In-Depth Integrative Perspective; Would like more personal connection.
Overall I am very happy with my IIN experience. I enjoy the guest lectures immensely, and many of the lecturers are my beloved heroes in the natural integrative health field. I also appreciate their broad view of health, that is so much more than knowing which vitamins and minerals are good for what - hence the "integrative" approach. In the nutrition community there is a strong tendency to adhere to certain specific diets or belief systems. At IIN, they present a more balanced variety of viewpoints and emphasize the individuality of each person's case, helping us see on one size fits all.
I also appreciate that they provide tools to prepare the students for success in the field, rather than just a lot of theories and concepts, especially Coaching Skills, Coaching Tools (with forms we can use and a 6 month format) and an introduction to building and marketing your own business.
The only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is because you have to be very self-disciplined and independent to follow the program. I wish there was either more support or more required action in engaging with other students. We are encouraged to create our own facebook groups and hold online meetings, which I have done, but since it's not required, people's busy lives take precedence and few people engage or join the meetings. There's an enormous and wonderful community of IIN students and grads out there - I just wish we were given more support in connecting with each other.

I'm finding the course the be the best decision I have ever made, as it has transformed my life and in the process of helping to transform the lives around me. The course is wonderfully laid out, and digestible for all learning styles; and back with a very helpful and supportive team, that will ensue you the very best of learning.

Transformational Experience
IIN's Health Coach Training has literally transformed my life. I developed a passion for helping people to take better care of themselves after struggling with dis-ease and illness in my own life. IIN taught me a lot about food and nutrition but learning about Primary Food and Bio-individuality was a gamechanger. The program is so well put together with just the right amount of content for each module. It was a little overwhelming to take the accelerated course while working. It takes a lot of discipline and setting time aside for studying to stay on track. The Coaching Circle is probably my most favorite part of the program. Having actual interaction in the circle, while being coached, helped me to build my confidence and really gave me a vision for how I can move forward after graduation. I am so glad I made the decision to enroll and I highly recommend IIN to anyone seeking to gain knowledge and insight about how to take better care of themselves (heart, mind, body, soul and spirit) or anyone looking to teach/coach others to do the same.

This has been a pleasant experience
This has been a pleasant experience. I am so glad I took the leap of faith and signed up for the class without too much analysis paralysis. My only regret is that I wasn't exposed to this class sooner than now. I love the fact that we were exposed to a lot of dietary theories because one size definitely does not fit all. Also, we learned that there's more to nutrition than what's on your plate. Taking an overall look to primary foods is a great asset to use on clients. It helped me tremendously in my personal journey. I am a more confident individual coming out of the class than I was going in. I will definitely recommend IIN in a heart beat to anyone I truly care about. Thank you Joshua for your vision and thank you IIN staff for being there for me. I hope to continue my journey one way or the other with you. I definitely will be taking more classes and hope to one day be on your stage to teach what I learned.

I feel the content of the program…
I feel the content of the program overall was good but at the end of the course it gets pretty repetitive and I wasn't happy with the website they set us up with at all. I would recommend this course to others I just hope they make these small modifications in the near future to improve it.

If you're self-motivated and looking to expand IIN is a solid choice
I did the 6 month program at IIN and really committed to it, completing all talks, assignments, discussions, tests and coaching circles. Because it's a self-guided program it does require a high degree of self-discipline and motivation but those who stick with it will emerge with a great and actionable understanding of how to coach clients, the basics of business building and marketing and new ways of thinking about health/wellness/nutrition.
It's important to note a bit about my background and what I was seeking from the program as a way to frame up this review. I have a strong background in marketing and business so I felt the marketing/business/finance aspects were less relevant for me but a wonderful addition for those who need that foundation. I also already run my own healing practice and was participating in this program mainly as a way to deepen my knowledge around health/wellness/nutrition so that I can offer clients more holistic guidance. For this purpose I found the coaching skills and health/wellness talks inspiring and helpful additions to my existing knowledge base.
Overall, I enjoyed the IIN program and felt compelled and excited to sign in each week and learn. There is a stellar range of speakers and topics which is one of the highlights of the program. There are a lot of diverse perspectives that opened my eyes and inspired me to explore fields I would not have been otherwise privy to. The school also provides abundant toolkits and frameworks for students to utilize and helps students actualize the program into a career which is another highlight. For someone hungry and able to put in the work to begin a career in health coaching, IIN is a great place to start.
However there were three drawbacks from my perspective.
The first being the lack of support once you're enrolled. IIN spends a lot of time and money recruiting students but not a lot of time answering questions along the educational journey. If you're looking for something that feels personalized and supports questioning and digging deeper, this is not that program.
Second, roughly half of the talks and content are dated (5-10+ years old). While the concepts are still relevant the supporting evidence and perspectives have often shifted and/or taken on important new richness in recent years. If you want the most recent findings, perspectives and understandings on a lot of this stuff you'll need to do the digging yourself to fill in the gaps. IIN also refuses to provide dates for the lectures which doesn't make it easier to figure out where to start. I found this lack of transparency to be rather shady.
Third, there are a fair number of talks given by the education department in each module and I often found these lacking in inspiration and engagement. I'd say they make up roughly a fourth of the overall content and while they're not a deal breaker they do make it challenging to pay attention when you're in a self-guided online course.
At the end of the day, I'm glad I did the 6 month program. It helped expand my body of wisdom and inspired me to explore other fields of study like functional medicine. It's a great way to gain exposure to the many different areas of health/wellness, to build your coaching skills and to gain a better understanding of how to build and run your own practice. It's an interesting course of study and most importantly, it's actionable.

