Issues

I was impressed by the delivery timescales but have had a few problems. Firstly, I hadn't realised that the bike is not capable of pedalling backwards. This has caused issues on the road as it makes it very difficult to get moving. I have taken it out once and had this problem every time I stop.

The other big issue is that on the way home my pedal actually fell off in the road and will now not screw in correctly.

I tried to order for delivery at my…

I tried to order for delivery at my vacation home in another EU country and the site keeps giving errors for Postal Code (while de postal code is correct). The helpdesk advised to try other browsers, which I did but this didn't help. I received a nice message to have it delivered in my home country!

Once my comment was taken seriously, it was quickly solved! Thank you .. an I placed my order

I ordered a bike for my wife to be delivered to England.

I ordered a bike for my wife to be delivered to England and the service from start to finish was excellent!!....also the bike arrived, well packaged up in a sturdy box and within 5 days!!
The bike itself is absolutely brilliant and looks superb!!
My wife is exceptionally happy with it as it's just what she was after.....and in fact better!!.....also ordered a wicker basket to hook on the front which finishes the look off nicely.
All in all a first class purchase and I would thoroughly recommend. I will in fact be purchasing more soon as both my daughters are after one now!!

No accountability for my order

I wanted a bike for my daughters birthday. Before ordering I spoke with a customer service rep who assured me that delivery would only be a few days. 4 days later that the DHL tracking code still isnt even active, suggesting it hasn't been delivered to DHL yet or its lost!

I have checked DHL several times a day for days and spoken to multiple staff who say someone will get back to me. But nobody is actually helping me with any information. At this rate I will have no birthday present at all for my daughter this weekend and a VERY upset house. :( So so upsetting...

And. To this I had to option of picking a bike up from somewhere else but I was assured by your team...

High quality bikes!But comes with loose chains that cant be done by any ordinary no bike knowledge person!And the pedals dont go backwards

Bought online received after 4 days to Ireland. Bikes are packaged very well. The Amigo brand is their own and for the affordable price, its very high quality compared to the ones I found on Amazon in which one I returned as its fully unassembled,flat tires and low quality plasticky handles and more expensive than Amigo brand btw. I was hesitant to order at first because of the low ratings here but I took the risk. They dont look cheap and very well made, all covered in a bag; tires, handles everything are sturdy. It comes complete with bell,front and back racks with rope to handle books etc, 2 lights which you cannot find as an extra on a normal bike bought from Ireland or Uk.Im not sure though about their return policy. Im sure it would be a headache returning to to the Netherlands. They also email you straightaway with assembly instructions even if it comes with bikes. The bikes are also 90% assembled so not much to worry with. If im being nitpicky, can you please make the handle bar joint/screw loose a bit. It was so tight I couldnt undo it to adjust the handle bar and has to get a man to do it. I had to install a separate training wheels and it was dead tight too. And second, I was looking to buy training wheels but the postage jumped up 18euro additional so I didnt bother. I hope you can find a way to consolidate postage fee. For example, even if i buy just a small bell, it would cost 18euro additional postage on top of the bikes postage fee which is not economical. UPDATE 22-5-20:. Although the bikes are high quality and properly packaged, Im changing my review. Every household who knows simple things to assemble a bike gets a bike with a tight done already chain. Apparently, these bikes come with loose chains and if you have no knowledge about how to tighten bike chains, you still need to send the bike to an expert. Im being advised by this company to send to a bike shop to do the job and there's no shop open because of the pandemic and we are left with 2 unusable bikes with 2 unhappy kids. Its a common sense for this company to think that every household has no clue to do chains and theyre suppose to send even if the bikes unassembled, the chains should be ready to use as it cannot be done by any ordinary person who had no knowledge on it. They should place a disclaimer on the website, if not opted for assembly,that bikes have to be sent to bike expert to do chains. I have been buying kids bikes throughout the years and this is the first time I received a loose chained bike even the completely unassembled bike I returned before came with a tight chain. This is unbelievable! Update 25-05-20....... We got the chains tighten for 40euro now guess whats the problem next, the chain went off while pedalling it and thats after sending them to a bike specialist. Second this bikes wont pedal backwards so my child end up crying because when both pedals are in mid level, she cant get the momentum to push the pedal forward which you normally gets in a bike where you pedal backwards to reposition the pedals so you can push forward. What a nightmare!

