Did a Data Analyst course in 2024. Was amazed by the quality of the course and how much I learned from the experience! Without a doubt, the best experience of that year!
- Everything is incredibly fast-paced => don’t mess around learning things you don’t need (e.g. saw one other data analyst bootcamp that was teaching R and Bash…)
- High-quality study resources to learn technologies, analysis techniques and thinking frameworks => allows you to be in the same “Einstein” mode you experience every time there is 1h before the deadline => total clarity
- Incredible coaches that save you ~2h of googling every time you talk to them
- Outstanding career coaches who transform your STAR responses into something that actually gets you hired

I'd completed a data analysis course but didn't have the confidence or experience do get into a data job and spend a long time failing to get into an apprenticeship.
This experience accelerator gave me the theory and well needed experience. Unmatched.

Also as I've been out of the job finances were an issue but whereas the course would have coated me thousands, you only have to pay a deposit and don't pay until you're earning over £30k.

I've just finished the program and already been contacted by a few recruiters. I highly recommend!

This course was better than I expected it to be! I landed a job before the course finished due to the confidence boost that it gave me! I would have given the full 5-stars but there is always room for improvement, there were a few scheduling errors that left me missing out on a few sessions due to availability but will put that down to human error.

The key takeaway is, you get out of this program what you put in! Whether you’re starting from scratch (like I did) or building on what you already know there is support for all levels. I came in with zero data skills and left feeling job-market ready, thanks to the hands-on projects we worked on. Forget boring lectures – it’s all about activities and project-based learning, which actually makes the skills stick.

I have over 10years of work experience but the program definitely built up my confidence and I was given credit when it was due based on the hard work that I put in. I’ve learnt so much, met so many people and I’d definitely recommend this programme.

Lastly, what can I say about the coaches, they are ready to support whenever you are feeling overwhelmed or anxious about any challenge, they open your mind and teach you a new way of thinking, they really do want you to succeed! I do feel for them when they are not getting the responses or interaction they need to make their sessions engaging, but they did what they could with what they had!

I joined cohort 7 back in April 2024, and at first I was skeptical. I read the reviews and the website, and I am glad I joined. Some people will have bad experiences, and those people go into this program expecting a job immediately from iO-Sphere whilst putting in very little effort or work.

I would say that if you join this program it will be one of the best ways to help kick-start that career in data.

You will have to put in the effort.
You have to be engaging.
You have to study hard and apply yourself.

If you do these things, you will come out of it much better because of it. The "Apply" stage where you get hands on with real data and work in a simulated company environment helped me hone my skills and I was able to use the knowledge I learnt and cement it in my arsenal.

After the 10 week program, I was able to get interviews a lot easier than before because of my skills and experience - while hitting the quota iO-Sphere set you. It was tangible that the efforts I exerted in the course started to show dividends, where I was able to pass technical tests with ease and my knowledge of how to be a data analyst was at a higher level. If you're debating whether to join, then let me say this - the course will be a good way to help you set yourself apart against all the other aspiring data analyst/engineers that have 0 experience.

I went in to this course with many questions and a lot of skepticism . Once the actual sessions began I was very sure that I was part of something real and genuine.

I had zero understanding of SQL or Power BI before the course started. The coaches kept saying that if you kept up with the curriculum then the skills will stick. I wasn't as confident but I carried on. By about week 6 I felt my ability to perform Joins and CTE's was more than adequate to complete the SQL related tasks.

The whole experience shouldn't be taken lightly. It is very intense and challenging. The drills and sessions are designed to stress and push you to work to tough timeframes. It can be difficult to approach each one with the same enthusiasm and energy, again due to the fact that they are so frequent. My best advice would be to put the energy into the areas that you want to develop the most.

Overall I would highly recommend the course if you want to learn data analysis. Even if you have no prior experience or computer knowledge. Having said this, I would approach this as more as an educational experience. Do not go in thinking a job will magically turn up at the end of the course. You need to be doing the job search yourself as the course goes on. The coaches do help you design your CV and LinkedIn towards looking more appealing to data analyst roles.

Final note, excellent and inclusive course to learn data analytics. It will not give you a job at the end, you have to be putting yourself out there for employment.

