Essentially On Your Own
I completed an IIN certificate in 2018. What I will say is that it did expand my knowledge on a variety of topics. Nutrition is only one component of the curriculum, and I believe it makes sense in terms of health coaching in general. Health is not just about the food you eat (although it plays a huge part). The program is good, however, I don't believe it's worth over $5,000. I think it should cost maybe $2,000 for the value of what they are offering. They do chase you aggressively to sign up once you are in their reach. And once you have signed up they kind of stop caring about you. I believe the school was once worth something when they had a physical location in NYC and the founder was a teacher. But I do believe that now it is a shell of what it once was. It's a cold corporate machine. It relies solely on PDF and videos and the occasional group call. It's all on your shoulders with little support. And for that reason the price tag is absolutely excessive.
Not about nutrition
Not about nutrition. I did the whole thing with the expectation I could give meal plans to my clients and now I'm down 6,000 dollars and now I can't launch the business I started because of this terrible "school". All it is is videos and pdf's. I found my coaching circle coach semi- passive agressive, and there is no such thing as a "student support team" thats all BS. its a robot. and then if you do want a person, you have to contact a rep to get the number to call. Bad "school"
I WAS happy with the course but…
I WAS happy with the course but massively disappointed to find out that you do not get to keep access to the course lectures post graduation (only for 6 months).
I have paid over $6,000 for a year-long course, and only get to keep a handful of PDF documents which I find absolutely appalling value for money.
Before signing up for this course, I would look for alternatives where you get to KEEP access to the course materials that you spend your well-earned money on.
I wish I would’ve looked further into…
I wish I would’ve looked further into this school before signing up. I went into this thinking a school called Integrative Nutrition, would actually teach mostly about nutrition. It does not. I also signed up naively thinking I was getting some sort of deal on tuition. Turns out, there’s always a “deal”. A gave this course a month, there was VERY little nutrition info and what they did talk about was kind of common sense at this point, such as “eat the rainbow”.. in case you forgot that chapter from 3rd grade. I called and talked to someone named Megan and when I told her I thought there would be more information about nutrition since the word is literally in the name she giggled and said “it’s only like 20% about nutrition”. I then talked to someone named Tessa about a refund and apparently they think their useless information is worth $784 because that’s what they’re keeping from my total. That’s if I get the refund or if they’re going to make this difficult like they have for others on here. This school is a scam.
thanks a alot good application...

IIN was able to teach in 12 months what took me over 7 years to attempt to learn on my own while struggling with autoimmune disease. Now I'm able to help others make similar changes with lasting results because of the skills I've developed in a comprehensive and marketable way. Incredibly grateful for the experience and I look forward to continuing with the other courses they offer. I have to mention the professional support I received despite challenges during the pandemic in both my personal life and in the education system as a whole. The education was spot on for my intended purpose, and affordable for my family despite having only one income and a new baby at home!

Very bad experience with financial and admission team.
I needed to resign because of work, and on agreement says that they need to return me money.
They agree to return me money in 15 days but they did not return it as they wrote, now they are not responding to e-mail.
NEVER join to unprofessional programs for your professional career, wasting life
One of IIN students introduced me to IIN programs and finally I found she just wanted to get the referral bonus. However, I have been really interested in nutrition so I paid the tuition fee but the worse part was that a lot of students from IIN just joined into some unreliable groups and making money by selling the unreliable supplements so I quit from IIN shortly after enrolling but didn't get the tuition refund. And then I was accepted by a master degree program of Columbia University Medical Center.
So, friends, be professional to get professional career routine, NEVER to join the unreliable and irresponsible institutes or groups like IIN, wasting your money, energy and life. These days, there are much more reliable nutrition education programs with certifications from top universities and organizations.

