I enjoy using Instagram

I enjoy using Instagram, it is now my only form of social media as it’s the one I use the most. However I think for privacy reasons, it would be better if no one could DM you at all unless you follow each other. I am aware there is an option to change this, I mean I believe the option should be scrapped for the safety of children and vulnerable people who use the app.

Very poor

Very poor. Don't use it much but every time I try to log in I have to go through a pantomime of getting a code to either my email or phone. It says 'we've sent a code' but it doesn't arrive... repeat... So tedious. Really don't get the attraction. Also I see from lack of response to reviews that they don't care at all about UX.

Disgusting

Disgusting. Got deactivated for absolutely no reason. Personal and business. Not fair this happens. Probably AI intelligence not working properly. Had issues with Facebook the same day but this has been rectified, instagram are hanging it out and it’s outrageous. People have a business online and rely on this for advertising. Instagram your disgusting.

Instagram is completely ruined

Instagram is completely ruined; more than 80% of users are fake or buy their followers and comments. Moreover, these days you get nothing but sex scam messages or messages to buy reviews, and almost no real followers. But what did you think? First Facebook and WhatsApp were ruined, and now Instagram. Congratulations, Mark Zuckenberg. You're not only a criminal, but also an idiot.

Awful

Awful. I loved the app but I’ve been suspended and have appealed but have had no action taken. I don’t even know the specific reason other than they think “I’ve gone against their rules”. I haven’t done anything and the same happened to my parents accounts. I’d like it fixed so I can get on the app again as I have important messages to reply to. Terrible customer service. After my Instagram account [insert…

After my Instagram account [insert username] was hacked, I was forced to file a police report. Since then, I have not been able to access any of my personal accounts. I followed all the online recovery procedures and submitted the requested documents, but I have not received any helpful response.

It is frustrating to have no direct contact to resolve the issue, especially for those who use Instagram for work or personal activities. I hope Instagram improves support for users in critical situations like this.

Ban crazy. Should be called Instaban.

Joke social media site that hands out bans like candy and lets the bot profiles thrive.

In my view it's an atrocious business model to ban your users for arbitrary reasons.

Don't waste your time with this site. Do not recommend.

Ran by morons

They are slowly updating it into the ground. I think its run by tech students who are more concerned with appearing like they are doing a 'good' job, than actually ensuring the app works properly and intuitively.
They removed using any more than 5 hashtags; wtf? Why?! They also replaced DMs with "chats" and integrated it with fb messenger!? WHY TF WOULD YOU DO THIS?! NO ONE ASKED FOR THIS NONSENSE!!
- and dont get me started on the plethora of ai slop and scams...

Uninstaling, as its original premise as an engaging photo blog is destroyed. Bye.

Lost all my instagram accounts for something I didn't even do

Terrible app, i lost all of my instagram accounts by Ai wrongfully mass banning, years of memories and photos i'll never get back, my instagram was wrongfully banned by Ai for CSE, can't even contact a human worker, they ignore the emails and there is nothing i can do about this, i can't appeal or do anything, i have been removed from all 4 apps Facebook, messenger, instagram and Threads permanently, this is happening to too many people since last year, don't waste your time on this corrupt app !

CLOSE MY ACCOUNT

My account has been compromised. Never really used it but I can't get on it to delete it. Multiple emails to support unanswered. Seems they wrongly close legitimate accounts but can't manage to close down the ones that should be. Does anyone actually look at their emails?

From friends to ads

I have mixed feelings about Instagram. On one hand, I enjoy using the app and sharing my photos. On the other hand, I’m frustrated with the changes over the past few years.

It used to be all about your friends, the people you follow, and your own content. Now, it’s dominated by ads and the “for you” section. I follow over 500 people, yet I barely see posts from more than 10 of them. Where are all the others? Meanwhile, my feed is filled with content from people I don’t follow and countless ads.

I understand it’s hard to compete with TikTok, but at this point, Instagram is getting destroyed. From my perspective, the app is slowly losing its original appeal.

My account were banned by system and i’ve tried to reach the human agent but still the system wont allow me even i have subscribed to instagram a 30$ per month and they supposed to let me chat with support but the app keep glitching ! This is outrageous

After 11 years of building my Instagram…

After 11 years of building my Instagram account as a professional tattoo artist, it was suddenly disabled with serious accusations that are completely false. My page was my portfolio, my income, and how clients contact me. Gone overnight.

I followed every appeal option they gave me. Submitted ID. Contacted support. All I got were automated replies and zero real explanation. No proper human review. No clear evidence. Just a permanent suspension.

Because of this, I’ve now had to hire a lawyer and pay thousands out of my own pocket just to try and fix what appears to be an obvious system error. A small business owner should not have to take legal action just to be heard.

This has affected my income, my reputation, and my mental health. Meta talks about “community” but there is no support when their AI makes a mistake. It feels like small creators are disposable.

If you rely on Instagram for your business, just know your entire livelihood can disappear overnight — and you’ll be left fighting a billion-dollar company on your own.