Best thing I studied in my life!
Joining IIN was the best thing that happened to me. Aside from finding exactly what I was looking for in terms of program description, I could not but find how much beyond that it went.
This program, is not only well developed in terms of content, but also in terms of teaching methods as it gives hands on implementation and variety of learning methods to meet every learning style. I know this from my background as a teacher.
It is also extremely interesting, how equipped this program allows any health coach to be, whether with the material, or additional learning and the implementation.
This program definitely created an impact on me, which I will surely be able to pass on to others.
So happy to have made that choice of joining IIN.

My Awesome Journey to Healthy Lifestyle
I signed up for IIN because I needed to make a serious change in my life. My passion has always been to look and feel my best no matter what I was going through in life.
IIN has taught me so much about Primary Food and the affects it has on our health. Before IIN, I thought I knew how to be positive and towards the middle of IIN, I realized where the disconnect was. My subconscious was pushing and pulling me away from my true desires in life. Once, I started working on my subconscious and bringing it all to the surface, dealing with it one at a time. My world started to shift in a magnificent way.
Thank you IIN, for all the knowledge and inspiration you have taught me. I am so excited for the launch of my website Healthmindandbody which I decided to focus on helping the people pleasers of the world say “NO” without guilt. I work very closely with my clients using the tools from IIN to help my clients work through their subconscious mind. Once this is accomplished the universe opens for them and their struggles no longer exist.
Again, thank you IIN for giving me the strength and knowledge to set clear intentions for myself and my clients. I wouldn’t be able to accomplish all I am doing without the knowledge and tools IIN has taught me. I am so excited to create the ripple affect of IIN in the world!!

Depends on what you're looking for...
I was already a life coach with multiple certifications when I enrolled in this program, and had the beginnings of a website already up and going.(so I was not interested in the "free website" sample you get charged for after you get it all started. I already knew something like that CAN NOT BE FREE FOREVER! Think about it...)
Instead, I was looking to gain more strategy about using my coaching experience integrating with health coaching, and engaging with new clients, which is what I got. The certification was important to me, as is the fact that several nutrition colleges accept this course as credits for ongoing education.
PRO: 1. great video training on many health-related topics. Lots of experts shared on a huge variety of topics.(some out-dated videos, but I felt like the content was still relevant). Digital learning is of course pre-recorded to maximize our access to so many renowned experts.
2. Did a good job of showing how to pull multiple aspects of a business all together, and where the boundaries are between "counseling" and "health coaching".
3.Great perspectives on how to start at this most basic level finding a specialization. I appreciated the "birds-eye view" perspective they gave about putting it all together.(what I was looking for)
4.The content format was easy to use, and motivating to continue/ complete. (some technical glitches along the way, but these were remedied every time within 24 hors)
5. I had response from the student support services/ coach within 24 hours every time I contacted them
CON's : 1. If you need help with marketing, you'll have to pay a significantly larger amount to a marketing expert, and even more to a web designer. IIN gets you started, and heads you down the path, but you will not have a full-on marketing plan without investing more time/research. (I already had, and this is an area I will have to continue to invest in)
2. I am an independent life-long learner, and have taken college level courses online for years, so the "no interaction" with other students, and/or instructors did not bother me. But be aware: this is not as in-depth/technical as a regular college level course. It is much broader and a great overview, so consider what you need, personally. If you require interaction and dialogue to learn, this might not be the format for you.
3. I, like some other reviewers did not align with the common political views expressed in the 2nd half of the program. (Or religion for that matter, but I also found it helpful to be educated better in what the basis of different beliefs are.) Beware: if you are uncomfortable having your views challenged, without an opportunity to debate or express your opinion, this might not be the environment for you.
FINAL NOTE: There are more expensive programs out there, and cheaper ones, too. I've done several others, and this one is mid-range, and a good "overview", so check your needs vs. options and be smart about that match-up. Overall I am happy with what I got for the price, and how it met the specific needs I have.
