
4. Prices are higher than in-store.
They denied my request for a refund.
I received a molding expired cake that was also delivered to me battered. The cake already looked suspicious but as soon as I tasted it I realized it wasn't safe for consumption.
Instacart denied my refund request, sent me an appeal form, which I completed but then ignored me.
I received an email that said:
Hello
Your case number is ....
Best Regards,
No follow-up, no resolution. I was left on hold each time I called, and I was told a manager would call me but never did.
This is so disrespectful, they treat you like a liar instead of investigating why you received hazardous food.
Rarely had a problem with Instacart
Rarely had a problem with Instacart, when there has been a slight hiccup, they sorted it out promptly and politely. Lots of bad reviews, but I have not had any major problems, so they deserve a five star from me.
OMG!
OMG. They charged me an extra 70 dollars and say it will take 7 to 10 biz days to be refunded. Absolutey not acceptable. Watch your banking statements.
my phone kept updating my order missed…
my phone kept updating my order missed alot of items and my phone kept peeping to update my order and she still missed many items
There were two missing items on my…
There were two missing items on my order of 24 items and I submitted a claim. It was denied but got an email saying I could appeal. I got a second email from a customer representative asking what I was missing (even though that information had already been provided. I replied twice and a week later have not heard back. Long story short if you are missing items they won’t refund them. You are out of luck and out your $. About all you can do is give the shopper a poor review.
Unauthorized charges
Since the start of January things have changed. Three times now there has been an unexplained charge around $15 - 30. Customer service no longer even reply to messages.
On the Help page they excuse themselves claiming a high volume. It says if there are unauthorized charges we should "reach out" to our bank.
I notice the name Zendesk now associated with Service.
Is it new management? New Service agency? They have no intention of checking fraudulent charges. They leave us to appeal to our credit card bank.
PS. Now I checked my credit card, and surprise, it does not have those extra charges. They were on the official receipts. Is this some silly incompetence?
Missing items every single order that I…
Missing items every single order that I have ever placed. Do you think that I want you to refund my $4.36? No, I want the product I ordered and now, I have to go to the store and get the item(s) you put in someone else's bag. Glad I tipped you $15.00. Useless.
I found instacart very expensive…
I found instacart very expensive compared to other delivery services.
Tipping the driver @ $15. plus another $17 for picking up the groceries at the store. That $32. Plus I gave the driver another $15. in cash when he delivered my groceries, as I did not know I was being charged already on the bill. Therefore total service cost to me was $47.00.
The driver does not give you a receipt for the groceries. You have to go on line to figure out how much you were charged.
I received 4 bags of groceries plus toilet paper & kleenex.
Even though I paid up front in the amount of $100 for the service, for a year, I don’t think I will be using them.
The positive about instacard was it was very quick in picking up the order & the delivery. All in the same day.
Their website said they were offering…
Their website said they were offering me a $20 promo for a yearly membership. On the page I confirmed it on it said my card was being charged $20. Placed an order and found out later I was charged full price, no refund because I had already placed an order. Complete scam.