1. Money making...
I was very excited when I made the decision in Dec 21 to become a Health Coach and join the IIN 12 month program starting Jan 22. The Team told me during our phone conversation end of December 21 that they are on the forefront of healthcare and provide the latest information and coaching techniques etc...
I was very irritated when I saw the first videos and reviewed the provided material with a date as old as 2012.
Even greater was my surprise when I learned that IIN launched a completely new version of the Health Coaching Program in May 2022 only 4 month after I signed up for the OLD version.
No response or offer from IIN at all...
After the new program already started they send me a standardized message saying that I could change to the new program, which would void my already invested 5 month time and money and I have to pay a fee for changing the course of USD 300 and the first batch is already fully booked so maybe in July 22 I could get a slot.
They clearly have been aware in Dec 21 that there is a new course on the horizon but it was more important for them to sell the OLD stuff and make money than even having the decency to inform me that there will be a new program in just a few weeks time and give me the option to decide!!

amzing tips to manifestate
Don’t waste your money
I finished my health Coach course more than 5 months ago and so far they haven't sent me my certificate.
It's very frustrating every time I called them to find out what's going on, they saying it’s because of the delivery or the Parchment company I already confirmed my address about 6 times I've asked to speak to the manager, but never returned my calls I only able to talked to students team they didn’t do anything to solve the problem.
This program costs over $5000 for basic health info and now they given me hard time to send my certificate it’s completely misleading.
I regret not have went to other school and saved my money and time.
IIN is a money scam
I graduated from the the Health Coach Training Program in 2019. I am more than dissatisfied with the training I received at this institution and in hind site, I regret not have went elsewhere. This program costs over $5000 for basic health information you could simply google. It offers minimal training in coaching theory and how to actually make a difference for your clients. They claim it should be "intuitive". In order to actually receive training on actually how to be a health coach and not just health information, you must enroll in a SECOND course and dish out another couple thousand of dollars. I truly believe this course is just a money scam and does not wish to see their students succeed. I do not have one positive thing to say about my time with IIN and wish I trained at a better institution.
Jessica - Admissions Representative
I just signed up for the September program and can't stress enough how wonderful Jessica, the Admissions Representative has been! She has been so patient, informative, accommodating and pleasant to work this! She is a huge reason I was able to pull the trigger and finally make the invest to enroll! Thank you for all your hard work Jessica, it makes all the difference!

For your safety & wellness, hire a real professional.
It is amazing that anyone who enrolls in and completes this MLM type program is considered qualified to lead another through health and life coaching. There is no real measure or assessment to determine how much a student has learned and if they know how to properly apply intended knowledge. The four open book tests are so easy you’d have to be seriously impaired to not pass them.
Of course, you won’t hear anything like this in reviews because IIN and its coaches need to promote the business in every way possible to keep their credibility and income flowing. This is where the MLM cult vibe comes in. Institute gets a bad name through real reviews, no coach makes money nor does the institute.
Recruitment is aggressive but support after enrollment is non-existent. You’ll be lucky to get a gum chewing rep to answer the phone, let alone address any concerns you might have. You are also solidly locked in after a certain timeframe and it’s not long enough to figure out the program and curriculum have serious issues, like outdated and scientifically unreliable information/sources.
Save your money and see a qualified professional, a licensed counselor. You’ll probably be charged the same but outcome will be far better. They also have ethical and legal guidelines and accountability that no coach has. Lots of counselors are into holistic wellness too.

IIN is GREAT with a couple of BUTs...
I'm quite pleased with IIN. It was a great program to learn more about myself and study topics that actually interest me and inspire me.
However, I was a bit disappointed with the fact that the program has not been updated in years, some lectures are over 10 years old.. Also it is very visible that the institue is very much for-profit and wants to earn as much as it can, which is fine, but from my perspective it could lower some prices down and focus more on community.
Either way I believe IIN is very unique and if you have the opportunity and the resoruces to take it you will defiently get a lot from it.

I love the IIN curriculum
I love the IIN curriculum! So many doctors presenting on cutting edge findings about diet, health and nutrition, all of it grounded in solid research. The presenters represent the real diversity of America, too, with many women and people of color. As an English professor, I also absolutely love that there are engaging and informative videos to watch rather than having to read texts (I'm already pushed to the limit at the end of a day). I am so excited and energized by what I'm learning. Even if I never actually worked as a health coach, which I expect to do, I have benefitted immensely from all I've learned in this program. My life, and my husband's as well, has been forever changed by the knowledge I've gained and the improvements we've both made as a result. I also absolutely love Joshua Rosenthal and enjoy his talks so much. He brings a lot to his program and that seals the deal for me. IIN is a winning program on every level, and I recommend it wholeheartedly.