I had been trying to study in my spare time for the best part of a year before starting the iO-Sphere Data Analysis course, so I had a foundation in the technical skills but iO-Sphere built on them hugely. More important than the technical side: iO-Sphere gave me experience in projects, teamwork, presentations etc. all things that can't be learned on your own.
Throughout the application process I assumed that this was some sort of scam because the learn-now-pay-later system that financially motivates iO-Sphere to help you find a job seemed too good to be true. iO-Sphere was also able to offer some financial support due to my circumstances, which only raised further suspicion from me of course! After a lot of time spent picking over the contract I decided to go for it and I'm so happy I did; it was clear from day 1 of the course that the coaches really cared about both teaching us the skills we needed, and preparing us for the job market.
I have been lucky/successful enough to get a 6-8 week contract with one of iO-Sphere's employer partners which means a payslip and the course fees waived! I still need to find permanent employment for when that contract ends but I'll have the support from iO-Sphere to help me achieve that as well.

Learning at iO-Sphere was a great experience for me. I am happy I had the opportunity to learn something new. The coaches were all really good and they focus on the practical skills you need (not just technical) to be ready for the workplace. As for the technicals, working on real world business problems while learning teamwork, presentation and creating impact makes this a very unique training. This was really good! Thank you for the opportunity.

Great coaches - engaging, experienced, and invested in your success.

There were a couple issues with scheduling and miscommunications around some sessions but, although annoying, the impact was minimal.

Rarely there will be an imperfectly designed session but they are consistently iterating on their course material and taking on valuable feedback from students so I'm sure any issues I found in the sessions will be removed for subsequent cohorts!

Fast-paced and content-rich, you will see yourself improve your technical and soft skills week-on-week and come out the other end with what feels like a year's worth of experience as a Data Analyst in a real business context.

I think that the real life scenarios were key to the learning process

I've got a job! iO-Sphere believed in me, trained me, gave me invaluable experience with real data, and supported my job hunting.
The rules are really simple, and you are expected to work hard but when you see the skills you're acquiring and compare your first presentation to your most recent, you really start to appreciate just how much you're learning. Then getting that first interview and then the job offer - the sense of achievement is incredible.

Overall, my experience with the IO-Sphere program was surprisingly pleasant, especially since I was initially skeptical. After quitting academia, I began learning SQL and Python on my own through online resources and applied for entry-level jobs for months without success—not even an interview.

Admission to the course is selective; applicants are screened and must interview with a coach. During my interview, I raised concerns about the course's value since I could learn technical skills independently. They don't sell dreams, which I appreciate. They do a really good job of preparing you in 10 weeks for the job in terms of technical and soft skills, but ultimately, it is up to us to do the applications.

While you learn technical skills on your own, they help you develop soft skills, improve your CV, enhance business acumen, and most importantly, constantly challenge you with real-life scenarios—from interpreting ambiguous project requirements and prioritizing tasks under tight deadlines to cleaning and analyzing complex, messy datasets riddled with errors, duplicates, and missing information, as well as presenting findings to non-technical stakeholders.

I believe the second stage ("Apply") was the most valuable, as I experienced an office environment firsthand. Working in different teams, struggling with projects, debating with teammates, and ultimately celebrating a successful outcome was unique. It may sound cheesy, but it felt real.

I also want to commend the coaches. I cannot say enough good things about them. They are professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and know how to coach. I enjoyed interacting with every single one of them and wish to keep in touch, not just for networking but because I genuinely enjoyed our discussions.

Long story short, they do not sell dreams. You have to put in the effort, but they help you a lot. You learn about the job, how to be strategic in your job search, and how to perfect your application process. Most importantly, you gain confidence. I believe that compared to competitor programs, it is way more cost-efficient.

This course is amazing and I loved it! I landed a job after a month (of hard work) thanks to the amazing recruitment team (Lisa = Legend). 👌🏾

You get what you put in - the programme material is thorough and gives you room to learn from scratch or improve your existing knowledge. I learnt data skills (of which I had none before I joined) and I got to work on projects that genuinely made me feel ready for the job-market. They don’t teach using traditional methods but use activities and project-based learning that make you apply your skills. My favourite part was working as a team and bouncing ideas off of each other in a safe space. I now know my own strengths and weaknesses a lot better and have learned so much from my peers too!