Bad service

I ordered a bike part from them. The order was supposed to be delivered from Bladel to Eindhoven. It's been more than 9 days and the order is nowhere to be found. The DHL track and trace number they gave says that no shipment with that number exists. Have contacted them at least 4 times only to hear that they have started investigating. Cannot cancel the order. So, I am practically stuck. Never ordering from them again.

Beware of payment page errors!!! Order duplicated

Ordered a bike for our daughters birthday. On the payment page a message showed up saying payment didn't go through and to try an alternative payment method. I tried again and still wasn't sure payment went through although no message this time. Checked order history and 2 orders had been placed. There is no way to automatically cancel an order, as with Amazon, the order must be cancelled by email. I emailed internet-bikes immediately cancelling the order. I also cancelled via there online chat facility. The next day I contacted internet-bikes via online chat to check if the order had been cancelled as requested. I was told that they had not cancelled my order and that I would have two bike delivered. I was advised that I could refuse the delivery at the door step and the courier may return the goods. If the good were returned I would then get a refund. Very very poor customer experience so far. Their system doesn't work very well.

However, our system is fully automated and fast and therefore it is not possible to cancel it once you have placed the order. This is also clearly stated in the confirmation email.

Excellent website

Excellent website! I bought 4 items on friday 02 august and delivered on saturday 03 in Belgium !!! I was nervous because of rating I've read about this website but it's a really good deal... thank you very much.

Poor quality impression and no help with returning the bike from Germany

I have ordered a Desire Merano 28 Inch Bike on July 15 to Germany. The bike that I have received gave a very poor quality Impression to me. I have therefore canceled the order and asked TOM BV in several calls and e-mails for help with the return shipping of the bike. The help was declined. If I order as private customer the freight it costs about 150 € to return. For a bike price of 239 €. I'm totally dissatisfied. My order number is 1296657 MY invoice number is 3159518

Fast shipping good products

Ordered a few times on the website, so far I'm satisfied. I only order parts or accessories. I ști prefer to get a bike in a store to try out first, but this is just my opinion.

Bent fork

Bought a bike in September and the front fork was bent. The wheel wasn't centered. Contacted Internet bikes they sent a replacement fork. The fork didn't fit wrong length /diameter. Contacted again they sent another one and it was the same wrong fork even shorter length. Spent hours in the process. Eventually gave up. Not recommended.

No working guarantee, bad customer service, e-bike.

I bought 2 e-bikes from internet-bikes.com (Holland), stupidly thinking that all EU companies have a good guarantee policy. The first problem with one of the bikes appeared in a week after arrival, when contacting internet-bikes.com for advice and help the only reply was a copy from their site stating that the customer has to send them the faulty part on his own expense and they will send me a new one IF they think it is a guarantee problem. - Not so easy when the fault is somewhere in the electric system! Googling a lot I solved that problem my self in the end. After an other week the other e-bike died, got no reply at first from internet-bikes.com, and then got some stupid suggestions ( I'd already conducted all the tests I could think of and knew the fault to be either in the motor or controller) about the battery (-charge it,- is it connected) showing that the company knows nothing, or doesn't care, about e-bikes. After this I've had no reply.
- Summary: I have an e-bike that doesn't work (Peugeot) after 2 weeks of use (now 3 months), no help from internet-bikes.com. You need to have your own e-bike expert and be prepared to pay for parts and delivery on your own even during the "guarantee-period" if you buy from this company. Peugeot & Bafang (the motor supplier) have not helped at all either.
