Very satisfied with the service
Very satisfied with the service of IDS. Unfortunately, several of my dance shoes and accessories had been stolen. Fortunately, the sales department was able to have my dance shoes made faster. I have custom-made dance shoes and these normally have a longer delivery time. They also took on the surplus of 1 pair.

Where have you been all my life my pretties!!?
Where have you been all my life? These are the best dance shoes I’ve ever purchased, worth every cent! I bought a pair of round toe ICS ballroom shoes and a pair of Heather SS custom made practice shoes in the hologram fabric and pink soles… I absolutely love them! So does everyone at our studio…Hubby also got a new pair of SS Contra XG practice shoes as his last pair of Internationals have lasted him a good 15+ years, and would probably still be okay except that the sole was falling off (new sole also purchased so he can wear these a little longer- I am a bit late to the party!)
Sizing has always been an issue for me, but Sandra was very helpful and I was able to measure my feet effectively, and now I can’t believe how much difference these shoes have made to my dancing!
Thank you so much International Dance Shoes, I’ll be back for a pair of latin shoes sometime!

Do not order if outside the UK as too expensive to return if problem
The shoes are beautiful but they are too big. When I tried to exchange them, UPS advised it would cost $100 to ship them back to you as IDS does not pay for the mailing on the exchange.

Hi Shannon,
We had a recent review similar to this but UPS is not the only option to ship shoes back - and it's one of the most expensive. USPS cost someone under $30 to a return a pair and they made it back to us in a very timely fashion.
Whilst we wish we could offer a free return/exchange service, we're a medium sized family business in the very expensive industry of making footwear and it's not something that would be sustainable for us.
Understanding that you're based in the US - we work with a lot of fantastic stockists over there and recommend that you take a look at the link to our store locator below. It is possible to order via any of these and support those local businesses as well as benefit from lower shipping prices.

Narrow is not narrow
Narrow is not narrow. Super wide. Size too small. We used foot length in cm and ordered 4 pairs. None of those fit. 500€ down the drain and have to dance next competition with old shoes:/

Good that they explained how to measure the feet. Gillian Ward correctly…
Good that they explained how to correctly measure my feet and I waited to find out if the fit was good, before sending for a second pair in a different colour. I now have all I need. Very useful moveable buckle to fit into ready made holes to allow for width changes when feet swell up in very hot weather, and then back to normal fit when feet go back to normal size. I can now unsubscribe.