My confidence has shot up, I’ve learnt so much, met so many incredible people (coaches and peers) and I’d definitely recommend this programme. ❤️

I came feeling like I know a lot. I was wrong!! The iO Sphere program has pushed me, made me develop analytics BUT more importantly life skills. Everything is a funnel and everything is about impact, just remember that!! The coaches are amazing!!! Really amazing it’s almost crazy we have access to these coaches

I went into iO-Sphere very nervous. After a long period of unemployment due to illness, I was having a hard time securing interviews and felt a drastic change was needed. I felt like I was taking a leap of faith making the application, but looking back, I couldn't feel better about the choice.

The coaches are knowledgable, passionate, and genuinely committed to your success. Their expertise and backgrounds are diverse, helping you to gain multiple perspectives and each bringing their own invaluable insights. If you put in the effort during the course, the coaches will put in the effort with you.

The learning can feel intense at times, but the support from the coaches and your peers is the greatest resource in those moments. Again, if you put in the effort, you will succeed.

The group projects in the second half of the course are instrumental in preparing you to dive straight into a Data Analyst role. It's easy to feel like you already have all the necessary workplace skills from previous employment, but you quickly realise that there is always more to learn. The simulated workplace environment tests you on often-overlooked areas, such as communication with upper management or management of sensitive data, a skill that is crucial in the GDPR era.

Finally, what made this experience truly special were the people I worked alongside. Your peers become more than just simulated coworkers; they become a source of support and inspiration throughout the course. If you end up in a cohort with peers half as nice as mine were, you'll be incredibly fortunate.

Ultimately, I can't recommend iO-Sphere highly enough. I had a transformative experience that not only gave me the skills, but also the confidence that the end of my employment gap is in sight. If you're ready to put in the effort, iO-Sphere will be there to guide and support you along the way.

The coachers are great, you can tell they genuinely care about what they are teaching you and are just super fun in general! Overall occasionally disorganised with schedules at times but not enough to make a significant impact. Fast paced (which they are transparent about at the start), but most of the content was super helpful in preparing for a job, and genuinely interesting as well. Definitely helps to see how a data analyst would work in a business context, and you can clearly see how quickly you progress from week 1 to 10. Also lots of options for additional learning/practice

Firstly I'd like to address the review left in Dec 2023, just incase it unduly influences anyone, by an anonymous user (would be helpful if you shared your name, I'm sure the coaches at iO-Sphere would like to follow-up with you to learn more of the issues you report). I highly doubt the positive reviews are from bots as my experience was excellent and I agree with those reviews (I'm not a bot :) ).

My experience of iO-Sphere was epic - I come from a background in academia and had zero knowledge of SQL and other aspects of the course but by the end of the 10 weeks, I could write insane code, use excel and generate delicious visuals in PowerBI!!

The course is very intense (DO NOT ENTER if you expect light work), as you learn so much in such a short space of time. It replicates normal working hours but depending on your learning style, you may spend additional hours outside of this (though this is discouraged by the coaches - you can always reach out if struggling with deadlines).

The coaches are amazing, they are experienced data analysts who are passionate about data and teaching, which really makes the process enjoyable. They are all very approachable and willing to support you in any way they can (you just have to reach out).

The final 5 weeks of the course has you working in different groups on real word data (simulated business but the data comes from a legit e-commerce company) to complete requests (from stakeholders) that you'd expect to receive when working as a data analyst. This allows you to build on the skills you 'acquired' in the first 5 weeks and gives you experience working with a team on a common goal (you'll also take turns acting as Team Leader) - Invaluable for interview questions like 'Tell me about a time you worked in a team, or took the lead on a project'.

On that note, you also have interview prep each week, where you practice answering behavioural style questions - This is not enjoyable but necessary and definitely gets easier as the weeks go on. You'll also get support with your CV and feedback from the careers coach.

I honestly don't have a bad word to say about iO-Sphere, they exceeded my expectations in every way and I am extremely grateful to all of the staff (party pigeon emoji)!
