Very irritating, used the tool last year the experience was much better. This time around ate away credits and got nothing in return hence cancelled the subscription. No support, very confusing platform, will not use the platform anymore.
Even after giving multiple prompts the video is never completed, I redo everything and the credits are gone asking me to resubscribe.
I am an Associate Professor from Ukraine, working in a war zone. I paid for the Plus Tier to prepare educational materials, but InVideo failed me completely. The system glitched, wasted all my credits on errors, and now refuses to let me download even the fragments it generated. I have zero video and zero money. This is an absolute disgrace and a scam. I demand an immediate refund!
I am extremely disappointed with Invideo’s predatory billing and refund policy.
My subscription was auto-renewed without any prior notification. As soon as I realized the charge, I immediately cancelled it. However, I discovered their UI is designed to be deceptive—it processes the cancellation for the next year while keeping the current payment, with no option for an immediate refund request.
The support team (Patrick) acknowledged that I have NOT used the service at all (Zero usage) since the renewal. Despite this, they are refusing a refund based on their "7-day policy" and a ridiculous claim about "AI compute resources" being allocated—even though no videos were ever generated.
Charging a customer for a service they haven't used and didn't intend to renew is an unfair trade practice. I have already initiated a chargeback dispute with my credit card company and will not recommend this service to anyone.
Beware of their dark patterns and hidden renewal traps!
I was having an issue with my project, but they solved it for me with quick&neat assistance stemming from the AI chat to actual help from an agent🤩
I subscribed to InVideo AI specifically for Arabic video creation. The Egyptian Arabic support is completely non-functional — the output sounds robotic, unnatural, and unusable for real Arabic content. When I requested a refund, they hid behind their usage policy even though the core feature I paid for simply does not work. Using a broken feature to test it is not the same as using a working product. Their support team has no escalation path and no real solutions. Save your money if you need genuine Arabic content creation — this is not the tool for you
Excellent product. Easy to use with great output. Prompt and professional service from their support team.
I subscribed to InVideo for a school project expecting an easy-to-use AI video generator. Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing.
The platform is much harder to use than advertised. The editing process is confusing, and the generated videos were low quality and often didn’t match what I asked for. It took very little time to realize that this tool was not usable for my project.
Here’s the main issue:
their refund policy makes it practically impossible to try the product risk-free.
I only tested the platform briefly and:
Did not download or use any final videos
Cancelled my subscription immediately after realizing it wasn’t suitable
Only generated content as part of testing the tool
Despite this, my refund request was denied because a video was “generated.” This means you cannot realistically evaluate the product without losing your right to a refund.
That’s a major red flag for anyone considering subscribing.
If you’re a student or need something reliable, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. I had a much better experience with Google Vids — it’s more intuitive, the output quality is significantly better, and it’s more reasonably priced.
Overall, I would not recommend this platform unless you’re willing to take the risk of paying for something you may not be able to use — with no refund.
As a professional content creator, I invested $250 into Invideo expecting a functional tool. Instead, I encountered a fundamental system failure: the AI demands a "Media ID" for audio syncing that is entirely absent from the user interface. I spent over 10 hours of my professional time troubleshooting their internal bugs—time I can never recover.
The response from their Support Lead, Kenny, is a masterclass in corporate dishonesty. He denied my refund by claiming "substantial usage." Let’s look at the facts: I used exactly 22 credits. >
To characterize 22 credits—a tiny fraction of an annual plan—as "substantial" is a deliberate misrepresentation of data to circumvent consumer protection laws. Furthermore, citing "GPU costs" as an excuse for a defective product is irrelevant; backend infrastructure costs are a business risk, not a liability for a customer sold a non-functional service.
This is a clear case of "Service Not as Described" and "Unjust Enrichment." I have already initiated a formal chargeback with my bank and will provide this exchange to regulatory authorities as evidence of predatory business practices.
Potential users: Do not be misled by their marketing. Their platform is broken, and their refund policy is a trap.
SCAM. Do NOT buy. Their AI completely ignores your instructions — I asked for exterior footage, got interior rooms. Asked for video, got static images. Asked for wildfire scenes, got car washing. Wasted all credits on garbage output. Then they REFUSED my refund even though I was within their "7-day refund policy." Their cancellation button is BROKEN — gives an error. Three different support agents gave me the runaround for hours. They keep offering useless credits instead of a refund. Had to file a bank chargeback to get my money back. Save your $25 and use HeyGen instead — it actually works.
AVOID INVIDEO.
I subscribed to the Max Plan ($100) and requested a refund within 2 hours because the AI output was inconsistent and contained hallucinations. Despite having ZERO exports and ZERO downloads, their support (Sam) and supervisor (Kenny) refused the refund, claiming 'backend GPU costs.' This is an unfair business practice. If you don't download anything, they still keep your $100. I have initiated a chargeback with my bank. Avoid this platform if you value your consumer rights! Invideo.io is not worth the money. Once you pay, they do not care if you are happy with the service or not.
The video quality is very low compared to the high price.
When I complained, they said: 'AI-generated media is still an evolving technology, and while it continues to improve, results may not always be perfect.'
They use this as an excuse to keep your money.
They refuse to give a full refund for bad service, and they won't even give a partial refund for the credits I didn't use. I do not recommend this service.

