These guys will continue to charge your card after your subscription is cancelled and they will not refund your money. Do not believe their inevitable response below. They have been known to do this and will continue to do this.
Shame on you Internations!

Accidentally signed up with two emailadresses (messy head) and had the 14 days trial at the same time and clearly didn't make use of both accounts because I'm just one person and people make mistakes. Some organisations do the right thing some don't. This organisation clearly doesn't care and only want the money and it's a lot of money. I tried to contact customer service multiple times but they were so poor in their (very very slow) communication.

DO NOT JOIN. Yet another scam site. I was connected to several people and received nothing but automated responses that had no bearing on the subject. Just a series of "how are you today" messages. I attempted a zoom newcomers get together. It was plainly stated to start at 10:00am on a tuesday. When I tried to join it claimed to have been over for 3 hours. I have sent repeated emails to their "contact" link and have never had a response. This reminds me of a scam site from years ago, which had identical issues. I feel like I need to change my bank account number before someone cleans out my account.

I am glad that Internations took the proper steps to review a impersonator's profile when I reported my suspicions. I could have simply blocked the user but I feel it is important to keep this Conmmunity safe. Recently there has been more spams than ever before. I am glad the action was taken so I feel safe to be part of this wonderful Conmmunity.

a good filter of quality people where I met in 2 events attened.
always proposing young and healthy active events which I adore.
ambassadores are generous, and have postive attitudes.
So far, I am enjoying my experience with InterNations as they are open-minded, trustworthy, they help and answer all questions. It is a great community where I feel safe to share and just be. There are plenty of events for all tastes so life as an expat is definitely better due to them.
They love your money .... don't enter!! SCAM!!
My yearly subscription was renewed on 16. January by accident. I wanted to cancel the subscription, but somehow it went wrong and by accident it was paid anyway.
I contacted Customer Support immediately on 16. January 2024 and requested a refund ... They responded the next day that they could not identify me from my sender email address (!) which is strange as it hasn't changed for decades and is the same email address I received all InterNation notifications and messages ...
I responded immediately sending my last invoice with invoice-number and client-number ....
Then, silence .... I sent a reminder, sent another reminder, and once again requested support through the website ... No answer.
Total silence ... No response, nothing ...
Now 1. February ... I have sent a number of emails and support requests ... they totally ignore my request. Not a single answer ... horrible customer service.
They are happy to receive our money, but in no way willing to support us.
5. February: Sent another couple of support requests - absolute silence - no reaction at all - we as members don't mean anything to them !!! Pure cash-cow for the owners ...
15. February: They responded to this review by the message below. The ask me not to send more support requests as it will not help. So, I did not. Now 4 weeks ago my first message - and NO RESPONSE.
It makes no difference - this SCAM company simply will NOT respond to any customer requests ...

It is so hard to unsubscribe from the yearly subscription, which they automatically sign you up for.
It was impossible to get a refund for my yearly subscription although i never needed it.
When i emailed them regarding it, they never responded.
Really poor customer service.

I feel that it is difficult to apply to join the international community, and the selection may be stricter. Perhaps because of this, this kind of community has higher quality.
Hello!
I am Wellars Habagusenga from Rwanda Country
I have Bachelor's Degree from University of Rwanda in Office Administration and Management
I am experienced over seven years for this experience over five are from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation
I joined InterNations in August 2023 thinking they would help with my travels and meeting like minded individuals. What I found out that it is a scam once they have your credit card information. I joined the Albatross program and have been trying to cancel since October. I contacted their support since my password was not working to cancel my membership and did not receive any assistance or response. Since then I have disputed their charge with my credit card company and blocked charges from them, but being the scam they are they bypass the block by changing their billing identification each month. Per my credit card company they also fail to provide any information regarding the disputed charge. DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT join or give them your credit card information.
Scam! Scam!! Scam!!!
Internations.org is a scam website. They will get your credit card details while registering on their website and call it trial membership, they will never notify you or remind you about payment, so they will secretly try to charge you 1 year membership.

Scam! Scam!! Scam!!!
Internations.org is a scam website. They will get your credit card details while registering on their website and call it trial membership, they will never notify you or remind you about payment, so they will secretly try to charge you 1 year membership. If after they tried to remove your money and it didn't work (you don't have money in your card), they will now say you are owning debt. That's stupidity of the highest order. What a fu!k??? Is it a by force debt? In my entire life, I have never seen where any subscription was made by force, what every subscription does is if you didn't pay or your payment system didn't work after trial period, your premium membership will be deactivated. But this stupid internation.org is trying to scam. How will you said someone is indebted to you? How? Is it by force to buy your subscription? Or is it a cult that if one register, the person must buy premium subscription by force? It seems you guys are stupid!!!
Internations is ok for gathering if you have a good instinct and wise to judge people character.
I did some social experiment here for find my curiosity what the Internation about.
1. May scammers and fake. Be careful with man here and woman too sometimes it looks like dating site. man will boasting their fake job or real as they are manager, lawyer or work for government or etc for chasing woman.
Quiet sick behaviour also. If you reject the man for their opinion or whatever reason you don't want go out with them, the man will bad mouth you for other members .Because you ( I am a woman ) stand up for myself avoiding from this type weird, have sick mentally and hidden loneliness man that's why they so desperate chase you even contact your profile with many messages and give any manipulate ideas for going out with him.
so please protect yourself and don't let your guard down.
These people here looks like have a good job or talking fake jobs that's some of them are just bum ( jobless) , stealing people identity especially expat or new comer in a new country and scammer.
Have been report to the Internation management, looks like the company are a scammers who support scammers for member of Internation.
Be smart before you regret!

I am being hounded by InterNations for a debt I do not believe that I owe them.
I have asked them for sight of the contract they say they are using to demand the money but they have ignored that request.
I have informed them in writing on two occasions that I no longer wish to be a member but they have ignored that as well.
They are now threatening me with debt recovery agents if I do not pay them within 48 hours, saying they are following German law.
I have again written asking for someone to discuss this but instead I receive what I assume to be a computer generated response saying that most of the team are out of the office for the holiday and that there will be a delay in a reply. No such latitude is extended to me as a customer over the Christmas period. It makes me wonder whether the threat of debt recovery was deliberately sent two days before Christmas with a 48 hour deadline.
I would advise anyone thinking of joining this organisation as a member to think very carefully about what they are getting into. It seems to me that once you are in, it is extremely difficult to leave - while they keep wanting to take your money.
They are cheater. Please do not register on their website. They only want to charge your credit card!!!
