Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 125 reviews, most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. Many people found the platform frustrating and riddled with glitches, leading to a terrible user experience. The pricing model was consistently described as expensive and a money drain, with many feeling they were being nickel-and-dimed through constant credit purchases. This led to a perception of poor value for money, as credits often ran out quickly. Customers also frequently reported issues with the product's output, such as low-quality or unusable videos that often did not follow prompts. Many experienced problems with voice-overs being unclear or out of sync, and the platform often failed to deliver expected results. Furthermore, many users felt misled by the subscription terms, encountering a lack of transparency regarding credit usage and strict no-refund policies.

It has been an amazing tool to use. Unfortunately, i did not realise that studio.invideo and invideo.ai are two different platforms and carry two different subscriptions. When I subscribed to invideo.ai I thought I was subscribing to both the platforms.

This system is glitchy and absolutely…

This system is glitchy and absolutely horrible especially considering the price paid. When given specific prompts with time stamps included Invideo consistently did not make the edits requested. Do note that "credits" were paid to make the edits. Sometimes when an edit is made the edit completed was the opposite of what was prompted (i.e. scale character smaller so that character fits on the screen - the result was a character even larger). Also experienced was the face of a character changing somewhere in the video. A clear prompt was provided along with time stamp where the change occurred and an edit requested. Invideo responded it made the changes but the changes had not been made. This occurred consistently. Credits were approved to cover the edits requested. There are many, many examples similar to this.

I began using Invideo yesterday. I found that the use of Invideo was not a good exchange of money, time and energy for the output of Invideo (errors, time, and failure of Invideo to complete edits as prompted. I requested a refund. Customer service held that no refunds would be given because credits had been used.

Invideo has a form that you are to complete to request a refund. You must note that you agree with Invideo's refund policy in order to simply complete the form. I did not check the box noting that I agree with Invader's refund policy. Prior to seeing the form I had already requested a refund through email.

Since Invideo's customer service held to the line I could not have a refund I figured I would give it another try. I found the more I worked at it the worst it actually got. Specifically, I experienced a higher number of edits not occurring although the response from the platform was that the edit occurred. Glitches and changes that had not originally existed occurred at different places in the video. When reaching out to Customer Service I was informed I need to choose a version.???? ???

Essentially, none of the versions had been completed in accordance to prompted edits given with clear and concise wording for that included time stamps. Edits require a usage of credits. Imagine prompting edits and approving the use of credits for edits that do not occur - consistently. It is unfortunate that Customer Service does not seem to understand the latter is not okay.

My experience with Invideo has occurred from 02/02-03/2026.

Hello Weona,

Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We genuinely appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention, and we'd like to address the issues you experienced.

We've reviewed the commands you shared in your screenshot. The Magic Box is designed for simple, straightforward edits like "add subtitles," "change background music," "adjust voiceover speed," or "make the video brighter."

The commands you were using were extremely detailed and specific, including precise timestamps, multiple simultaneous changes, and complex audio/visual adjustments. Unfortunately, the Magic Box isn't optimized to handle this level of detailed instruction in a single command.

For the type of detailed edits you needed (specific timing adjustments, character positioning, audio echo removal, volume balancing at specific timestamps), we recommend editing the script and media manually through the editor interface. This gives you direct control over each element rather than relying on AI interpretation of complex instructions.

The audio echo you mentioned is from the generative media itself. This can be controlled by manually adjusting the audio levels in the editor rather than through Magic Box commands.

We noticed you were working through multiple iterations and credit usage. If you had connected with our support team via chat early in the process, we could have guided you on:

> Which edits work best through Magic Box vs. manual editing
> How to structure commands for better results
> How to manually adjust elements like audio echo, character positioning, and timing

We've processed your subscription cancellation request as you asked. We genuinely wish we could have helped you achieve your vision for the video, and we're sorry the experience didn't meet your expectations.

If you're working on complex projects with detailed requirements, we strongly encourage reaching out to our 24/7 support team early in the process. We're here to help you understand the best approach for your specific needs and can guide you on which features work best for different types of edits.

We appreciate your feedback.

Bait and Switch

Bait and Switch. I wanted to try the product out. It said Free. It is Free to spend hours creating a video with their slow glitching system, but the only way to export it is to buy an overpriced subscription. That is like saying you get a free apartment. Move all your stuff in, but if you want to live in it you have to pay.

⭐ 1-Star Review for InVideo.io

⭐ 1-Star Review for InVideo.io

I subscribed to InVideo AI expecting a simple way to turn my PowerPoint presentations into narrated videos for teaching. Not even one hour later, I realized it didn’t work as expected — there was no clear way to upload my PPTX as advertised, and the interface was confusing.

I never even used the service beyond completing the demo/free version before subscribing. When I asked for a refund — just minutes after subscribing — support refused and pointed to a rigid “no refund” policy. Instead of helping, they offered credits I didn’t want or need.