Almost impossible to cancel this service. They kept charging my account since the beginning of this year. I asked to remove the change and stop and they won't

I recently subscribed to the InVideo AI Plus plan ($25) expecting the professional-grade results they advertise. Instead, the output was incredibly poor and completely unusable for my niche (Historical Human Biology).
When I requested a refund within 24 hours (well within their 7-day window), their support agents (Tushar/Rex) repeatedly refused, using a lame excuse about "upfront compute costs." This is a total trap: you have to use a few credits to see if the quality is actually good, but as soon as you do, they claim you aren't eligible for a refund.
Their marketing is misleading, and their customer service is robotic, hiding behind templated "no-refund" policies rather than standing by their product quality. It’s a classic bait-and-switch.
I have already stopped using the service and will be initiating a formal bank chargeback for "Services Not as Described." If you value your money and need actual quality AI video, stay far away from InVideo. They care more about stealing $25 than they do about customer satisfaction.

TOTAL SCAM COMPANY AVOID INVIDEO!
I paid for an entry level subscription of $45 per month to make AI video. The credits used suddenly went from about 15 to 300 for a video about three minutes. I tried to upgrade my package to a higher level and pay for ONE MONTH, but was charged for ONE YEAR at $720. Three hours later I contacted the company to ask for a refund and was told I WOULD NOT RECEIVE A REFUND. This company is a FRAUDULENT SCAM.

Really bad product, long queues and only lets you do one action at a time

They get you in by showing fantastic videos, and for a few hundred bucks, you can do the same. NOT TRUE! First, you only get so many credits, and to produce anything decent, you'll have to spend another 50 bucks or so per one min video to get the decent generated images, and professional editing HOWEVER, their editor does not work, and they refer you to other software. I want my money back, but of course I kept at it, and spent too much money, I am tech savey, there are much better programs out there. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!

I uploaded multiple videos and images to InVideo and provided a highly detailed prompt to generate a marketing video for my website. I work with various AI tools regularly, so I understand the importance of clear and specific prompting. I even refined my prompt with the help of another AI tool to ensure clarity and detail.
The result was extremely disappointing. Instead of generating a polished marketing video, the output resembled a basic GIF — mostly static foreground elements with minimal background animation. The composition was unrealistic (for example, placing a yacht on a concrete surface), and the overall rendering quality was very poor. The final result looked nothing like the promotional examples shown in their advertisements.
On top of the poor output, the generation process froze and failed during rendering. The platform provides little feedback during processing, and the interface feels incomplete — as if certain action buttons or controls are missing. Navigation is not intuitive, and the overall user experience feels unpolished.
I requested a refund due to what I consider misleading expectations based on their marketing materials, but was informed that refunds are not possible.
I rarely leave reviews unless an experience is exceptionally good or exceptionally bad. In this case, the experience was frustrating enough that I felt compelled to share it. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this platform.
Save your money and your time.
Did not follow prompts at all. Used odd stock footage instead of the imagery I provided. Failed to balance audio. It needs a lot more training before it's ready for prime time. Customer support did work with me to provide a refund (email NOT through chat).

Spend a ton of money. And let me tell you. The first prompt you put in and results blow you away. You think a few tweaks left and right and it's flawless. Couldn't imagined better. And then is where the trouble starts. The options for editing are there but not working. Characters are often replaced by new face throughout scenes. You see two characters mouth move or from 1 when narrator speaks. They have a so called lip sync and prompt for fixing. Guess again it don't work as you would like. The support is there and responsive but not giving the solutions. So you will end up with a video paid for 100% and more for edits. Then ending up being 90% finished with 10% not good. End result. Unsuable for company purposes with all errors, different facial characters and more. DON'T PUT YOUR MONEY HERE. GO ELSEWHERE. If these creators were good enough to make this. Let the fix these dumb mistakes.
My video is: 3rneZjKvDYA
Thanks for nothing and stealing my money.