For educators or creators looking for a simple tool: test the free version thoroughly before paying. Because once you subscribe, you're stuck — even if the service doesn’t work for you. Very disappointing experience and poor customer-first approach.

Hello Natelya,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We apologise for the confusion and frustration you experienced.

After reviewing your account and the conversation with our support team, we'd like to clarify what happened and acknowledge where we fell short.

When you created your video on the Free plan (before subscribing), you used our Script to Video feature. You took the text content from your PowerPoint slides and pasted it as a script, which our AI then turned into a video. You did not upload a PPTX file directly; instead, you shared the script/text content from your slides.

This same workflow is available on both the Free plan and paid plans. The confusion arose because:

You were looking for a way to upload PPTX files directly (which our platform doesn't support)
Our support team initially didn't clarify that you had actually used the Script to Video workflow on the Free plan, not a PowerPoint upload feature

You can absolutely continue using the same Script to Video workflow you used before subscribing:

- Copy the text/script from your PowerPoint slides
- Paste it into invideo
- Add any images or video files you want to include using the "Add files" option that appears after entering your prompt
- Generate your video

This workflow is identical on both Free and paid plans.

Our Mistake:
We made an error during our chat conversation by not immediately checking when your video was created (December 28th, before your subscription). We should have verified this detail sooner and provided clearer guidance about the Script to Video workflow you were already successfully using.

We genuinely regret that this experience was frustrating for you, especially when you're working on creating over 100 videos for educational purposes. That's a significant project, and we understand the time pressure you're under.

If you'd like assistance with understanding how to use the Script to Video workflow more efficiently for your remaining subscription period, our support team is available 24/7 at ai.invideo.io/support.

Thank you for your feedback. It helps us improve our customer support and communication.

Avoid Invideo.....Poor Quality Videos

Avoid Invideo at all costs. They provide low quality unusable videos. I observed mixed reviews before subscribing, but thought I would give it a shot. I typed in a script for a short 10-second video with subtitles. The subtitle wording was inaccurate and illegible. I made a request to edit and correct the video, and they wanted more credits to fix their mistake, so I was left with an unusable video.

I then tried to produce a 3-minute video with a full step by step script, and it kept freezing up stating it couldn't complete the request.

I reached out within 7 days requesting a refund, and was told since I created a video, even an unusable one, I didn't qualify for a refund. Don't waste your money on this sub-par company. I'll be using Grok moving forward.

I purchased extra credits after having issues generating. I spent $175.00 in credits but only used 75.00 worth. Two weeks later those credits were completely gone. I was told they had expired. Apparently, your credits are reset at the beginning of every subscription renewal and you lose all that you had. So, I had that money stolen from me. I was told that is the same company policy for everyone as if that some how makes it okay. This is a horrible business model. Buyer beware.

It simply doesn't work

It simply doesn't work. The selection of footage is dreadful. Signed up for a month and produced 4 videos but ended up having to un-stitch them and complete in another programme as the footage it either selected from stock or generated was either completely wrong or just plain awful. And yes, try and fix and guess what - you run out of paid credits! (time to top up folks and 'upgrade' to yet another tier! This is not ready for paying customers - so don't get stung

Extremely Disappointing Experience with…

Extremely Disappointing Experience with Invideo A Total Waste of Money

I have rarely experienced customer service as poor as invideo . Their AI video tool simply does not work. I created a video that only needed a minor adjustment, but instead the AI completely remade the entire video from scratch. I then had to spend even more money trying to restore the original version without a voiceover, because the synchronization was totally off. Apparently, that’s what 700 DKK gets you in their system.

After spending an additional 300 DKK to fix the issues, the AI ruined the video again – this time the woman in the video didn’t even have a head(!).

At that point, I requested a refund and asked to have my account deleted, because I had received absolutely nothing usable for the 900 DKK I had spent. I was promised a refund, but after 10 days nothing had happened. When I contacted support again, they suddenly refused to refund me at all. They even refused to retrieve the original support ticket, despite it clearly existing in their system.

To make things worse, I was bounced between four different support agents, none of whom bothered to read or follow the previous conversation. All I got was resistance and zero help.

My clear recommendation: Do not! spend money on OpenAI’s video products. The system is unstable, expensive, and the customer service is completely unprofessional. I’ve never felt so misled.

Please I hope someone reads this and saves their money. This is such a scam, there is premium generation mentioned but that is not video minutes like it might seem but instead it allows you to use stock videos. So for the plus subscription it gives you enough credits for one video and it will create it poorly. You might not even be able to finish the one video by the time you finish editing it will already be asking you to add credits. Oh then there is the refund, they basically will not refund you once you have tried anything in the app. Get a chat gpt subscription and it will be so much better for any video generation. PLEASE don't give this awful money grab any more money
